I have only visited this location for my physical therapy through Mid-America Orthopedics. The facility was very clean and the floor plan was open and easy to find what youre looking for. They use small signs hanging from the ceiling for temporary use spaces (like my therapy) so be on the lookout for those to find what youre needing.

Great insructors and the best work out ever. There is so much yo chose from. No woories you get a detailed description of everything available to you. Great staff...this is a must see if you are considering to get back in shape or maintain. Clean...no smells...fabulous equipment. If you are looking for a fun quiet enviroment with every advantage to get in shape or just maintain....look no further.

Was a very nice fs facility but the only down side to it is they provide a hand towel not a regular towel.

We really love the Derby Rec center,. Plenty of different options for working out as well as fitness classes and art programs. My daughter asks to go to the child care and the teachers are really nice. The only thing that is negative is that it can be really hard to find a parking spot at times.

Just went to use the pool for therapy and it was really nice.

This is a great place to exercise. Theres water activities there two. Theres a track to walk. No cost for the indoor walking.

This is my first time working out in over 25 yrs. My friend asked me to go with him. The people are respectful and the facility is clean! They have very good equipment! So far I am happy with the service!!

The staff is very helpful. There are classes for all ages.

They have a great facility for all your recreational needs. The fitness center has all kinds of machines and free weights. The running/walking track and multi use courts are very well maintained as well. Our kids love the different classes that they offer too.

I have been going here for many years. Overall I am pretty satisfied with this as a place to go exercise. However I do think they could do a better job in the maintenance of their equipment. Sometimes I feel like bringing my own tools in to fix some of their exercise equipment that they dont seem to care about.

This is a really good recreation center. Good equipment. Nice indoor track. Pool area is very nice.

Very nice facility. Theres something for everyone. And at a reasonable price. Come and take a tour for yourself.

I think even if we are kids we all pay for the same member ship we should be able to sit in the lobby and eat ours snack. And A stupid role that they have is 3:00 6:00. Kid can’t be in the lobby

Ever since I came to Derby North Middle School I feel like those employees hate us and we always have to “do homework” if I pay for the membership I should I have the rights to relax at the tables with my Derby North Middle School people. And my friend “Lacey Smith” got accused for not claiming her identity and they thought it was “Lesa.”

It has everything you need to reach a healthy lifestyle.

Beautiful, clean, and roomy rec center. Tons of family friendly sports and classes. The price is unbeatable for a family membership - even the Y cant compete with their old sliding scale formulas. Unfortunately, not a lot of daycare or supervised child care options if you have need - its small and very limited by age. The weekend hours are very short for the entire faciliy, which causes a lot of folks to go elsewhere.

Wasnt there for long. Usually they do keep the building cool but just walking around I got too warm. Not enough air movement for how warm I was. I also have a small issues with my thyroid (deals with homeostasis) but still. Im medicated for that there shouldnt be any issues because of that.But yes in a shirt and apathetic shorts just walking at a decently lazy rate, sweating.

Wish had more time off during the day to spend here. Worth the membership. Great pool.

Love the DRC! I have been a member for the past 15 years and the much-needed renovations a couple of years ago have made this a very appealing facility. My only complaint is the weekend hours. 8 to 12 on Saturday and 12 to 5 on Sunday is not good enough for busy/working adults. 8 to 8 on Saturday and 12 to 8 on Sunday would be better hours.

Its a great place to hang out after school but they treat the kids like little babies and we listen and show them respect why cant we get some?

Just went to the pool this time. I was pretty impressed. The lifeguards were very attentive and friendly. My daughter has been in one of their gymnastics classes and we had a very good experience with that as well.

Mixed feelings. The facility is very nice and most of the staff are nice some seem judgmental. The biggest complaint is the pool. Main reason I go. Theres too many activities in the pool at once. Everyday you go is a fight mam your going to have to move kids are coming to use this area ok. Mam your going to have to move we have swim lessons ok. The worst is when you are in the lanes because theres no where else to go and its mam you arent swimming fast enough to be in the lanes. Not okay I said where can I go?

Very helpful staff. Water aerobics is great exercise and alot of fun.

Its great, cheaper than most places, and if you know the right times for you, there could be few people or lots depending on how you like your gym experience. ^_^ and when you are done working out you can hit the pool lol

A solid gym with free weights, machines, cardio equipment. The place has large indoor pool, multiple basketball courts. Membership here is a must. If you live in Derby and dont take advantage of this place youre crazy.

I was enjoying swimming with some of my best friends when the lifeguard informed me that we would be kicked out if we continued our funny business. I guess having a friend help you learn how to float on your back isnt allowed in this pool.

Clean facility wonderful staff they offer day care

Me and my friends used to go to the drc to hang out, but ever sense I became a sixth grader the employees at the desk havent let me use the elevators, stay to eat chips at the vending machines, or use the track. The track says kids 10 and older can run the track, the elevator doesnt have restrictions, and if we couldnt eat at the vending machines why are there tables??? No matter how much respect we show the employees they say we are being disrespectful. I used to have fun at the DRC, you see all the reviews by adults but I am one of the only kids standing up to how un-equal they treat kids.Once we came to the DRC and the vending machine was broke and they blamed us.They treat kids like pests. How could that be us if we just got there? Teach your employees respect instead of making kids cry.

Excellent facilities rivaling much larger private gyms. Variety of activities for all ages, and great staff.

Weight room is nice. Wi-Fi sucks at best!!!! I can walk 9 holes of golf, anywhere in Kansas, and get access to internet and listen to music. Not in that black hole. Was told today to connect while in lobby, it might work better. Um? nope! Works fine once you leave the building. Couldnt even walk a mile on the treadmill before iheart music started tripping over itself like st,st,st,stu,stud studderin Stanley. So frustrating.

Need better hours. I wish Derby would get a YMCA!

I love the DRC so many different classes offered, and inexpensive for how nice it is!

Ive gone to the DRC for the last 4 years.. The price of membership is pretty reasonable even more so if you have a family or get a reduced price based on income. I mostly use the gym which I find very well laid out and plenty of cardio machines as well as free weights for those weight lighters. The locker rooms are very clean and attach to the indoor pool which is big enough for lap swimming to classes to a shallow end for kids to play. The also have three basketball courts..2 racketball courts.. spin room.. And several class rooms.. Whatever activity you want to do Im sure they have it. Also the attached kids club is nice and only costs $20/month for unlimited kids 2 hrs a day.. The staff of the entire DRC are very friendly and will help you with anything you need help with

Had a large amount of free weight and machines to use. Showed up about 4 on a Thursday and it didnt get to crowded the entire time I was there.
