These folks are very organized! The class includes fingerprintstyle application which speeds the process with the state. Classrooms laid out with social distancing, everyone at their own table far apart, as safe as it can be. It will loan you the guns if necessary for the range.I am an NRA instructor; Im going to recommend these guys.

(Course Taken June 21, 2020)I found the 8 Hour Concealed Carry course to be properly paced and very informative. The staff members were all helpful, accommodating, and willing to go the extra step to help students. Given the opportunity, Id gladly take another course with Concealed Carry of Illinois.

Brian covered a tremendous amount of information providing a lot of detail and thorough explanation of each topic. I highly recommend his training course.

Brian did an excellent job instructing the class. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient and thorough. The primary focus during the entire course was safety. I would highly recommend Brian‘s course for both beginners and experienced gun owners. Even if you do not intend to carry, the knowledge gained from this course is invaluable. I definitely plan to utilize Brian‘s renewal course in five years.

This instructor is the best I could have chosen. It had been quite a while since my last firing exercise. The teacher made the experience both informative and stress-free. The class was quite engaging, and the student count wasn’t overwhelming. I learned a great deal more information than expected for an IL CCW course. The instructor didn’t engulf the students with a useless curriculum and gave time to absorb the material. They were enough breaks to give you time for reflection and to think about what was said during the lessons. For lunch (split checks) we to a great location and discussed the material. The instructor took the time to obtain the thoughts and expressions of students. He also took plenty of time to answer questions and belay any misconceptions. For the last portion of the class, he takes the students to the range and he completely conveys what to be expected from the firing test. During the test I myself was quite nervous. He did me a tremendous service by helping me to relax and get set. He made sure to calmly & constructively explain what was needed in order to hit the target. My first 3 shots were off due to my nervousness. However, thanks to the expert tutelage of the instructor, each subsequent shot was on target and my grouping became tighter. The class also provided you with access to the necessary vendors to complete your application i.e. fingerprinting service (paid for by student). I can’t recommend this course enough to everyone I know. If you’re considering the concealed carry license, you couldn’t find a better teacher.

Brian was an all around great guy! Took the class with my father and a few other people. Call size is perfect (8 of us) Brian made sure everyone understands the importance and responsibilities of carrying a weapon. Very easy going and informative. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends or family. 2 day class. On the second Brian had someone come in to do the finger printing and application process on the spot. After, go to the shooting range, prove your aim and one your way. Thanks !

I would like to say that both my wife and I had great experiences with this class and we vary greatly in our experience levels. My wife has very little experience with a hand gun and I am a veteran with specialized training. What this means to you is no matter where you fall in the continuum of experience there is something for you here to learn and enjoy the process while you are at it. I just finished my 16 hour class and thought it was very informative and educational. It was absolutely worth the money! I am 32 year old female with no gun experience and the class was not intimidating and instructor Brian is definitely passionate about what he does and making sure everyone is comfortable with laws/rules/firearms. I definitely feel more secure and confident handling a firearm. I would highly recommend taking the Concealed Carry courses here!

The instructor, Brian, is an amazing teacher. Coming from a military background, I knew a little more about firearms than average people. Brian was able to teach to the students who had barely held a gun in their hands and fit in side conversations with the more outgoing enthusiasts. Very professional and very fun. Brian is an excellent instructor. The 16-hour class was detailed in thecorrect handling and use of firearms. Class material was well organized and instructional for all aspects of gun safety and laws covering the proper use of firearms. The range qualification portion of the class was professional and gave me confidence in the handling of a firearm. I would highly recommend Brian and his Concealed Carry courses.

