The area was pretty nice, just the fact that the people out there look dangerous and 2 drivers were fighting a block away from if other than that is all good.

Stone park has many acres of grassland for soccer, football, kites, or just basking in the sun. Next to the playground is a wading pool for summers, and for winters, there is a steep hill the local kids use for snow sledding. The facilities are well kept and the playground is very new. Des Moines hosts various community programs here.

Did you know the history of Stone park, donated to the city by Mr. Stones grandfather, active in humane society, to provide drinking water for working horses, who were much abused in the late 19th and early 20th century.
