I can’t figure out why this place has such poor reviews: it was clean, the drinks and food were good and delivered quickly, the wait staff was friendly and competent. Parking couldn’t be more convenient. Will definitely return.

We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday. We sat our selves, and the server, Wanda, was right out to say hi.The food was good - I enjoyed The Blaze (not as hot as the name implies) and my wife had the Grouper Sandwich. We both enjoyed our food.We ordered the 45oz drink to split - they were out of the cups, so they made two 24oz drinks instead. They were good!All in all you’re going to pay a little extra because this is a tourist destination, especially for mixed drinks. Our tab was a bit eye watering after a second round...but not unexpected.We would go here again...but we would do beer next time.

Went for lunch. Service was good. Lunch was good. Finished my drink and there was literally some type of metal in my straw. Maybe lead? Who knows. Bartender said he would check into into it. Watch your drink!

Amazing restaurant! Morgan was our server and she was phenomenal. Such good energy and customer service. After walking around we were all grumpy & tired, and she lifted our spirits quick! The food is great. The TNT sauce is amazing if you are into the spicy side of things. 10/10 recommend eating here!!

The raw oysters was hot and taste like water not worth the 25 buck for the full dozen . the bacon Disco burger was worth the 16 . The rock and roll loaded chips was good and worth the 14 the shrimp and grits was good and worth the 17 . The server was nice and fast

First time to visit this restaurant. Family Waited 1 hour which is typical for this evening restaurant area. Not the fault of the wait, But 1.5 hrs later the food came out! If we would have known up front the food delay we would have been able to make a decision to stay or leave. When it finally came it was cold and my wife’s order was only rice & beans, red potatoes and corn. They conveniently told her 1.5 hrs. later that they were out of the rice/beans & potatoes! This long to tell us they were out of food! We heard the kitchen help walked out and did not have professional cooks preparing food! We talked with the lady manager and she made excuses and not one apology! We were nice and patient with the situation but this establishment is not worth eating at!

Had lunch here on July 12th. We ordered a cup of gumbo, side salad, brisket, steamed crab basket and popcorn shrimp. The food wasnt bad but it didnt meet the $130 check. Our waitress was super nice and service wasnt lacking, it just didnt truly seem worth the price.

The waitress was good, communicated well. But the food was terrible. We had a grouper and it wasn’t bigger than a hamburger bun in size with luke warm beans. For $22, we expected more. Our fried fish had a SLIVER of fish inside a whole ton of breading. Was not worth the price at all.

Cool view on the patio. We planned to have dinner but after waiting 25 mins for service and a sub par shrimp app and a sugar drenched cocktail, we left. Dinner elsewhere.

The food was disgusting and WAY overpriced. We had a party of 6 and 3 of us retuned our food because it just wasn’t good. After returning 2 dinners in a 4 group of people, the bill was $100...RIDICULOUS! And the other check with 2 people and one meal was returned was still a whopping $52. Save yourself a bad mood and don’t order food...you will be sorry. And god forbid don’t you order one of those specialty drinks that the price is not shown on the menu...it’s a whopping $29.95 each...and it was horrible to boot! So all in all, it cost 6 people approximately $150 for lunch that we didn’t even eat because it was not edible. Eat a the Pizza place next door...it was amazing and a lot cheaper.

We had a fantastic meal while in Baytowne on vacation. To our delight, their kids meals were generous sized. Our kids had a rib meal, a chicken finger meal and a fried shrimp meal. My husband raved over the smoked ribs and I really enjoyed the pulled pork! This will be a must-have the next time we are in town!

Typical tourist spot. Not a must-visit, food-wise. But we got excellent service from Rashid. He saved an otherwise average meal.

Worst dining experience ever and extremely overpriced. We waited for 45 minutes to be seated. We ordered our drinks and food pretty quickly but it took about 30 minutes to get a margarita, that was $14 and awful. We waited over an hour before any food came out. Two out of the three people got their order. The third person ordered steamed crab legs and never got them. When we asked the waitress how much longer it would be, she said that she didn’t know, the workers in the kitchen were arguing....reallly? Very disappointed! This is not what you would expect from any Baytowne restaurant!

