They are taking their covid precautions seriously. Separate lanes for entry and exit. Hand sanitizer everywhere. Temperature checks and questionnaire while driving in. Plexiglass dividers between many slots. Everyone was wearing a mask. Hand wipes available for you to take. Non-smoking was great for me too, do not know how I would breath otherwise!

It’s very nice . Rooms were excellent clean, nice little set up. I slept so good in their bed .I got this room for coming to the casino a lot free . The deposit was only 50.00 and you will get that back as long you leave the room with no damages. It’s so nice they had that promotion cause I would go as soon as they offer it.I love going to the casino they getting a nice room when they have promotions. I would love to go again soon when it’s offered.

First, this casino is very old and full of dust. The vents in my room were very dusty and hadn’t been cleaned at least since Covid. Second, trying to leave the hotel on foot without going through the casino is impossible. Then it’s very easy to get turned around and lost. No one seems to understand that people stay in the hotel without going into the casino and won’t always give good directions. My bathroom wasn’t really clean, there was used tp on the floor. Really wish I’d booked somewhere with stricter hygiene standards

This place was awesome. It was my first time in Detroit and everyone here was very helpful and friendly. The decor is awesome. There are a lot of food options, drinks are good. The atmosphere was great, the casino was fun, I even got a $15 playing credit for booking here. The rooms are spacious and clean... Nice corner city view. And the room service was nice also. Ill definitely come back if Im in Detroit again.

Love this place! The parking is extremely easy to get in and back out to the major highways (75, 96 and 94) in the area. The casino screening is done very professionally and quickly. The staff at the Fanduel Sportsbook were very professional, friendly, and quick. I highly recommend this casino over the other area casinos.

I like to gamble so my decision is biased. I loved it here! They have a good selection of food in the food court and I didnt have to worry about driving after drinking in the casino all night. This place is also safe and secured.

So I went to the casino on Tuesday (11/10/20).... Left contact information. I had knee surgery schedule for today (Mon 11/16). So I had to get a covid-19 test. Comes back positive. Ive been outta work for a week before that. So the casino is a super spreader. Ive now been on hold for over 30 min tryin to tell these people. But all I can get is a 866# which is a joke right now...... To All You People That Thinks This VIRUS Is A Joke Put UR Damn MASK on...

Wouldnt let me in with my ID, yes it is expired but thats because my birthday was during the covid shut down and appointments are months away and I havent been able to get in... and everywhere else well let me in and serve me... rating will change once Im able to actually go inside the casino

Spacious room. Comfy bed. Huge towels take your choice shower or deep tub, not much of a view from our room. Downside was really cleanliness of the place. Stained carpet in the room as well as the hallway. Layer of dust on the tops of lampshades and shelving.

I havent been to the hotel but the casino is cleaner now. They also have a new sports bar on the lower level. It has many flat screen TVs and comfortable chairs with cup holders that have outlets. They also have a charging station to charge your phone also. The food court is now open but the buffet and metro lodge are closed.

Unacceptable online reservation system. I attempted to book a room though the online system, however, after placing the reservation, the window just closed, no confirmation number, nothing, just closed. I waited for a confirmation email, nothing. When I tried to look up the reservation online, nothing. So I assumed I had no reservation, and the system glitched out. Tried to call,could not get through. Turns out I did have a reservation. Was charged a no show fee, and cancelled. Tried to call to resolve the no show fee, but was told I should always call to confirm a reservation because the online system isnt always reliable. Very trustworthy. I would expect that from a roadside motor lodge, but not a state of the art luxury hotel. Will never reserve again.

