I love Matrix theatre group. I was with them when i was in High School back in 1990s and they where still meeting up in the old Clark Park YMCA. I very proud of the organization they have become. Please visit their website to see what they are upto.

Excellent local theatre. A small, intimate space means they have to be on their game. Always topical and socially conscious.

Productions that are always worth seeing, well- executed and with timely subject matter. They also have wonderful childrens programs. A vital Detroit institution worth supporting!

A Wonderful theater full of quality inspired theater. The cozy size provides an intimate atmosphere for any show. You feel a real sense of community after any show and youre sure to make a new friend or two.

My husband and I, along with some friends, went to see Dream Deferred: Detroit, 1967, yesterday. It is a wonderful play with wonderful acting. We are not originally from Michigan and did not live in the area in 1967. We learned some things we did not know. The play coupled with the exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum are great educational experiences. This was my second time seeing a play at the Matrix (my husbands first). It is a small, intimate theater. Because it is small, there are no bad seats. We will be sure to go back.

Spent some of my teen years here. Very valuable life lessons learned here. Get hands on experience in the theatre. Or come by and watch a play. Open your mind and broaden your horizons.

Small, intimate theater, good acting. Saw a play about Detroit 1967 - very good. A lot of insights from different perspectives.

Visited for the first time to see Motherhood Out Loud on Mothers Day Eve with my mom, mother in-law, sister, and sister in-law. The acting was phenomenal and everyone left laughing. I will definitely be returning in the future.
