Westchester Park has good playground equipment and swings for most ages of children, I would say 2-12. My kids also like to climb on the climbing structure/jungle gym. It seems to be some kind of reinforced rope material. It is harder to keep my toddler (not quite 1.5 years old) amused here, but there are are swings for babies and she likes to run around. There are benches here, some grassy shaded areas, a port-o-potty, covered picnic tables in an open pavilion, and a drinking fountain. There is a baseball field that we have never used on the west side of the park. Parking is accessible from the side street on the east in a small lot, or at the church parking lot across from the high school on Aurora Avenue. Parking is never a problem for me.My main complaint is that there is often more litter here than other parks we visit. I am guessing it is due to the high school across the street and the teenage visitors this park sometimes gets. When my children and I come, we try to pick up some of the major pieces of trash and throw them away in an effort to keep this park nice. It is my personal opinion that people feel worse about littering and are less likely to litter when there isnt a lot of trash already around. My kids ask to come to this park often. It is a short drive for us, and it is in a decent neighborhood (Meredith). The kids who are playing here usually seem pretty nice and well-behaved, and I really enjoy and appreciate that. I would probably give this park a a fifth star or if there was a splash pad or wading pool, and less litter.

A nice little niche park with plenty of play space for kids of any age. There is some obscene graffiti on the older kids play space though

A Great park to go to. Yeah there was some kids smoking pot, but the park is next to a high school, so to me thats expected, but on the other hand, no needles on the play ground, the park is clean and well maintained, its in a nice neighbor hood, the playgrounds are nice and fun for kids and are roomy enough for adults escorting their kids. I give it 5 stars, just note that Google maps wont take you to the parking lot so keep that in mind if you GPS the park.

Nice park. Very clean and taken care of. Some of the older kids there use quite a bit of foul language. Kids always have fun!

The park itself is great! Perfect size playground for little ones and one for the older kids. Downside- right across from Hoover so there were a bunch of high schoolers just hanging around. Didnt seem happy we showed up to play with our kids.

Nice equipment, my 6 year old had fun in both the big and little kid areas. We made the mistake of going after 3pm on a school day so there was a flood of teenagers cussing at each other and generally being aggressive and disrespectful (to each other, not to us). Maybe we’ll try again when school is out for the summer.

Nice park with 2 different play sets, one for older kids and a toddler one. Also has swings, picnic tables under an awning, a jungle gym for climbing, and a port o potty. Only down side is its right next to Hoover. If youre there during the school year you can expect high school students to be hanging out on the toys. They dont bother us, but it just makes me nervous. Theres also usually a fair amount of trash around the park.

Nice, clean, safe park for my little ones to play at while daddy shops at Merel hay. I really like the two separate sized play equipment. One is perfect for little guys 2+ yrs & the other is great for bigger kids 7+ yrs.
