I love everything about the Tivoli Theater! The staff is always so friendly, patient and helpful. Especially, Angela. Excellent customer service. The theater is always clean and comfy. I think their popcorn is by far the tastiest. The theater itself is so beautiful and one of my favorite things in Downers Grove. Please don’t ever change it!

This is one of my favorite places in all of Chicago. I enjoy coming here with my family to see old classic movies, especially during the Christmas season. You need to get tickets for those ahead of time but it is totally worth it. The theater makes you feel like you are traveling back in time.

My husband and I have always enjoyed going to the Tivoli. The theater itself is beautiful and we love that old time feel. Tonight we took our family plus 1. She had not seen the movie nor been to Tivoli. She enjoyed both. Our sons also the night and said it was fun. We would like to attend more events at the theater.

Been going here since the movies were s quarter for second run films. They still show those, but also need films. Old time seating, but decor has been kept classic, even with some remodeling. They have an organ player that plays until showtime. They also do family things on Saturday matinees and during holidays.

I was transported back in time. This theater is beautiful. So well maintained. They had a live organist which was so fun. It was such a throwback to not have reserved seating. I forgot how it added to the experience, picking out our own seats in media res! The employees are dressed so cute, the prices are good. Also they have the flavored popcorn powders! I can’t wait til I have children I can take here. Such an experience.

Beautifully restored classic theater with excellent sound and picture. The elegance of going to the theater instead of the mall. One large screen instead of many smaller screens. Reasonable ticket and concession prices. Even a bar. Friendly and polite staff. A great place!

Ive been here two years in a row now for the Warren Miller ski movie release. Great classic theater. Reasonable concession prices. I like that they have an alcohol stand at the Warren Miller releases each year. Not sure if they do this for all movies. Lots of seats in theater. Bathrooms are nice and clean.

One of the best old movie theaters in the Chicago area. Not the biggest screen and dont think that the sound system is that great cuz I have a hard time hearing English accent dialog, but the place is very clean and the prices are reasonable. Get there a little early to find street parking and listen to the house organ on Friday and Saturday evening shows. Friendly staff and patrons

The Tivoli Theatre is historical classic movie theatre for many years since it was built in 1928. We have been enjoying many movies there over the many years. It is the one people go to from surrounding communities that do not have a theatre in their town. It has kept their prices down so people of any income can afford to come see a good movie. I have enjoyed this theatre since 1950s. I remember the Tammy and the Bachelor movie premiere. That was one of the very famous movies in 1950s. It has had many famous movies showing there since then. Also the popcorn, snacks & drinks have been very good for a long time too. So if you like a good movies, go to this theatre. You will enjoy it & return many times like I do !

Classic theater. Very clean theater and bathrooms, i love the unlimited free refills on popcorn and drinks, and they even sell liquor now. The seats are okay, they feel the same as Cinemark Seven Bridges, except they dont tilt back. The only negative to me is that the volume always sounds too low here. I can hear it fine, but I like to hear movies in the theater louder and not be straining to hear what their saying.I have so many memories coming here when I was younger with large groups of friends. I recently came here last Tuesday to see Avengers End Game. I expected the theater to be packed since it was sold out in most theaters. There were more people here than I usually see, but it was sad that it wasnt close to packed. Id love to see more families from the community coming here, teens and kids.

The Tivoli is a great, historic theater with tons of charm. From the old school marquee to the sweet Wurlitzer, it checks all the vintage boxes. As for viewing a movie, the theater is huge so there are plenty of non ideal seat locations, so you should arrive early. Also, the seating is decent but certainly not the reclining luxury offered at many other facilities. Still gets 5 stars!

It is hard to beat the price and value of the Tivoli. The theater is massive, well maintained, and looks great. Ticket prices are cheap, and there are free refills on soda and popcorn. They now have a bar to get drinks at if you are into that, and regularly show movies on their release date. They only have one screen and switch the movie that they are showing every 1-2 weeks. All in all, the Tivoli is a Downers Grove classic that is hard to beat.

Very nice historic theater with a ton of seating and some of the most reasonable prices for first run movies. Flipside is that only show 1 film at a time and due to the size of the theater the impressive sound that is really felt with modern movies in smaller venues isnt experienced here. For some that would be a plus, for others not. Nice venue if you want to see the show theyre playing but unlikely to be the only theater you see films on.

I love this theater. My husband and I try to go out once a month even if it is just to see a movie. This time around we decided to see Batman at the Tivoli Theater. I absolutely adored it. This is my all time favorite movie theater and one of the last of its kind. One giant screen with 5 isles, beautiful high ornate ceiling & if you go there on the right night, an organ playing before the previews. Its old school Hollywood glam.