The beer selection was not that great but there was a Dogfish 60 min IPA. It had just stormed and the waitress was trying to get things dried off and serve us. She was great. We only had an appetizer (Rock and Roll Nachos) and split it between 3 people.Im not sure why people act surprised by the prices. Its listed on the menu outside.

I would give it a zero percent chance ANY of the 5 stars are anything but self reviews. Food was absolutely terrible. Waiter was unapologetic and the management refused to compromise for serving almost inedible food. Management was just generally unfriendly and knew full well they had a monopoly on the area and took advantage of it. The 10 min extra walk to the nearest shopping center is well worth it.

I was in town for a couple of days for a good convention and this place was great. I’m from New Orleans Louisiana and go know that the owner was from there a well made me feel right at home. The staff was amazing they always came to check to make sure that was was doing good. Dylan was my server and he was great great very knowledgeable when it go the drinks and the menu so well I came back that same night. I sat at the bar and Corbin waited on me and words can’t describe how great he was all his drinks were on point. This place was so great I came back the next night. To have management come talk to you and tell you the history of this place is breathtaking and she’s so sweet. Even once some of the staff was done with their shift they came over and talked with us. I enjoyed this place and I will definitely come back!!!!!

We visited on 9.6.20. Appetizers were over 30 minutes to receive. Service was poor and the managers attitude toward us was rude and uncalled for. We did not complain but the waiter told us he would discount our meal because of our wait. When we mentioned it, the manager responded hatefully.

First time at this restaurant ,and our last. The restaurant wasnt busy (we were one of two couples) and yet the waitress mixed up our order. While she apologized for the mistake, she did correct the bill to reflect the price of what we ordered, rather than the more expensive item she brought us.. To do this she had to asked the manager to over ride the price. You would think the manager would come to our table to apologize for the error! Oh no, he just turned away and hide in the back. Not a good way to treat a customer.

This place claimed to be open, so our group decided to take the shoelace express. After an hour of walking we show up, completely closed. This place is a disgrace and has rats probably. Just go to Wendy’s and get a 4 for 4 and get a draft beer at Bdubs. Don’t waste your time

There was a confusion as to how this place is run. I took my family and it took us a while before our server greeted us and very rarely visited our table. She was short and a bit rude. My family member had to chase down my server to right a wrong drink. I personally really enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. It was wonderfully smoked and tasted great with the sweet bbq sauce. The half rack of ribs that were ordered were very dry and the beans tasted like they were sitting a while before serving. Prices are decent for such a high end location.Not highly recommended...but meh, food is food...

This was our first time here. We got the loaded pork chips to share. Being from Texas, our bbq standards are high. We were definitely pleased. The pork was delicious, all the sauces to compliment the meat were great. Our server was really sweet with nice suggestions for the remainder of our trip. We will definitely return.

I had an amazing time here. The live band was awesome, I swear they hacked my phone to get my playlist. Great atmosphere and everyone was so friendly. The drinks were good too... as you can see I’m holding on to that rail pretty tight. Too bad I was only visiting. If I’m ever down that way again this is on my to do list.

Excessive wait time for appetizer and entrees. Originally ordered oysters as appetizer but was informed they had run out. Ordered tuna dip, after waiting the fresh chips were anything but fresh. Ordered brisket plate and shrimp and grits as entree, was not informed that they had run out of shrimp and grits until arrival of entrees. Two entrees did make it to the table but I received the fried shrimp basket as a substitute without any consideration as to what I may have wanted instead. The fried shrimp were unseasoned and best described as tasteless. WITH all that was wrong my bill was still 100 dollars. I would give this place a negative star rating if impossible!! It was terrible.

There this past Friday evening for the Wildflower Band performing Tom Petty songs. We had a great time. Food was great - exceptional wings. Drinks did need more liquor - had two and never knew Id had a drink. We had one of the best servers ever. April - attractive blonde!

Saw the menu last second when we were heading to another restaurant. We were drawn to the gluten free options. Almost everything on the menu is GF friendly! Im not used to having so many options. I settled on the chicken tenders basket, which was very tasty. I havent been able to eat tenders in 6 years! Fiance had the bacon disco burger, and it was pretty good and large. The chips were pretty tasty also. Nice atmosphere right on the bay. Service was decent. We were there at lunchtime on Saturday.

