I wish I could give these guys more than 5 stars, they totally deserve it! When I initially talked to Jack on the phone I had no idea what I wanted to do so he took the time to learn my skills and interests to make some suggestions on what to do. Man, does he know his stuff!!! The 3 day backpacking trip we went on was hands down my favorite part of the 2 weeks I spent in Colorado! I was totally confident in his skills/knowledge which allowed me to really enjoy the views and take in the experience! We shared so many great conversations and laughs!! I told him I was a little nervous since I didnt have much experience but he made me feel so comfortable and was so patient with me! Jack is one of those guys who could befriend a park bench- so genuinely kind! I would 100 percent recommend him and his guiding services to everyone! I cant wait until Im in the area again so I can go on another epic adventure! Thank you again Jack! You are awesome!

We had Aidan as our guide and he was INCREDIBLE! He was very knowledgeable about the many questions we had for him. He worked really well with our boys (ages 11 and 13), teaching them and encouraging them. We will definitely be requesting Aidan again for our next rock climbing experience.

Perfect day! Our climbing guide Aidan managed to find the perfect routes for our level (pretty beginner). It was everything we had hoped for and the whole family had so much fun. Aidan was really lovely and a great guide. 100% recommend San Juan Expeditions.

Skied the Anvil with Jack and a buddy! Hands down one of the best days I’ve ever had. Jack was very professional especially with new clients of unknown skill and fitness. He had multiple bail out options that were well though out, as the day went on it was obvious that Jack had clearly thought out all the possible outcomes and constantly reassessed the plan to ensure our safety in the backcountry. 100% will return and recommend their services to anyone who seeks to explore the San Juans!

Im so glad I chose San Juan Expeditions for my AIARE Level 1. The instructors were extremely knowledgeable, and their approach to experiential learning provided me with a solid foundation for safe winter mountain exploration. I cant wait to join these guys on one of their winter mountaineering courses!

I wanted to take my 17 yr old son skiing in the San Juan Backcountry and came across San Juan Expeditions while doing research on line. We ended up going out on a tour with Jack Klim. Not only did Jack keep us safe he showed us some incredible skiing! Steep North facing shots in thigh deep San Juan Powder. He threw in some local history and snow safety discussions to keep it interesting. I highly recommend Jack and San Juan Expeditions.

I took my AIARE Level 1 with San Juan Expeditions and had a blast while learning a lot of critical information. These are the folks you want to get out with! Youll get out with AMGA educated guides who are super knowledgeable about the San Juan range. I took a level 1 Avy course, and left feeling significantly more confident about my ability to make sound decisions in avalanche terrain. And, I had a great time doing it. Ill definitely be back for more avy education in the future!

My 15 and 17-year-old had Jack for their guide. He was an personable and outstanding climbing guide. He is a safe, patient, thorough, and fun teacher. It is rare to find someone with such high skills who is also a good teacher. The kids really liked that he just got back from climbing Denali. Once he assessed their skills, he upped the difficulty and kept them engaged. They even got to do some crack climbing for the first time. I would not hesitate to hire him again. If I could give him 10 stars, I would. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

Took the 3 day spring ski mountaineering camp with Tico and had a blast skiing steep chutes in Silverton all weekend long. Picked up a few techniques to make climbing and skiing big peaks easier and more accessible. Tico took good care of our small group, making sure we were making good time and were staying on safe terrain. He had an immense amount of local knowledge about the weather, conditions and terrain. Our planned objectives were challenging but obtainable and pushed us to step out of our comfort zones. I would definitely recommend SJE, and Im looking forward to taking more classes with them next season.

I spent 4 days splitboarding with Jack Klim in Silverton. It was absolutely ridiculous how much fun we had. The area is unlike any other I have been in for the sheer quantity of peaks and terrain to ski. Combine that with a guide who genuinely wants to show you everything the area has to offer and cares about teaching you to be safe in the backcountry and I think you have a recipe for an epic experience that you will remember for years. I know I will, and I’m already wishing I could go back!

San Juan Expeditions is second to none!!! Top notch guide and instructors.My wife and I spent some days on the rock anchor building with our guide and instructor Jack Klim. Fantastic experience!! We are so fortunate to work with his company SJE and to be trained by the greatest guide (captain Jack) and guide company around. Kling Mountain Guides has amazing rock climbing instructors! They are thorough, patient and very encouraging. We did an all-day rock climbing class with Jack Klim yesterday. He is so knowledgeable and really stays engaged while you work on your skills; offering practical advice and support. The gear that they provided was first rate and we were particularly impressed with their focus on safety and building skills through practice. We were climbing near another KMG guide named Aiden. He seemed really well suited to working with families! If I could rate them higher than a 5-star I certainly would do so! We plan to book a backpacking trip with them this fall.

I took my AIARE rec 1 with KMG. Josh and his guides are experienced, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend them!

Fair price, great time, amazing guides. Would definitely use them again on a return trip. Highly recommended : )
