This club is huge. It can even fit like hundreds of people inside. It even had the biggest dance floor in the city. My friends and I love going to this place to unwind and have some beer after a week of work. It is our stress-reliever. Their food is so delicious, too. This is the perfect place for party-people like me.

Nice two sand volleyball courts (good high ceilings but a little tight on the sides). Three pool tables, two sets for bags (corn hole). They used to have a few small bowling alleys but that has been converted to meeting rooms. Decent bar food but was a lot better in the past with a really good chef now it’s just okay.

Honestly sub par. I have been here many times and its been a good place, however the food is bought at sams club and is overpriced. I decided to give it another chance however when I went to pay my tab gratuity of 25 percent was already added by the bartender. I will gladly tip well, but I dont feel that they should Automatically tip themselves. Dont go here if you want to overpay.

This bar was really fun to visit! My coworkers and I came here after our meeting and did Karaoke! We had a blast on stage, it was such a good time! Also they have beanbag tables to play, indoor volley ball, and salsa classes! Thanks for the fun memories!We were definitely the life of the party haha!

Our drinks tasted horrible. We waited 20 minutes for service then finally went to the back bar to order food and drinks. We came because if karaoke, that was fine, the KJ was great. If we come back it will because of her, and not to eat food.

Great staff, interesting place. Come here for variety. It is its own different and a little strange place with pizza, volleyball, and beer

Good time in a city far, far away.

Ive only been to the dance classes which are great. Not a fan of the sweaty smell sometimes when we come in and there are people playing volleyball. A bar smelling like a gym is not good.Edited to clarify smell is not the norm. Most of the time, the place seems clean and there is no smell. I only go a couple nights a month so can only speak for what I have experienced.

Not only is this place big but they have to indoor volleyball courts which is kind of obvious. Something most people wouldnt know is the food here is really good. Its not your typical bar food. The drink specials could be a little bit better but overall not bad. The staff is what really makes this place. Everyone that works there from bartenders to security to bus girls are all amazing and friendly

This bar literally has everything! I had an awesome time at the Sunday night karaoke. But if I wanted to I could have, played beach volleyball, done salsas dancing, played pool, bags, and/or shuffle board.I cant wait to go back and bring friends.

Pretty decent food for a bar of its size. Indoor sand volleyball and plenty of table games including a full sized shuffleboard table. I didnt get the feeling that it was super clean, but I didnt go there to look at the floors, I went there for the shuffleboard and had a great time.

Food was over priced and High School Cafeteria quality. I think there are better values to be had in the area. Also, dont lean on anything.

Amazing food backed by great service. You can tell the staff take pride in what they do. So many fun games and things to do could spend hours here with a few buckets of beer.

I honestly have never been inside but a close friend of mine works there and I have heard from many that its a great place. So I will give a 5 star here just from word of mouth.

Where people play volleyball. In the sand. With no shoes. Come on now: you really don’t understand why they can’t offer drinks that come in a glass?

Use to go there when it was north beach. I was content with the place. It served its purpose. Pool tables. Bags. Beer. Food. People. Oxygen. Slow rotation of the earth. All these things were present. No surprises good or bad.

Dont get me wrong its really nice place but the food was horrible they should be embarrassed selling the po boys they sell there I am a cook for many years and I take my food serious obviously they dont the quesadillas were okay not the best either. The chicken wings were alright also with how could you really go wrong with chicken wings my advice if you go there eat first

Im on the fence with this place. I know the owner, not like great friends but casually have know him for a few years now. I hate to not offer a gleaming review because I genuinely want him and the establishment to do well but his prices on food and drinks are, in my opinion, outrageous. Im not going to go into specifics but there are others right around the corner, across the parking lot, or even just a block or two away that offer much more value and better quality. What keeps me going here is the volleyball. I play leagues there and its fun to grab a beer with friends and play and watch. Dining isnt an option. I make pretty good money but just cannot justify some of the pricing given that local competitors offer the same items either in greater quantity for the same price or similar quantity for less. Drink specials arent all that special. Food is kinda bland and overpriced. The people and the volleyball are really the only reasons I frequent this place.

If you are planning on drinking here expect to wait a very long time for your drink. On a busy Saturday night they have 1 bartender who asked us 4 to 5 times what we wanted and kept giving us the run around. Long story short we waited 20 minutes and never got a drink so we walked out. They had 5 security guards on duty though, but only 1 bartender. This place would have been fun if we could actually have better service.

I Loved this place because it is A family place that literally the whole family can come in, they offer Salsa Dancing, Volley Ball with Real Sand, Pool Tables, Security @ Door, Food, Drinks, Someone Name Darrell Cole who plays there on stage with an excellent Spirit & Smile that is contagious are some of what goes on @ The Sand Club in Downers Grove

Great place, cant recommend enough. never a long line for the bar, food, or bathroom. Clean place. Average prices for the area I.E. $4-5 beer, $8 burgers. Lots of fun activities, volleyball, board games, dancing, karaoke.. & Giant Jenga!

Really dead and empty for a Saturday afternoon. Also smelled pretty bad around the sand area. Nice staff and fine drinks. Food was just ok. Probably a better night time hang location.

Place is awesome so much going on and the bartenders are always making good drinks and taking care of there customers ...zero complaints....besides i cant rent a court with my friends bring in a battery operated fake fire and beach chairs and sit in the sand with my friends like on a beach with a beer..... Other than that ..zero complaints

The WORST bar Ive been to. They are never prepared for large groups for Roller Derby after parties. Its a drag to get a beer from either bar, be aware that youll get attitude and sass from at least one of the bartenders. My last visit my friend and I both ordered chicken tenders from their special roller derby menu. When we got them his chicken was fully cook and mine was completely raw in the center, not a little pink, full raw flesh. My friend got a refund for me but I dont think Ill ever order food there even if I havent eaten all day.

Theres swing classes every Tuesday ,5$ for beginners and 15 for intermediate.

Was kinda dead the night I was there but had everything necessary for a good time. From there friendly staff to all there bar games(darts,billards,shuffle board,bags, etc). They even had karaoke!

The Saturday night DJs were very good. The lesbian meetup provided a festive atmosphere. I won at darts so obviously a good place to go for drinks and games.

Good pool tables! I liked the bartender too. Sand volleyball needs a lighting upgrade or something. Save mad money on power and add brightness with led replacement bulbs. I dunno maybe people dont like it hella bright? Black light volleyball could also be epppiicccc. Will be back.

Absolutely awesome staff. The location was very accessible and the place was filled with so many activities. We had an event with our residency program and the owner was very flexible in accomodating to our needs.Name sure to try the activities. The giant Jenga is a big hit. The volleyball courts are clean and they almost make you feel like you are at the beach playing volleyball with your friends. Our group really enjoyed the experience at Downers Sand Club - especially the Sunday Karaoke. Next time we are signing up in advanced so we can all sing!

A great place for indoor sand volleyball Kama especially during the winter and cold season. I havent tried any of the other areas order food, but I hope it does better then to old North Beach clubs.
