Great place for recitals, theatrical events. Unfortunately it was too hot.

Great place to find top notch entertainment in Del Río, TX. The Paul Poag Theater management does a great job of consistently getting a variety of shows, from live music, theatrical plays, comedian acts, etc. You can’t go wrong with attending a show at the Paul Poag Theater!

Sound system is in desperate need of upgrade. Been to 2 different shows where it was almost unbearable. Like an out of tune stereo with bad speakers. Shame.

Beautiful building and great fun. Great venue for music.

I understand that the theater has been around for decades. But it needs maintenance to be performed in a hurry before it is condemned. The awning under the marquee is separating, looks like sections are fixing to fall. The ceiling inside the theater has holes. Not small holes, but a couple places that are about 3 foot by 3 foot sections of cieling that look like they have fallen and no repair has taken place. The a/c needs revamping or maintenance because when the theater is in use it gets HOT!!! inside. The backstage area needs some sort of air flowing thru it as well. It gets so hot back there, went to a recital and the kids back there were drenched in sweat just waiting around for their time to perform. The a/c is a modern convenience, I totally understand that. But the sections of cieling that appear as though they could expand and start falling on the audience below are totally a hazard in need of urgent attention. If its a finance issue there are benefits that could be held to perform the needed maintenance/upgrades. Lets not let this theater basically rot before our eyes.

Small theatre but the audience and the cast really made the experience so much better. Very well done for a community theatre!

The AC needed to be lowered it was too HOT in the theater. Ruined the atmosphere of the show.