Took this class on 8/29 and 30th with Brian as a instructor. The class was great especially for me ,as i was very new to handling and firing a weapon. Brian went through everything with the class, and explained the lesson so well. I recommend this class to everyone out their. My wife, best friend, and I took the class together and we found it to be very beneficial. The instructor, Brian, was very knowledgeable about the laws but was also very practical in his instruction. He changed the grip I have been using for more than 25 years, which radically improved the accuracy and control that I have over my pistol. I was very impressed how safety was always the first priority, and the time at the range to qualify wasnt just a final exam, as Brian continued to give personal attention to every shooter to ensure proper mechanics and safety. There was also someone at the class to help process the application and complete electronic fingerprinting for a nominal fee, greatly increasing the simplicity. For busy professionals in the North Shore, this is definitely the class to take!I cant imagine a better course. - Well Done!

Brians course costs more than others, but you get what you pay for. Brian was very knowledgable, very professional, and a pleasure to work with. The class size was small and the location was very nice and convenient. The permitting/ finger printing process was extremely fast and convenient as well, which I think a lot of people will appreciate. If youre someone like me who had never even fired a gun before I would definitely recommend CCOI.

Class was fantastic, but thorough, like actual school. Our instructor one day was a former police trainer, so both the how-to portion and the legal training parts were packed with real-world scenarios. I learned so much, and got the perspective SO critical these days if you are planning to protect yourself and your family. This class should be mandatory for anyone even considering taking their personal protection seriously.

Brian is a great instructor,as he knows what he is talking about presents it in a clear manner and puts everyone at ease.I like the fact that every thing is done in class so we don;t have to go around to get fingerprinted etc.If anyone is interested in getting a CCW permit this is the course to take.I want to thank him again!

This company supports the gun ban in Deerfield, Illinois. Talked to a man named Brian and he said it was no big deal. Don’t do business here. The men that are pictured on the currency in your wallet, risked their lives to give you those rights. Shameful attitude coming from a firearms instructor!

I attended this class on 8-23-2015 I found Brian to be a highly competent instructor. He began the class by listing his credentials, establishing his qualifications based on training and experience. He paused after every portion to ask if there where any questions on the info that had just been covered before moving on to the next point. He effectively answered all questions in a manner that did not make any of the participants feel dumb for asking the question. All of the information was presented in a clear, concise, easy to understand manner and he used examples from his own experience along with clear demonstrations whenever possible. Once we arrived at the shooting range for the practical evaluation portion of the class, he worked with each student individually to insure that they had a complete understanding of the principles involved in the safe and effective handling of a weapon before asking them if they were ready to be evaluated. There was no rush to just push em through and get it over with but rather a sincere dedication to teaching how to do it correctly. All of his advice was tailored to the individual based on their own body structure, natural stance, and level of demonstrated skill. My unbiased assessment of this class is that is geared toward the first time shooter and the development of strong basic safety skills which are critical to the individual shooter becoming proficient in the use of firearms. He also gave clear information regarding the concealed carry application process so that no one had any doubt as to how to get it done. Just in case you are thinking that these folks made this whole thing up just to promote themselves.Would like thank everyone involved in helping me complete my CC training. Everyone was very pleasant and professional. Paul made the class room class very interesting and added humor where possible without taking away from the extreme importance in the class. He kept the classes interesting for the whole time. Thats a tough job. By the end of the classes we had a whole new understanding to the importance of being license to carry a gun. At the range the training was just the best. Always stressing the importance being safe, do it right and be ready to protect yourself and your family. I am very please this place over the other classes and it was an honor to have such an experienced and specialized instructor as Brain and Paul. Thank you very much.

Not everyone who teaches can.When an instructor creates an atmosphere that allows their students to be openedand relaxed enough to learn; the more effort theyll put into doing so. I could not havepicked a better path toward obtaining my license than with Concealed Carry Illinois.What a journey it has been.Despite his extensive experience, there was no display of ego or arrogant behavior atall by Brian. He truly respected the level of experiences brought into the class by thestudents, though you may not have had any at all as with myself. Theres a greatdeal of important information to learn in the classroom before even getting to therange and you can rest assure that it will all be taught in a most friendly andprofessional manner.Thank You!
