Went here back in July, and I was so happy to have found this place. The person working the counter was kind and helpful. It seems to be a safe environment for all, too. They dont have a lot of space so their inventory is a little limited, but that didnt keep my friend and I from finding what we wanted & if it werent for this store there probably wouldnt be anything in the area at all lol !

I was a tad nervous when I first walked in, but the attendant at the shop was very kind and helpful. Made my purchase seamless and comfortable. I ended up having to come back due to the toy not being right for me, and there was a different attendant that was also very professional in helping me get what I need. Over all excellent employees and great products!

Good evening,This evening (11/03) I attempted to make a quick purchase at the Dekalb, IL, Lovers Playground location (157 East Lincoln Highway DeKalb, Illinois 60115). I arrived at the store at 9:53 pm this evening (11/03). I realized the store was going to close soon so I knew exactly what I needed to purchase so I did not have to keep the employee working with a customer past closing time. Upon reaching the door I attempted to enter the building and I was not able to enter because the door had already been locked. I could see the temporary hours posted on the door (open until 10:00 pm) and I checked my phone to confirm I arrived before closing time.After I discovered that the door was locked, I called the store at 9:54 pm and 9:55pm to ask any employee working to please let me in to make my purchase. However, each time I called I heard someone pick up the phone and then hang the phone up. I then gave up on making my purchase and returned to my car to go back home.While I normally do not write any type of complaint emails, I feel as though this behavior was particularly egregious because I could see that the lights were still on in the building and the employee(s?) purposefully prevented me from entering the building to presumably close up the store early. I normally prefer to shop locally to support a local employer, but after this incident I will avoid this location and make my purchases from other online retailers. I write this email only to inform the leadership of the behavior that I experienced at this location tonight.Thank you.Edit:I want to add a quick comment that I have made many purchases here in the past and each occasion was friendly and professional. This is the first time that I have experienced this behavior. I would not have made the trip out to this location if I knew the store was going to close early.

Customer Service is the BEST. The Cashier knows the products and is extremely helpful. I brought a “man” friend in with me, he had never been there before. The Cashier made him feel comfortable, that was important to both of us. He has returned, on his own.

Very very helpful, nice employee. Don’t know her name but it was the woman with piercings and I think auburn hair. She really gave me a lot of good info and helped me pick out something awesome. Will shop again.

My wife and I were looking to spice things up, and our local Lovers Playground did not disappoint. As the ONLY option for the City of DeKalb, I am pleased to give my recommendation.

My husband and I stopped I yesterday and was greeted by a very pleasant woman, she asked if we needed help, we said no at first, then decided we needed help, she answered all my questions and also told me about other products that would be great I took her up on her advise,i am very happy with my purchases and so pleased with Dannys help, I hope my next visit I will be greeted by her

I am super shy when it comes to visiting adult stores, especially with my wife ;) Danielle made me feel extremely comfortable! She gave my wife and I great customer service. Great store, and good selection! We will definitely be coming back.

I have walked into this location twice in the past two months, each time we were greeted by the same lady. The first time, she was so extremely rude. I had left my drivers licence with my husband who was walking in from down the street. He was at the gaming goat, she made me leave until I had it in my hand. I told her I was in fact a lot older than 18. And that didnt matter to her. I was with two friends! One of which calls us her daughter. She has kids my age. But that didnt matter she made me leave till I had it in hand. ( If thats the rule, fine. I get that you have to abide by the rules of the store.) My friends and I left the store. When we returned with it not even a minute later, she had the door locked and went on her break...We made sure to go back after her break. The the entire time she looked at her phone, and watched us. Didnt ask us if we needed help or anything. I had friends looking at toys and she didnt even ask if they needed help. Like I said, she sat on her phone watched us and glared at us.Yesterday, we went back in with my same two friends. I made sure we had our IDs out and in her hand when we walked into the store. She asked if we needed anything and we did tell her no. But as our time went on, she stared at her phone and just was very uninviting. We were the only people in the store, we were not being rude or anything. Just talking like friends talk. I went to show my friend a hairband they had in there, and the lady behind the counter yelled at me and told me I was going to break it. Im sorry, I wasnt even close to breaking it. I was being respectful. And even if I did break it, I would of bought it. I know whats expected in a store. And I was appalled. I put my purchase down and refused to buy anything. I waited till my friends were done shopping and we left.I get that people have bad day, I used to work retail. But her behavior was extremely unacceptable, on both encounters. And for this, I will never be going back into your store again. The way she treated us is a way I would never treat a person LET ALONE A CUSTOMER IN A STORE.

My husband and I would really like to thank the manager Danielle. We were very iffy on trying some new things. She was GREAT at answering questions, knowledgeable of products, very easy to talk to, and made it a very enjoyable experience. We will be back.

The service lady lied about the products and the meds for male supplements didnt work and tried to go in to see if other stuff may have been to use and the hours say open and the door is closed and called and no answe
