Wonderful experience for our anniversary with friendly people all around. AJ was our teacher and showed us how to make a glass stem. So many color options and perfect for beginners. He was so friendly and informative, you can tell he enjoys his work. We enjoyed a nice glass of wine when he was assembling our glasses, 12 to choose from! So... Dont just watch the demo, go make so items yourself. Solid 5 stars

HORRIBLE place to go would not recommend it at all they kick you out of the store for not having mask on when you have medical conditions.Ok I told the guy with the bandana on his face that I have a medical condition. The way you came walking out of the back room and said You have to put a mask on or get out is not a polite way of asking. You never gave me a chance to tell you I have a medical condition. Plus there was 5 other people around me that heard me say it.

We came here for a pendant making class on a recent trip to Duluth, and were thrilled with the experience. We worked with Sammy, who was super knowledgeable and friendly, working with us to teach us and support us as we made our pieces. We both ended up making 4-5 pendants, each unique and an improvement on our last as Sammy gave us tips and helped us build our skills. All of the staff were really nice and we enjoyed every minute of our visit. Highly recommended for Duluth visitors!

My wife and I couldnt have been happier with our lampworking class at Lake Superior Art Glass. The instruction at the start of the class was thorough and easy to understand. Dan and AJ (our instructors) were very involved in monitoring our progress and offering suggestions and encouragement along the way. The shop itself is state-of-the-art with an impressive collection of glass art for sale. Lake Superior Art Glass is truly a gem of an addition to the city of Duluth.

I had a memorial piece made, in honor of my Pops [dad]. I had them design a starfish for me and they added the two colors I wanted- purple and teal[suicide awareness colors] and his ashes. They told me it would take up to 2 months to get it finished, but it took them 2 days!! The artist did a fantastic job, it makes me extremely happy.Wish I could post pix with this review but idk how lolHighly recommend this studio for whatever kind of art you are looking for.

My husband and I took the paperweight class. Very fun and VERY hands on! They show you different techniques and all the tools. All creative decisions are left up to you, so it is incredibly personalized. My hubby even explained the concept of why he likes glass and Jake, the instructor, worked with him to make a plan on how to achieve it!Weve done a flower making class at the Corning Museum of Glass, and I feel that the Lake Superior Art Glass class was definitely better, as you were actually involved in making your item, and not just sitting at a bench while the glass blower did all the work.Highly recommend to anyone who likes glass objects, and those looking for an immersive experience.

Walked in and was browsing around. We were really admiring the awesome looking galaxy balls. Had 2 different girls come up and talk to us and explain some things about the art and said they could take something out of the locked shelves if we wanted a closer look.I asked about classes to take as i am thinking about doing some and the girl was so nice and helpful with questions i had.So i took a brochure and left. As i was walking out i noticed they close at 8 and it was 8:06. I didnt realize that and felt so bad. They never mentioned they were past closing hours and despite my mistake keeping them past closing time they were still so nice.So sorry about that and will pay better attention next time.

I never even think to leave reviews online, but my boyfriend and I had such a great time here last week taking the wine goblet class, I couldnt help myself! Sam and AJ are talented, awesome, and hilarious instructors and made this such a unique experience. A very hands-on (and judgement-free) zone! Its simple - choose your stem glass colors, and grab a glass (or three) of whatever wine you want out of the Black Box wine tower, and make some art! We hope to go back again soon!

I have a glass necklace of lake superior that my brother gave me after I moved away from Duluth (where we grew up) and I wear it every day. Nearly every day, someone comments on how stunning the necklace is, asking me where I got it, saying how beautiful it is. Thats why I wear it every day - its beautiful and amazingly well crafted, and a little piece of home I carry everywhere I go. I just found out Lake Superior Art Glass makes a range of other beautiful pieces as well, so I cant wait to stock up!! 10/5 stars, if I could.

We made our own wine goblets this past weekend! The process started with classes led by Sammy and Ryan of Lake Superior Art Glass. In class they explained to us that we’d be creating the stem of the goblet by working a glass rod through a 2 foot open flame shooting out of the workbench right in front of us! Needless to say, we were all a little scared until we got started; then we all relaxed. We were able to customize the stems by adding color and giving it a unique shape. Sammy and Ryan at @Lake Superior Art Glass added the top of the goblet to the stem and we’ll be picking up our completed works of art next week. We all had a blast and would recommend this to anyone. We will definitely be coming back for another class!
