This is not like any aquarium I have been too. I love that they have rescue animals that they are rehabilitating. Felt as safe as you could get and still be open during CoVid.. lots of signs to designate route and leaving space. Also its a huge building. So great to see fresh water animals at this scale.. and who knew sturgeon were so gigantic and prehistoric looking??!! The otters are absolutely adorable and fun to watch play around. Amazing to see an eagle up to close! My nephew who loves aquatic life really loved being here despite being on the cusp of being a tween

I really enjoyed visiting this place with my girlfriend! There was a lot more to see and learn than I originally thought there would be. Only disappointment I had were the otters not being out and about in their exhibit when we were there. Definitely plan on coming again, whenever things can get back to somewhat normal, in order to do the interactive exhibits that were closed due to COVID.

There is plenty to see, but less to do right now unfortunately. Even during the pandemic, the aquarium is a good place to spend an hour or two with the family though. Theyve taken good precautions and made as much of the facility available as possible. What you can do is still engaging and definitely exciting for the young ones and the large thank is still mesmerizing to all. Were local to the area and enjoy coming here once a month or so to see all the animals and talk with the wonderful and knowledgeable staff.

Weve always loved the aquarium and since reopening they have made a one way type flow of traffic around the entire building and also signs on the floor stating only one group at a time in each section to encourage social distancing. The play areas like the water tables and the big tree with the slide are currently closed as well as the big tank where you can touch the fish but my 3 and 7 year old still loved it!

What a wonderful place to learn about the Great Lakes and local Minnesota wildlife. This aquarium is extremely unique and offers a wonderful time for families and kids. This Aquarium has multiple floors with a variety of interactive exhibits. On our visit they even had jelly fish for you to touch! You can also tell how hard the employees work here and they really care about your visit. The gift shop at the end is well stocked and offers unique items to remember your trip.

Also great view of the lift bridge ;)

We had a great time going today. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Had a very nice gift shop and could also get 8 different penny designs. You were able to touch 3 different kinds of water life. So much to look at and enjoy. Also loved that kids had several different options of things to try out. Would go back any time in Duluth. You can also safe a dollar by going online and paying in advance. Also if you didnt know if you do have a EBT card you can show them that along with your ID and get a reduced price. If you have a chance to go make sure you go.

Inexpensive to get in and you are able to see a wide variety of different species found in the Lake Superior waters. The inner child in me also loves the tank where you’re able to touch the sturgeons. There were plenty of fish and other animals to look at, even if exhibits were pared down due to COVID-19 measures. Arrows and lines directed us through the exhibits. The Great Lakes Aquarium is a truly magical visit for all ages. I recently revisited the aquarium for the first time since childhood with several first-time Duluth visitors, and noone left the visit without having learned something and without a smile on their face.We loved the interactive exhibits, from the sea life to the sturgeon, and really enjoyed the opportunity to be that much closer to some of the more ancient and amazing aquatic critters that inhabit this beautiful planet. The giant electric eel was fascinating as well, adorable in its playful ways and antics as it rubbed against the floor and the walls for stimulation. The only downside is the cost, as parking and admission are both a bit steep, but the visit is definitely memorable and staff are friendly, making it worth the price in my opinion.

The exhibits themselves were very good. We had heard it was only local fish but that wasnt true. My only complaints would be Covid related. Great facility and courteous staff! Excellent place to bring kids with lots of hands on activities and learning opportunities. The fish were very cool, but some of our favorite residents were the birds and other animals that had been rescued in the wild with various life threatening injuries that prevented them from returning to their native habitat. The staff work diligently to keep the animals engaged and content.

The exhibits themselves are really cool, but they are very poorly marked and if they do have any signage most are too high for children to see/read. The bathrooms were nasty and dirty. If I am going to be required to wear a mask then the least they could do is keep their facilities clean!

Looking at its size, I did expect a bit more to see, but all around decent aquarium experience. It was around $38 for 2 adult admission (I think my 2 yo was free), it was a bit more expensive than I would have liked simply because you can easily be in/out in 30 minutes. Maybe Im being over critical, but compared to other aquariums weve been to, this doesnt make my top picks. I still give 4 stars because it is a nice place and was nicely kept up, just more expensive than I thought it was worth.

It was okay. You see these fishes when you go fishing and boat riding. They had good directions of following Covid. However, there were kids running ahead and we felt rushed to move on. There were also people standing at an area for almost a good 15 mintues before we decided to move on.Overall, the experience is more for family with children, it is a tiny place with only a few selections. If youre a couple, it is good to take pictures, but theres not a log of selection. Its more of your everyday zoo and outdoor things you see. Theres no wow-ing in it besides the sharks and the sinked ships.
