The trails here are standard northern Minnesota fare - lots of hard climbs and tight turns, followed by downhill with tight turns, littered with rocks, gravel, and the occasional bare rock surface. Full suspension is recommended, and at minimum a set of beefy tires and shocks. However, the spectacular view at the top of the trail system looks down on Duluth and Superior, and is absolutely worth the rough climb to the top.Parking isnt great and the trails are mildly confusing and dont always have maps at intersections, so take a photo of the trail map and know what trail youre on and what you just passed.

Brewers Park is one of my favorite places to ride in Duluth. Home Brew is a great intermediate trail with plenty of rocks and technical sections. The Piedmont Trails and the Duluth Traverse can be easily accessed from Brewers Park by riding down to and through the tunnel under Haines Road. Then ride down the road a short way to the parking lot where you can pick up the other trails.
