We are “owners” at this timeshare for 30 years now. All I can say is, things have changed, and not for the better. We own Unit C-2 for a week. Upon inspecting today, the very, very old sliding glass door could not be locked! Second floor? That is a MAJOR security concern. Barbara said she would send maintenance up. I plan on attending the next board meeting, and also following up with a letter to the board due to the detrimental changes that have occurred since we were last there many, many years ago with our children. We pay maintenance fees every year before the due date, and very rarely take advantage of this unit, due to its condition. I’d rather pay higher maintenance fees and know that The Avalon Resort is being maintained properly. I TRULY believe this resort is being grossly mismanaged! We also own a two bedroom during platinum week at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club for the past twenty years. At least we use that timeshare! Management is EVERYTHING!

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.it seemed like they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied and my needs were met. You cannot beat the location. If youre looking to step away from the hustle and bustle of life this is the perfect place to unwind relax. Only 50 yards from the beach. it comes fully furnished so just bring your toothbrush . Barbara and Tonya were very helpful with their suggestions and descriptions of the local attractions to visit. If staying for a week or a month, the Avalon can cover all your wants and needs. Very reasonable rates.weekly /monthly.Tell them tony sent ya. $$

Unfortunately only 1 staff Member Tonya is awesome. Asked for a plug for sink to wash dishes and told by the other staff member Barbara if there isnt 1 in the unit then I dont have one. Among other careless comments. Units ok. Location amazing.

Our vacation at a resort in Daytona Beach was cancelled due to repairs after Hurricane Matthew. The only place RCI could find for us was in Deerfield Beach. Our flight to Orlando and a rental car were still in place. So off to Deerfield we go!From the moment we met Barb in the office at the Avalon, we knew that this was the place to stay. Barb is quick witted and has an eye for people. She showed us to our room on the second floor. From the time that we walked in, we could tell this place was cared for by people who want you to come back.We enjoyed a suite with full kitchen, full bath, living room/bedroom, and a balcony where we could enjoy a beverage and look out at a bit of ocean. The furnishings have been lovingly cared for over the years, and recent paint and carpets, a flat screen tv, and a good breeze off the ocean were all that we needed. We started our days with a swim in the pool. We spent our days on the beach, with our $2 chairs and umbrella from Barb (best bargain on the beach). We toured Deerfield Beach (we walked there on the beach), and took in some of the amenities (Pops Fish Shop - for the best fish and The Whales Rib - for great seafood). We also visited Morikami Japanese Gardens and relished the calm and peace of the grounds. A visit to Palm Beach for some local craft beer and shopping made for a well rounded trip from this central location. We hope to vist again to Avalon soon.

The pool was very clean and nice. Our room faced the pool, extremely convenient. The beach was just across the street.

This resort is nothing short of a motel on the beach. I wouldnt even consider it a resort! I arrived there on a Saturday night so I wasnt able to check I until Monday morning. Once I checked in I was informed that because I had my child in room with me and my wife that I was not permitted to stay in the room because of their fire code. Mind you my baby is only a few days over one year old and I have been to regular hotles that have never told me this. They told me I had to upgrade or I couldnt stay at the resort and I wouldnt be getting a refund because I booked through a third party. Keep in mind I booked through the Armed Forces Vacation Club. They nickle and dime you for everything. They even have residents, yes I said it, people that live there. They Charge you for wifi, they charge you for laundry, they will charge you for everything they can. The parking lot is always full of water need some rain boots. I would not recommend this resort unless your goal is to be stressed out your entire vacation! MILITARY BEWARE!

Stayed for 3 days out of a week vacation with my 76 year old mother. Place is full of trashy people who bang on walls and scream obscenities at you when you walk past their doors or listen to tv after 9:00 pm. Had to call the police on one guy after two nights of his banging on the adjoining door and the walls till all hours of the night. We checked out and cut our vacation short it was so unpleasant. What a dump - avoid this place
