Nice little park hidden from the main streets. This park has a bit of wear and tear but other wise fun and safe park.

This park was absolutely perfect for our two year old. There was plenty of room for him to move around and we had plenty of room for us to follow him around. The ground is rubbery but it’s like...a rubber mulch. Just when I thought my son was going to mess up god shows, the stuff the ground is made out of save us! We are definitely interested in the bike and walking trails but it was kind of late when we arrive and they were doing construction on the walking trail (01/01/2020). However, that will not stop us from coming back.

Thornbys a Great local park for kids of all ages and has a nice new trail meandering around its historic grounds; if you look around, theres some really nice old growth fauna here and youll see the old rail bed. Its also a great place to park if youre doing the spring to spring trail; its sort of centrally located nearer Green Springs. The area has a lot of forgotten history and it might be fun for some looking into it.Sports one of the better handicapped accessible play areas, thats what most people will see here; but without cover, this ones best early or late or under cloud cover. You dont want to be under that hot Florida sun, its too damn hot.Very thankful this park opened up when my little one was coming up, she Loved it. Here and Gemini.

We like this park because its never crowded and offers some shade. But the bathrooms are DISGUSTING. I pulled down the baby changing station just to see (I would never change my kids on it) and there was a large intact wasp nest.

Cute playground with a nice trail to get out into nature. There is not a lot of shade here on the play equipment. Full sun and plastic slides dont mix well. Lots of things to climb. It looks like there used to be sand tables but Ive never actually seen sand in them. Bring your bug spray if youre going to walk the trail!

Great playground. Very clean. I do wish there was some kind of fence to separate the playground from the parking lot though. My 2.5 year old is very fast and I had to chase him to stop him from running into the lot.Outside of the lack of fence it is a great park.

Amazing park, my daughter loves to have play dates here when we are in town! Thank you to those in the plaque who donated the gazebo that provides shade for when it gets so hot outside, bless you all for the work youve done with the park and in that area. We also really enjoy the wildlife and trails!

This place is close to me, as well as the local dollar tree/Publix plaza (a walk away) and the playground is the Largest with many slides and large variety of play options and obstacles that Ive seen in a public park. Love it. Theres a lovely all-nature trail (which youd want to avoid during rainy season when mosquitoes are mass-producing) which starts at the park entrance and ends at the back of the park. Theres a beautiful giant tree that I love in there, plus plenty of other really old trees to admire. The trail has a number of benches for you to rest or sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Have restroom facilities, Three pokestops (if you play), and a kids playground(which is why gave three stars). Beware the black rubber children swings. I paid attention and felt them before putting child in, but there is no shade cover over these swings and they get uncomfortably hot! Feel sorry for any toddler put in them on a sunny day. Use caution

Review №63

In fall and winter, this is one of the most comprehensively enjoyable parks in West Volusia County. Between the huge playground, shaded gazebo, and hiking trail, my elementary aged kids can enjoy a full day of play here. There is a Publix shopping center within walking distance that has plenty of options if you stay into lunchtime, or you can enjoy a picnic under the well-maintained gazebo benches. The hiking trail has some small swamps and a cleared trail to enjoy some of the lakeside habitats of inland Floridas flora and fauna. Be aware that in the spring/summer, the parks proximity to Lake Monroe mean the bugs can come on a little strong.

Excellent park for smaller children as well as older. The wheel chair accessable play ground is the perfect height between low enough a pregnant mother chasing her toddler can keep up and high enough to be exciting for the kiddos. We plan on coming back again and again. Thanks for a wonderfully planned park, Deltona.