Excellent food. Great service. Perfect portions. The best burger, starters, and crab boil in Baytowne. The views were spectacular and the live music added extra charm to the awesome atmosphere. My kids loved the food and music.

Buyer beware.... drink prices are outlandish!! Are you kidding me... $13.25 for a Cosmo and $5.50 for a Mich Ultra in the off season no less? When the tab came, I questioned the bill thinking this can’t be right- reminded him we only had 1 round. I had a $20 for the drinks and with the tax, my $20 bill didn’t even cover it. It’s too bad because the music was good and atomosphere was nice being on the water. Won’t be back - plenty of other options in the area. Charging those kind of prices is no way to attract business- ridiculous drink prices is a HUGE turnoff to customers. :(

Not sure why all the negative reviews but we had a good experience here twice during our stay in the area. Really good smoked meats. The wings were as good as any I had ever eaten. Would have been a five star review but they were out of a number of items on each occassion.

There’s a lot of negative reviews for the restaurant but I’ve been there twice and both interactions were positive. The food tasted really good, isn’t over priced, and is accommodating for those that have dietary restrictions. The waiters that I had were really good and they came to our tables to check on us frequently. I’d definitely recommend this place to eat. It’s also got a nice back deck seating with a great view of the bay. They’re also dog friendly. Never been to the night club.

Not sure why this place doesnt have a higher rating. We decided to try it so we could sit and overlook the bay. We went on a Sunday night and it was packed with great live music. The service was really good despite being busy. My boyfriend and are are not big drinkers and are vegetarian but decided to have a cheat. I got the pork nachos (chips) off the appetizers menu and it was amazing. Id recommend if you are in Baytowne Whorf.

The biggest selection of Gluten-Free dishes that I have seen at a single restaurant! My family and I visited The Village Door Restaurant at Sandestin back in March and were so excited by the number of GF dishes that we purchased way too much food. The GF-only eaters in my family were absolutely ecstatic! The chefs didn’t let us down, each GF and non-GF dish was great! Thank you!!!

We were drawn in by the 45 oz fun bowl. The server told us they were $28 so we ordered 1 before dinner. The menu selection was limited so we decided to go elsewhere to eat. We were charged $30 for the drink & could not taste any liquor. We were then told they didnt have the souvenir glasses until summer...something good to know BEFORE we ordered it. They also added gratuity even though we ordered 1 alcoholic drink & 2 kids drinks. We wont return or recommend.

Mysterious place to find but fun place!

Very friendly staff. Great appetizers. Menu is very tasty. AWESOME music! Makes me want to get up and throw down. Wonderful view of the bay on the patio. Waiter was fabulous. The shrimp appetizer he recommended (tnt shrimp) was just the right combo of sweet and heat. Not too hot but just enough to give it a little kick. The signs they have up around the place are great entertainment!!!! Hilarious! Love it. We went last year when we came down, came this year when we came down, and will definitely make a trip in future trips down!

They never reply to the questions on their website, why have one if your not going to reply? When you go to their concerts, very hard to get service, not enough workers to satisfy the need.

We walked in and got a table and had to waive someone down for service. Ordered drinks but the bartender lost her keys and couldn’t come to work, so our server was being bartender and our server. They gave us all the details we did not care about or want to hear.He had never bartended, so the drinks didn’t come until 25 minutes after we got there, and were not good. Poor guy.... he was trying!!!! Then we had a new server, who said she wasn’t busy and the other guy was swamped so she stepped in. She comped the drinks and got the food right which was cool. Given this was our last night and we had two babies with us were trying to get in and out.So she was helpful, but the whole place was a HOT MESS. Never saw a manager. 3 people got food poisoning in our party off the food! Had to fly to Oklahoma the next day throwing up from the bad seafood! The baby threw up in my car as I was driving them to the airport! DO NOT GO HEREWe SHOULD of gone to Marlins bar and grill!!!!!