First impression was that it was big,clean and beautiful inside customer service was amazing from start to our last day the hotel has a casino and other things inside we was able to go into the casino mask enforce wish it was great cuz everyone had them on. Getting to our room i was impressed how big the room was. Especially i love the bathroom omg that tub was everything during our stay .the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean the only thing i notices that the room was very dusty .the room has a fridge and a coffee matching all they need its a microwave. The tv has cable and we was able to stream to the tv from our phone free thats plus. Another thing we notice was we was there for 5 days and on our 3 day i left the maintain light on to get the room service we came back and the room was the same..so ask the cleaning lady outside why our room wasnt clean she say we have to ask the front desk so i did on my way out .they say they dont services the room untill we leave strange cuz i have stay in hotel and have come back to clean room again.other then that i keep the room clean and pick up the room before i left ..o note there was noting todo around there everything its deserted like the movie im legend if it wasnt for the hotel .but the purpose of our visit to Detroit was to go to the motown museum wish we did and love it ..

Omgoodness it was the first time staying at the hotel it was awesome. The staff was great went out of their way to help, polite, professional and just plain nice!! I loved the bath tub and the precautions staff took due to coronavirus. Loved it!!!

What an AMAZING place to stay! The beds are comfortable, the rooms are beautiful, as is the view. The bathtub and shower were fantastic and they have robes in the room for you to use. The employees were all polite. I used the shuttle service to go to a concert at Little Caesars Arena so that was so convenient considering I dont know my way around. The Casino was fun even though I am not a gambler. I wish I could have enjoyed more of what they had to offer and would definitely stay again!

Its an extremely nice casino. I didnt win, I actually lost 400 but I still had a good time. There are lots and lots of slot machines!!!!

The casino is fun. The smoke is really bad so if you dont like smelling like smoke, I would suggest staying in the smoke free areas.My 2 star rating is actually more for the hotel. We stayed in a room in January 2020 for a work party. The rooms at first glance are very nice. We had an amazing view also. It wasnt until we had to move the table and chairs in the room that we saw that housekeeping doesnt move the furniture to vacuum. (Reason we moved the furniture was to make more room for my coworkers who were all meeting in my room before our work party) There was old food crumbs, stains, and other unknown little things on the floor after moving the chairs. I wrote to the hotel immediately after and never got a response.Now, just yesterday (February 2020) I realize on my credit card statement that the room deposit was never given back. When I called the hotel, they blamed my bank for not releasing the funds back to me. The bank said the hotel ran it as a charge instead of a temporary debit. I had to call the hotel back with my banks fax number so they could send them information to give me the deposit back. So check your credit card statements carefully after staying at the hotel.**Update: 3/2 - Still fighting to get the $50 deposit back.

I had fun. Ive only been to the casino once and I didnt have any money so needless to say I didnt really have much fun. So knowing Ive got a bad habit of going overboard on most things I took $200 with me. Me n Carli walked around and I sat down down at the blackjack table. The dealer was cool he taught me how to play I still lost. I had fun with my daughter at the casino and thats all that matters

Most people were friendly and practicing social distancing. My only real complaint on this trip was the smoke free area my wife and I usually play is right by the entrance, the entry walkway is currently divided into two 1 way paths. Upon exiting the room we had to turn right, go down a ramp, enter the casino proper, turn left, walk back up the ramp to exit the casino. I have back and hip problems and walk with a cane. Even though there is a small gate between the sections for security to use, security refused to allow me to go that way. We will not return to what has always been our first choice casino until Covid is over or they decide that people with special needs need certain considerations.

We were there this past Sunday morning around 10am. It was great. Checked temps while sitting in car. No wait. Staff inside were super friendly. Machines were being cleaned. One bar was open downstairs, very easy to get a drink.

They had a jetted tub. The room was nice and clean. But there was no continental breakfast. So Ive had better accommodations at a lesser price

