We have photographed two weddings here, a bit different from each other, but very excellently executed both times. Jessica & her team manage setup, the overall look of an event, and the flow of guest activity without a hitch. Having separate spaces for each section of a wedding reception—cocktails at the bar, the dining room for dinner, a dance floor—creates an upscale event feel and flow. The food has always been excellent, staff helpful and courteous. Plus, nowhere else in Durham can beat those views! Highly recommend!

Ever since the pandemic hit full swing, my family and I have tried to find take home meals for special occasions (graduations, welcome homes and farewells, birthdays, etc...). We have now ordered from University Club twice using their family meal offerings. I cannot stress enough how unspeakably delicious the offerings are. The menu changes with varied frequency, and we have never had a bad dish. Even simple dishes and dressings are elevated to a level of indulgence that is incredible. I highly recommend the University Club for lunch, dinner, and any excuse you can find for a beautiful meal. The management is extremely kind and accommodating. Best pandemic discovery in Durham.

Extraordinary TAKE OUT! We picked up a family style with varieties , mostly salmon and shrimp main course that was outstanding. From salad and soup to dessert it was such a fine and delicious dinner. We even had yummy leftovers. They delivered to the car in paper handle bags (wearing gloves) after arrival text. Support our local restaurants if you can.

We hosted a two-day event at the University Club last week, and we couldnt be more pleased. The entire staff bent over backwards to make sure that we were taken care of. The food was delicious, the coffee was hot, and the desserts...I couldnt decide whether the brownies or cookies were better so I had to keep taste testing. Thank you everyone!

I went to an event there on Friday, November 8. I asked the bartender for a drink. The bar was very busy/hectic. The bartender made my drink (which by the way was a regular, no top shelf liquor drink) so I handed him $20 expecting to receive change and the drink to be no more than $10. He takes my $20 and walked off saying the drink was $20, turned his back and went the opposite direction. WHAT! I was so livid! I eventually found the Bar Manager Anthony who apologized and said he would speak to the bartender. However Anthony only offered me a drink to rectify the situation. I eventually confronted the bartender who tried to play dumb about what happened and said I can give you your money back, which he did give me my rightful change back. Just be careful! He probably does stuff like that and with the bar being busy/hectic, he thought he could get away with it. Bartender = male, Latino guy who looked to be in his 30s.

Great food, decor, service & staff.

I came here for a private party so I can only speak on that. FYI - my GPS told me to turn too soon. If you are coming here and you turn at the corner where theres a McDonalds do not make that first left turn after McDonalds, you should take the second left turn. Also, the Club is on the 17th floor of the building, there was no sign stating that. All in all I enjoyed myself and the staff was excellent.

Good food, friendly waiters/bartenders, quick service. Great location for a company party.

I had our wedding reception at the club and from day one Shaun and Kelly were a pleasure to work with. Many venues we visited were stuffy and wanted us to do things their way. This was definitely not the case at University Club. They were the most laid back, easy to work with representatives we encountered in our entire wedding planning!

Great food, wonderful buffet when available. Bar and wait staff are very good and exceptionally attentive. I definitely recommend membership for anyone who hosts clients often or just enjoys consistent and good food. An exceptional place to rent for a special occasion.

Dining at the University Club is such a wonderful experience. The meals are as always beautifully presented and excellently prepared - compliments to the chef and staff. The atmosphere and service is top notch. The minute you step off the elevator you are greeted and welcomed in such a warm way which stays with you throughout the evening. Thank you UC Team.

Ive been a member for more than 30 years. I dont get there often but it is always a treat.

University Club has some of the best views in Durham . Ive been there for private parties and business meetings. No matter the occasion, the staff provides top-notch service. I love every visit that I have there.

Great food especially the salmon with Mac and Cheese and Sauteed Spinach is delicous. Topped off the evening with Gourmet Chocolate Chip Cookies and Citrus Cider.

We recently hosted our wedding reception at University Club - and the experience was 100% positive one from start to finish. Amanda (the event coordinator) walked us through every step, giving us plenty of flexibility while also offering guidance in making decisions in perfect measure. She and her staff did almost all the decorating - The food was great, the space intimate and perfect for our wedding of ~100. thank you very much for hosting us! (and to top it all off, this was one of the most affordable places we found in Durham to host a reception)

Great Restraunt, love the fresh quality of the seafood and lobster dishes, so fresh and full of flavor. The staff are awesome, so respectful, professional, and very knowledgeable. Staff are always on point and remember all your favorites. Great wine list. It is well worth the price for a delicious and exquisite meal, great place to come and celebrate almost any occasion or just have a high end lunch!!