Music was Phenomenal!! Food was phenomenal!! Upon sitting down our Waitress “Stacey” tells our whole table (8) that she is the only one on the deck?! Okay? She brought our drinks, pop was flat two times, okay no big deal, just Bring water. A gentleman brought out our food. He brought out our condiments. We never seen our Waitress until the bill. My cousin asked her why the pop was still on bill? And a chicken dinner was wrong. She AGAIN rolled her eyes & stated “ I’ve Been too Busy they don’t help me at all”? Okay AGAIN that’s not our problem! She brought The bill back and I told her she was unprofessional. She stood over my 4 year old cousin and yelled “ if you wanted a water you should of asked for another DAM server” I asked another Server to get the manager!! Manager was nice and apologized! Brook is our favorite server. Flash Flood was the local band playing 70s hits is great. Outdoor seating is nice. Finger food menu. I like the bbq brisket. Havent been inside yet. Looks very big. Pleasant and friendly staff. Have Local VIP club discount. Clean. Plenty of free parking. I will be coming here for football season.

The staff went over and beyond for my family. My son has a shellfish allergy and they made it possible for all of us to have a wonderful dinner together. Food was great the service superb!!

Weve been here a few times now. The first time was for a trivia contest they hold, using a local trivia host who hops around to different locations. So thats a lot of fun. And while there, weve tried a few things on their menu that are good.Nothing really stands out as being memorable, other than their chicken wings. They make their own sauce thats very unique. But doesnt reheat very well, to be honest.The drink prices are high. But thats due to the location. Their monthly rent there must be galactically high. Its hard to keep a location in Baytowne Wharf, unless its REALLY good. The turnover there is pretty decent. But these guys have been there for a while and do a good job for a divey type bar.VERY loud at night though.

The bar guy tossed my partners ID card. Then could not locate it, also could not locate his credit card. This caused for some severe obstruction and earn night, which they did not accommodate him and said told us that we needed to cancel our card.Even though it was their company’s fault that They tossed our card as we were trying to pay cover.

First time there and last time. Immediately upon walking in the bar smelled like feet. I first tried to order one of the signature 48oz drinks. Only to find out they were out of the cups. So I was given two pint glasses with the drink and then charged full price. If youre wondering a pint glass is 16 oz. Two is nowhere near 48oz. Shots were overpriced. Service was also extremely slow.

This place is a JOKE. We had reservations for 16 people. One of the girls in our group had been to Village Door before and mentioned the service was absolutely horrendous last time, but was willing to give it another shot. We should have taken her advice and stayed far, far away. It took forever and a day to get our drinks and order our food. When we asked for the check, the waiter (poor guy was new and obviously overwhelmed) came back 15 minutes AFTER we asked for our checks and said that we had to split them up ourselves. A little irritating but okay. Then, 15 minutes later, an entirely new waitress came up to our table and said Your server is sick throwing up and I dont know who got what so we have to split these checks again. First of all, we dont need the details of how sick he is. He just served our food. We didnt need a description. Second of all, we had literally JUST split up our checks FOR THE WAITER (mind you, he should have written this all down and it wouldnt have been a problem). So we asked to speak to the manager, thinking there was no possible way it could get worse. Well, then we met the manager. Incredibly rude and unapologetic. We had arrived at 8:30, and by this point it was close midnight and we were STILL there. We explained the situation and he didnt seem to care at all. After back and forth arguing, he threw our tickets on the ground and told us to just leave. You dont have to tell us twice, Chris! I will make sure to tell everyone I know on vacation to completely avoid this place. It ruined what we were hoping to be a fun night. COMPLETELY unacceptable.

The seating overlooking the harbor is cool. One of the waitresses was helpful, nice and even smiled. Cameron (waiter) and the bar tender acted like it was a bother for anyone to be there. You shouldnt have to ask for silverware, napkins and drinks in a restaurant. If you dont want to wait tables or bar tend, go push buggies at walmart or bang a hammer. Your attitude in a service job can affect whether or not people enjoy the experience. One other thing, dont add a 18% tip to the bill automatically, thats like stealing. Especially when you deserve way less. The food is average at best.

Worst food Ive ever had! My wife was served last weeks ribs and i was given yesterdays wings. On a good note the server was awesome. Maybe better in regular season, ill never try it

The live music was great. Service was topical bar level. we sat right by the water out side, which was very nice. The only thing that could had made it a great night was the food. It came up very short. Most expensive bad bar food Ive ever PAID for. Not sure I would came back. Too many other options.