This isnt my first time staying at motor City but this is the first time since the pandemic they have put a lot of measures in place and to some extent it seems like customer service has went out the window my husband and I were looking for a in town we can get away he got to the room before I did when I arrived I stopped to get my forehead scanned and proceeded to head upstairs The security guard refused to let me upstairs without calling my husband down which I told him I was not about to do a couple walked in behind me and told the guy that had already checked in he looked up the last name and let them go I asked the security guard why arent you able to simply look up my name why are you making this difficult after lecturing me they let me head upstairs.The second night we stayed we went out and when we got back our room key was deactivated my husband had left his wallet on the nightstand when we went to get a new key made once again we were lectured on how we shouldnt be walking around without her identification and how were they supposed to know it was our room we asked if they could use any of the information that was used to book the room or roll the cameras back for all we care they insisted on having a manager walk us up to the room to get the ID only to come back down to waiting line to get the key made it just seemed like there was so much rigmarole around everything we did order room service while we were there The wings were great The chicken salad was just okay we loved our room just wear a little disappointed in the service

I came here and played $15 blackjack. The dealers were very nice. There was not much atmosphere at the time of day I visited, but I imagine it would be better later at night. Parking was very easy.

Our experience was pleasant. The smoking ban has made it easier for me to breathe and not feel like I needed to wash absolutely everything from head to toe. (Including my purse and its contents.)

Cleaner & fresher than its ever been, although their cleaning to stop Covid was lax. Where we were playing I never saw a single machine get wiped down. Hallelujah for no smoking!!! Cant play together as a couple. We wont go back until we can.

Friendliest dealers, the staff is usually upbeat and positive, had a random boss hook us up with meal comps, just being an awesome person. Always been my favorite casino, hope they use the time off to fix the place up, three of 5 sinks didnt work in the Mens room first floor, by the entrance #giterdone.

Purchased slice of chocolate cake and piece of Boston cream pie from Sweet Ride. Chocolate cake was dense and dry, Boston cream pie was not as creamy as expected. Dont know whos doing quality control, but not impressed.

I would have liked a microwave in my room. The rooms were nice, could have been a little cleaner. We were happy with our room. The casino was a bonus but needed more non smoking area. Maybe one floor should be non smoking and the other floor smoking. Love free valet parking and free parking period. Easy check out would be a bonus were you can call and check out or you ca. Just leave your key in the room. Free play should be an instant reward not a 24 hour later reward.

The employees are working hard and giving their maximum effort. The casino is very clean and their are sanitizer stations seemingly every 20 feet. The dispensers are the best types because they are touchless. The smoking section is in a perfect spot with plenty of space for social distancing. I gave a 4 star rating because the management has not mandated the cleaning of the slot machines in a timely fashion or with the proper frequency. Visit the Fire Keepers Casino and witness the cleaning job performed almost maniacally. Furthermore, the condition of bathrooms were substandard and smelled badly and very dirty. In light of the present circumstances the bathrooms are a common sense focal point. Overall, Motor City Casino is rocking and doing a great job during this terrible time.

I just recently started going to the casinos even tho Ive lived in detroit my whole life. I went to the MGM Grand Detroit 1st for their sportsbook. After going there & winning on their slots, the Motorcity casino seemed old as hell with out dated slots. Having sportsbook betting on 2 floors was kinda cool though. Maybe sundays wouldnt be crowded with 2 floors to bet at instead of 1 like MGM, but we took off to go to MGM. Disappointed. I wanted to like it.

Fantastic hotel with outstanding service. The rooms are very nice. I love the oversized bathroom with large tubs and nice walk in showers. The buffet was really good but try the restaurant on the 16th floor. It is a little pricey but great view of the city and good atmosphere. The casino was nice and they had a band aying when I was there. I will go back. I really enjoyed my stay.

My only complaint is the bathroom still had someones long strands of hair. It was in the tub, on the floor of the bathroom, and in the corners. The room was nice otherwise.

This casino is dimly lit, low ceilings and not very clean. A lot of the machines were broken (as in cracked or missing buttons) and the staff, while friendly to myself and my husband, were behind the bar loudly griping about everyone else who worked there. Not a great environment overall. Greentown and MGM seem much better.

