Worst place ever to have a birthday party. So we get there and their staff said that the last room was ours and we can go ahead and get set up to only find out 30 mins later that we need to move all of our stuff decorations everything because we weren’t supposed to be in there at that time but they put us in a temporary room to store all our stuff and to wait 2 hours to put our stuff back into the room that we were in the first place totally unprofessional! They could of used the temporary room for someone else. & they did NOTHING to help even though it was their staffs fault!! & there website says they give the birthday kid a shoutout and have limbo and did neither! Worst $160 I ever spent on a birthday party! & on top of that we told them we had 35 people and only gave us 10 chairs like what is that going to do! Don’t book your party here.

Great facility for competitive hockey! The rebirth has been great for Denton, and the owners are putting more and more into improving the rink, the building, and the hockey. Great job Joe!

Ive only been in this building for the consignment sales. The whole rink is set up with clothing racks and tables covered in baby/kid clothing, toys and shoes. They typically run it for a weekend or so. The floor is funny here and my kid loves clomping across it, seeing how much noise she can make.I cant say anything about the rinks actual purpose, though.

My daughter had her birthday here. I booked the 2:30-3:30 spot. My daughter had a great time with her friends. But they didn’t make any birthday announcements or do anything fun with the kids during the time of the parties. I was very unimpressed with the size of the party rooms and the allotted time allowed. For $100 the room barely fit 10 people and we were so cramped up. Not only that but we had to cram in pizza, cake and presents in one hour and it left us no time at all to skate since they closed at 4:00. Because you technically only have 45 mins of party room time because you have to allow them time to clean up.Not only that but they were not monitoring who was signing in on the sign in sheets. It is supposed to be for kids only and they were letting parents sign in. Then at the end I was surprised and asked to pay for extra skaters. Even though the lady was very kind and understanding and gave me a discount I felt like it should’ve at least been monitored better. Overall my daughter had a good time and that’s all the matters.

Love this place! Awesome staff, great prices, clean restrooms, good music, and plenty of seating for spectators. Cant say enough good things about this facility. My kids love this rink and the cool stuff they offer. Its the only place we go when we want to do some skating.

I got a call 15 minutes before my party that guests had started arriving and they didnt have a reservation for me. I paid a deposit a few weeks ago when I reserved in person and was told that someone would call to verify the details. When I didnt get that call I tried to get in contact with them for a few days until I finally got an answer. She said she had all the information and that we were good. Today Felicia told me that she had no memory of that. They still gave us a room and we still had our party but the lack of organization and communication is concerning. I was pretty freaked out and forgot my daughters birthday candles since I got the call as I was walking out the door. I guess they prefer you to book online, I didnt know that was an option and I just went in person.

Great youth Roller hockey program the coaches are so wonderful with the children my son had the best time!

We love this sports center! Two of our kids have played in the youth inline hockey league year-round for a few years with Lone Star. They have the sports-appropriate flooring for the safety of the hockey players and roller derby bouts. They care to make sure kids are wearing the correct safety gear for hockey, even if it means loaning them supplies. The kids also had birthday skate parties at the facility and enjoy the skate nights, with dimmed lights (so the teens arent extra self conscience) and popular music playing. The staff is super accommodating. The owner is great about communication, frequently updating the calendar on the rinks website, to keep customers in the loop for additionally available skate opportunities. And they respond quickly whenever I shoot them questions. Cant recommend enough!

Lone Star is a STAPLE of Denton. They have so many cool events there, including birthday parties and band nights. The owners and staff are amazing and really care about their customers having a great experience. They have several hockey leagues and it’s a ton of fun to watch. My boyfriend plans in the league and has for several years. Great exercise and a great community there. Love this place!

We booked our child’s birthday party for a Friday evening, per the website, the cost of the party included a 4-hour window for “public skating” , a free T-shirt, and an hour in a “party room” and the times listed were 6-9pm (three hours) we didn’t mind the discrepancy as 3 hours was enough.When we arrived the staff didn’t even know anything about the party having been booked. So they slopped something together. They seemed apathetic to the whole situation.It came as a complete surprise to us when they announced they were closing at 8pm. When asked they said “it’s been that way a couple of years”.This gave us barely 2 hours after they got the room prepared. Not to mention we didn’t have parents there as they planned for 9pm.We called the owner who did not answer and then emailed her to which she responded with “the hours change and it’s on the calendar” which contradicted her employees who stated it was always at 8 and the website that says 9pm all over it.The website is patently deceptive. The owner and her employees were inconsistent with their stories concerning the discrepancies between the time they closed and the website.I booked expecting 3 hours and didn’t even get 2 hour when the employees didn’t know we had a party. I was offered a coupon to come back. We were never even offered a T-shirt. My child and all her friends were completely disappointed.A coupon does not even come close to remedying this situation. I feel deceived as well a taken advantage of- I paid the price they advertised but did not receive the service that was offered all over the website.If I could give this a negative star rating I would. This place is an “avoid”.

While this place isnt the best looking on the outside or the inside, it has a lot of character. It also almost reminds you of old times (or what they maybe were like.) Was here for a Wedding Reception and the staff was extremely friendly, and being able to skate is certainly a plus.A weird, side plus - not sure if its intentional or if the walls and ceiling are really thick - but nobody, not anyone with ATT, Verizon, etc. had usable cell service. So, people are sort of forced to actually interact and be decent human beings to each other! (What a concept, right?)

Ive been trying to get a hold of someone for a few days but no one answers the phone number. Their websites no help either. I have been inside the facility for events and its large. I would like to know how much it costs per person.

Lone Star Indoor Sports Center is a terrific place for your party or event without breaking the bank. Give them a call. Plenty of other events happening here as well. Great hockey league competition for all ages and skill levels.

I support them because Ive seen how honest and fair they are in the community. The Venue is accommodating for many types of visitors with large open spaces and an inviting atmosphere.

I play roller derby for NTRD and our league uses this rink as our main practice facility. This rink is always kept clean by the staff and the staff is always kind, easy to work with and provides great customer service. As a derby player, there are many leagues like us that have to practice in warehouses without AC. Lonestar provides AC and heating, seating for guest, scoreboard, bathroom facilities, and even walls around the rink to protect spectators that do not want to sit rinkside.Lonestar is home to my roller derby league (North Texas Roller Derby), as well as Fallout, a junior derby league, and several hockey teams. They offer public skate, birthday party packages, flexible hours, and they house their own Skate Shop, Resurrection Skate, in house!The flooring is made up of sportcourt, which is a bit different than the old school wood floors. The sportcourt is great for a softer landing, especially for the aggressive style sport teams.I am very grateful we have Lonestar to call our home, and grateful for the owners flexibility and passion for the team sports. The owners are great people, kind, respectful, and understanding passionate people!

Tried this rink for the second time. It was impossible for me to skate on this type of plastic floor. The rental skates made it even harder. Very heavy, slow skates. The kids seemed to have an easier time than the adults. Ill stick with Interskate in Lewisville which has a traditional wooden floor.

Dingy, unclean restroom, broken arcade machines, AC barely works so it was easily 80+ inside. Maybe 1/4 of the lights inside work so half the building is unlit.Very hard to find, staff was very rude.

Hot inside. Floor was dirty. Bathroom was dirty.