Went on a Wednesday, was on the fence to try it because of the bad reviews. My husband got a drink, it was a little more expensive but we both thought it taste excellent. Food was great, we got bbq, there was a girl singing for a little while on the outside deck. She had a great voice to accompany our sunset view and great food. Also, the chicken tenders my daughter got were awesome.

Free drinks and no cover last night(12/10/16) I was in town for a Christmas party. Checked out the village door and I they didnt disappoint. DJ was on point and the bartenders were very cool! Dance floor worked for me and my moves lol

At grande opening we never saw the manager. It took forty minutes to get a boiled shrimp appetizer and there were only two tables seated when we arrived. We were number 2. Then it took fifty minutes to get our food . I asked for crackers and our waitress said she wasn’t sure they had any. I then asked for tarter sauce and she said she didn’t think they had any. The whole event was very disorganized and very understaffed. I live across the street and will never go back.

Very nice accommodating waitress. Food however was awful. Fried oysters terrible. Shrimp basket was like the frozen shrimp I could have gotten at the grocery store. Now we know why they had no wait time. Was so disappointed especially since it was way way way overpriced. $17 for my frozen shrimp and CHIPS! It makes me sick that we gave them over $250. 8 adults 4 kids. Go anywhere else!!!

DJ would get the club hoppin then switch the music up and kill the vibe. There also seemed to be some illegal narcotics selling going on. Not the fault of the establishment, there were bouncers everywhere. Noped out as soon as I saw what was going on.

Service is slow. Food is cold. Gave me nachos that clearly said queso was on it on the menu however they were brought out with no queso and when I mentioned it the server said she forgot they were out of queso. Only reason im giving this the minimum of 1 star is because they didnt charge the nachos to my bill. Besides that 10/10 recommend not coming until they decide to actually run a decent restaurant. Oh yeah and the water they gave me tasted like butt sweat.

Had to say it was overpriced. Wish Id known the drink was 14.00 would NOT have ordered. The seafood boil didnt cover the whole plate for 28.00 but I did like my server. And the Band that was practicing. Fell in love with Dinky on them drums!!!! So I give it a 3.

Where do I Start? Lol. The sign said seat yourself so we did then we were asked to go back outside and wait to be seated. We were finally seated after 15 min wait even though there was plenty of open tables( only 8people in the whole damn place). After we were seated we had to wait 10min before they took our drink order then he disappeared for 25 mins so everyone ran out of their drink. Id like to give a review on the food but they were out of ribs and brisket and the waiter got a attitude with me because he wasnt ready to take our appetizer order so we got up and left. Do yourself a favor and do not go here!

Pass this one by. We stopped for lunch and it cost us $62.00 before tip and all we had was a burger basket, chicken strip basket and 2 bloody marys with bar vodka. Of course no drink prices on menu but my fault for not asking. Bloody marys have been averaging $8.00 each theirs were $13.95 each served in a plastic cup. They did taste good but for $14 each they should have. When i questioned the waitress about the cost of the drinks she said they had 3 shots of vodka each and we would feel it when we stood up. BS. Food was average at best. They must count on tourists because if we were local we would never go back.

Way over priced... I dont mind paying good money for good food and drinks but this was a waste of money ... $20 for a fish sandwich (bun fish and lettuce) drinks $14 and had very little alcohol. Service was ok.

I would give them a negative star if I could. This was terrible. We payed a $30 cover for nothing. The music was from maybe the latest 2007. There was this random alarm that kept going off. And it was packed so tight but they kept letting people in. The drinks were overpriced. They did these random housekeeping times where everyone had to be off the stage causing 30 more people to try and cram into a small space. I wouldnt recommend going here to anyone other than a Girl Scout troop or a Middle School dance from 2005.

I have to concur with everything that was said here. The food was waaay overpriced and Ive had better shrimp at Captain Ds seiously. The waiter seemed unengaged. To make matter matters worse, they rushed us out of there before we could finish our fried pickles once they had our 150.00!!

Way way over priced... Manger said the $14 drinks were the same as two... except they are water/ iced downed and maybe one shot of booze.Not sure how this place stays in business as reflected by other reviews.Stay away!

Overpriced, OK at best food. Not worth it.