Our first time traveling to Detroit Michigan from nyc purpose of our trip was to go the Motown museum witch we went and it was good.now for the hotel it was nice well keep clean friendly staff checking was fast with no problems.the hotel has a casino and some food restaurants which its a plus cuz u wont have to leave the hotel it has other thing but due to the pandemic they was close. Getting to our room i was amazed how big it was i feel in love with the bathroom beautiful we had everything we need coffee matching tv with cable we was able to use our Netflix on the tv it was great.. One thing that i did notice was that the room was so dusty like it wasnt wiped clean another thing was we didnt know that they dont service the room untill we leave wich it was strange to us cuz we have stay in other hotels and we have come to clean room we did ask the service girl in the hallway and the front desk we got different story but anyway everything else was amazing.we always leave the room pick up and clean. Another thing there was nothing in Detroit city look deserted so not much todo around but the hotel great ...

Clean bathrooms and machines being cleaned by staff every hour would work fine. If I have to wear a mask Im not going.

Motor City fun at the most happening Casino Hotel in town. Rooms are spacious and nice. Access to Casino and restaurants is separate from Hotel which is nice for non smokers. The gym seems to be abandoned but hey it is a Casino. Spa looks awesome but was a little out of my price range. Concierge lounge was great snack option! Why is there a 13th floor?

The place wasnt very clean. We booked a room, showed up and the staff sent us to the room. Tried to get into the room and someone else was already in thatroom. Then they said we booked a different type of room. No microwave as stated in the description. Asked for towels several times ,never received them. Manager was rude about the room situation, stating it wasnt their fault ect. Were cutting this short because its ridiculous!

Went to the casino just to see how things were pretty organized not a lot of machines to play kind of Stuffy but the experience wasnt too bad considering the virus

I usually hate staying at hotels-- Im one of those people who gets grossed out by everything, but I had a wonderful time at the Motor City hotel/casino. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and bright, and our room had a very nice view. The casino was fun (even though I didnt spend that much time there-- Im not exactly a gambler).

It was ok but the machines are so hard to go to the bonus. When they do go they are not getting any thing. Good to not have to dill with the smoke

I love the size of the bathroom! Beds are only double not queen, unless you get one bed, then its a king size. But the room is large with a small fridge.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they are taking extreme precautions, such as taking our temperature in our cars before we even park and enter the building. Very clean and gallons of hand sanitizer at every station! Great job!!!!

It was pretty safe ienviroment. They had hand sanitizer every where, the workers were spraying down machines and stools as each person got up from a machines, also it was spaced everyother machine was blocked so you were 6ft apart.

Really nice hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfy. I do wish they were queen beds instead of doubles. The bathroom was nice and big and well stocked. Workers from the valets to the desk to the security were so nice and helpful. We enjoyed a fabulous meal at the diner restaurant in the hotel and then played some slots at the casino. The only complaint we had was all the smoking. Our room was non-smoking, but the rest of the hotel/casino was not and it really lingered in the air. We understand thats just the way it is, but it did affect how long we stayed at the casino. Overall though a great place to stay.

Well since the Coronavirus Covid-19 and theyre reopening I enjoyed being there some old and some sports betting now cant wait to go back get some luck now they check your temperature before entering so the coronavirus covid-19 wont spread in their building security and staff was safe wearing masks keep everything clean and safe I enjoyed being there 4.5 stars

It was just okay in my opinion. The casino was fun. The food Id give negative stars if I could. The breakfast buffet was $19 a piece and not worth 19 cents. Absolutley horrible!! The room was nice but nothing better than a regular hotel room. It was a fun time but I wouldnt spend that money again there. Staff was friendly!

Motor City Casino is an excellent place to stay! We were greeted with a friendly smile from everyone we came into contact with during our stay! The room was beautiful and the amenities were great too! I can’t remember the last time I stayed in a hotel and the towels felt like home! If you are looking for a get away close to home you won’t go wrong here. They pamper you from start to finish! Everything from the gift shop to the good stays open late in case you should need anything!

The rooms here are quite nice.There are only a couple things holding it back. The pillows are terrible. You get 6, and none are good.Then the walls are thin. Very thin. You here the good times and bad of your neighbors.
