Great all around gun store. The staff is informative and polite. Most importantly, this gun shop has one of the best pistol selection in the metro area! Ryan will try to order you anything not in stock if its available. I have transferred pistols here from out of state as well, with a background of course. If you go elsewhere, you might end up at bighorn anyway, I did.

Im very glad to have found this shop. Im new to owning my own firearm, and the staff was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. During a time when firearms and ammunition are in short supply, it is easy for other retailers to take advantage of the situation and raise prices, but Bighorn assured me they keep their prices fixed no matter the situation. Dagan helped my wife and I (both first time buyers) understand the process of the background check, the types of pistols we were looking at and the benefits of each, as well as any potential cons of each. We ultimately wound up with a wonderful pistol that they had on our visit, and we went through the paperwork. It was a lot less painful than imagined, and the staff was very helpful in understanding the process. Returning the next day to pick up the firearm was a breeze. Ryan was helpful to get the paperwork finalized before handing over our new pistol. We will be back for more purchases in the future, as this is a top-notch store, with great employees aimed at education and inclusion.

First thing I would like to say is that this shop is very respectful and patient. Not a lot of shops, very few actually, are respectful and patient in the Denver Greater Area, and most importantly they do not over charge on guns. As amateur gun enthusiast I have questions that research or google cannot answer, Big Horn always guides me in the right direction. Everyone there loves what they do and it shows through their great customer service. I was picky about the Marlin Lever I wanted in 45-70 and they brought it in for me. Nothing but positive things to be said about the owner and the crew that works there. This is the only shop I go to in Denver and highly recommend it. If I move away from Denver I still would drive hours to do business with these folks

He made my first time firearms purchasing experience very pleasant. I have since recommended these guys to a few of my friends and theyve all had good experiences. I’ve been doing business with Ryan and Gordon since I moved to Colorado 5 years ago. They have been the best firearms related resource I’ve encountered in Colorado and that’s why I keep coming back.While you certainly can find your run of the mill Glocks and AR15s here, they are one of the few shops around that actually stock a respectable collection of WW2 and military surplus firearms. Their used gun counter always has something really unique. Their prices are super fair. These guys are humble and knowledgeable and aren’t pushy to deal with. You can tell they are just passionate about firearms and take pride in what they do. They have always gone the extra mile to make sure I was happy with my purchases.

After thorough research and vetting to find the “best gun store in Colorado,” I found Bighorn Firearms. I liked their story and I always support small businesses before chains. I live in Boulder, so driving an hour to this store has to stand for something. It was hard to find at first as it is a suite in an office building, but once I got there the people there were super friendly, inviting, and nice. Unfortunately, I didn’t exactly have the proper identification that has my current address. Instead of driving an hour back to Boulder, the guy gave me advice on how to make a simple fix to the situation and through a very quick, easy, and painless process, I went through the necessary paperwork and got my very first firearm! He did not upsell me on anything I didn’t need. If this is your first time buying a firearm, don’t feel intimidated or nervous at all because they make you feel very comfortable and welcomed and they know everyone was a beginner at some point. They even have recommendations on where to go for training and classes. Definitely worth the hour drive from Boulder!

Most importantly: the respect they show my significant other is unmatched anywhere. Unlike most places, they treat women with the same respect they would any other customer. Top notch service every time I go in! They listen to your needs/wants and recommend several options. Ive been incredibly happy with every purchase and am always impressed by their customer service. If you have to order an item that is not in stock, they keep you well informed and up to date on the status. I even received a call once when they were closed to keep me in the loop. They also beat the big box prices (or price match) for those of us that are always hunting for a deal!

Their main market seems to be handguns and assault rifles (like everyone); but dont hesitate if youre like me and still like guns with wood, they have some nice shotguns and rifles move through their store and they know their stuff. Bighorn Firearms listed a classic revolver Id been looking for (and been unable to find locally) online, with several high-resolution photos to show its condition. It was a consignment piece, so they couldnt negotiate, but it was already at a good price. They were courteous and professional over the phone and in emails, and the gun arrived to my local FFL well-packed and in as-expected condition. I wouldnt hesitate to buy from them again.

Buying a gun should be fun. It should be something youre proud to do, and the experience should be low stress and educational. Ryan and his team are a fantastic group of guys that deliver on that experience. The shop is clean, well organized, and with a good selection of inventory. You wont feel pressured, and the prices are spot on. Dont buy a gun from a big box store like Cabelas, or worse yet a sporting goods store with questionable 2nd ammendment rights support. Go give Bighorn a shot and you wont be dissapointed.

Great experience working with this shop. Ryan is one of the owners/operators at the location and promptly responded to my inquiry less than an hour later on a Sunday. Came into the shop on a lunch break and in about 20 minutes was outta their with the exact gun that was discussed and for the price listed. Nothing but quality on the shelves and in the cases.

BEST gun store in&around the Denver area. Ryan is a down-to-earth owner is honest and has none of the traditional big store bravado. Most importantly for me, he has by far the BEST FFL transfer fees around. Ryan charges the standard Denver Area rate for the first gun $40, but then, unlike every other store around, if you transfer more than one gun at a time, he halves the fee $20, for no matter how many others you transfer during that time.By far the best gun store for miles. If I ever PCS back to the area Ryan will be my go-to firearms dealer!

I promised myself I would write this review a long time ago and never got around to it. However the Bighorn sticker I put on my car reminded me today. I purchased my first rifle through Bighorn Firearms and am very glad I did. I was treated kindly with respect, and felt included in the purchase of my firearm rather than told what to buy. I was given a great selection and was able to discuss my questions or any concerns openly with the owner. He gave me a very fair price and helped me pick the correct rifle for me. He even took the gun apart and showed me the best way to clean that specific model. This business is quick, helpful, fair, and really involves you in the important purchase of your firearms.

I purchased my first handgun after recently shooting a gun for the first time. Naturally I was a little inexperienced with the whole procedure but the owner, Ryan was very helpful and gave me great advice about firearms and the laws surrounding them. A very genuine guy, he didnt try to persuade me into buying a more expensive gun or try to push me out the door quickly after making my purchase. Once I start hunting big game I will absolutely be back to make another purchase!

Wanted to purchase used gun from them and their price was at new for a used gun. These guys think Obama is still in office and have unrealistic prices for used stuff. Reminds me of a pawn shop. Thats why buds guns online will be getting my business. So changing my rating because Gordon called me back concerned with their rating. He was friendly and couldnt adjust the price because it was a consignment gun. I wanted to buy locally but I guess it just wasnt in the cards. It was good that he cared and I respect that.

Walking into Bighorn, I was surprised. This is certainly not your average gun shop. Its not big and its not covered wall to wall with firearms, but it doesnt need to be. Here is where the owner shines. As an out-of-state purchaser I was nervous my buisness would be turned away. My initial concerns were immediately put down by the owner of this fine establishment. I found it amazing how quickly I felt like I was talking to an old friend rather than a salesman. If youre looking to get EXACTLY what you want from your firearm purchase, Bighorn is the place to go. I will absolutely be returning.
