Great park, lots of trails. Very well maintained. Even when the parking its full, not many chances to bump into someone while biking
If you live within 10 min of this trail, it is a good place to get a decent ride/workout in, mostly flat terrain. Nothing special yet much safer the riding on the streets
Great bike trails, very narrow though so if you are claustrophobic, I do not recommend.Lovely smell of pine, reminds me of xmas, throughout the trails. My husband and I had so much fun. Also, not too many people like Belmont.
Great places to walk. My first time there, no signs visible. Went to the right, walked a cement trail to the end, turned around and walked it back. Would have liked a big circle to walk instead.
Beautiful little preserve. Wonderful to spend an hour or so running through the myriad of trails getting lost and being found again
Not quite the best season to appreciate whats sure to be much better when winters done. Even so, relaxing and enjoyable walk around the park. Looks like great bike trails to explore later.
It is a very Nice place to walk and safe
Great trails for bicking.
Nice park, easy access. Not to crowded. Has bike trails
Very nice trails, peaceful and quiet!
Really fun mtb trails hard to navigate but rewarding once you learn the lay out. Very nice blue technical trails!
45 min from NYC, pure bliss of walking or bike riding in wonderfully smelling forest. You can find a good mushrooms here too. Not crowded. No large animals (dogs mostly on leashes)
Boring mountain bike trail. Better for beginners.
Nice picnic area with walking and bike trails. Some are paved. The radio controlled planes and drones flying around are kind of annoying if your looking for peace and quiet but they can be entertaining to watch. If you bring your dog be sure to check for ticks they are abundant.
Plenty of trails, good parking
AWESOME mountain bike trails!
Nice MTB trails. Could have better markings and maps available. Fun place to explore.
If you want to go for a relaxing walk or want to get some real exercise, this is your place.
Excellent place to ride bikes, walk or run.
Love this mtb trail network. Has a little bit of everything from some slo-go trails to fast flowly to technical. Can do an easy loop or go for a tiring trip taking on all 13 segments. Never see hikers or dog walkers on these mtb trails and you always feel one with nature.
Great trails, lots of paths, dog friendly
This place does not even exit. I went to hike expecting a great experience as the reviews state it is wonderful for hiking with your dog. Upon arrival, I was shocked to see that the trail was non existent. As far dogs, there was none, there was only a missing dog flying hanging on nearby pole. I do not recommend this trail for hiking.
I liked the place better when it had an abandoned hospital building on the property that we explored and vandalized when we were kids.
I went when it was snowing and this place was BEAUTIFUL! My boyfriend and I brought our dog with us and he loved it as well. I got some really great photos and not I can not wait to go back once the plants and trees and flowers start blooming. I do believe though you have to pay for parking when season is coming up but in the winter no payment is required to park.
I havent been there before but of other people go there to enjoy the scenery
Its our club RC Flying field, its great
Perfect for quick hike trails after lunch
Love this place.. Birding peacefull walk
So many trails!
Super sloppy after the storm. Fun though
Pretty big place. Wear a helmet. Take the dog. Couple of tables under a shelter. Nice. Get the permit. Explore. Sub trails off of main loop. Some specific trails for foot traffic only. Good parking. It would take a few days to see everything.
Great place to exercise
I just did some foot recon those bike trails look like a hell of a lot of fun
Great part to walk for exercise; flat and not exactly scenic but decent trails.
Quite and nice
Easy hiking area but you need a DEC land access permit.
What a great place for a quick hike, or to fly your model airplane, drone or whatever!. Open field and windsock has all the right conditions. Lots of birds and tree and paths for walking.
Love this place .. the more times I go w my best furry friend!! So many paths for walking, jogging, bike trails. Open field or wooded area for miles! The only negative no pond/lake!
Love it here, excellent trails and nice pathways too. Pet friendly, just wish there was a lake.
Absolutely huge place to ride and ride and ride my bike, in the winter its the best because ticks arent too bad but in the summer be careful because they are everywhere. There are so many trails to have fun to ride on and can be challenge at times, but mostly just fun woodland coasting. Also dont go the day or maybe the two after the rain or the snow because when we went we got stuck on a two kilometer stretch of the pure mud which was messy and not so much fun.
Good place for a bike ride along the right side of the trail, during the summer you can watch people fly small dromes
Like this place its pretty flat. Great beginner trail.
Peaceful and beautiful. Dont get lost for phone service is spotty due to the density of the forest.
Nice trail, well marked and little obstruction especially because I hike with clippers so hikers who come after me will not get thorns or branches hitting them. Youre welcome
Was great till me and my dogs were getting attack by ticks maybe more of a winter place will try back then
Great trail system typical of long island. Around 14.5 miles of main trail and single track off shoots. 12 off shoots in total with some being really short and the last 2 being pretty long. Difficulty of trails is minimal, but some are new and still semi soft. Also there are barely any down hills so theres no rest time. There is also old train tracks in there. Huge improvement from what it was. Not much elevation change but lots of twists and turns. Great for speed demons and cornering freaks. Again typical LI XC. If you arent in it for the exercise then this place isnt for you. There are ticks here and foxes.
Ive been hiking here for years. Now it is very fancy, with paved parking and real parking spots. The hard wood tree leaf color is fabulous in the fall. In some areas, the pine trees have crowded out hard wood trees. The short native pine trees are common to other of Long Islands famous Pine Barrens.I only wish I had more time to hike here.
Great place to Mountain bike,or Hike.Well marked trails and lots of use.!
Great place for beginner and intermediate mountain biking. Trails could be marked better.
Great trails, you can have a great time riding the trails here.
A variety of habitats makes this a great place to take a nature hike.
Good for riding bicycle
Nice
Good trails.. Clearly marked..
I love it
I take the trails all the time
Hike bike dog friendly preserve great for bird watching too has covered picnic area
First time here and I loved this place....a massive preserve with extensive walking and biking trails galore...cant wait to go back and explore more.
Sketchy unkempt, mostly marked for mountain bikers. Did not see a trail marking for hiking.
Very nice trails out here you should try it out take a bike or hike
Fun
Great easy trails
Ok. My dog got ticks
Great bike trails.
Absolutely a hidden treasure of long island.amazing 5 miles tracks spreading in several directions. Located in the middle of 4 separate towns and f ok mpletly isolated. Beautiful wild life to spot and spectuatular bird watch. The drone/RC plane take off area is a bonus all on its own.
Great for a walk run or bike ride. Dogs allowed
Dogs enjoyed a nice walk through the trails
Parking is close. Great trails. Dog friendly.
Because it is peaceful and secure
Had a nice day out walking our dog nice amount of trails
For the most part, its great. Just watch out for ticks and anti dog lovers, they are few, but there.
Edgewood has a lot to offer to new and beginner Riders
A nice walk with my pup
A great place for hiking walking your dogs birding
Great place to ride your bike. Trails vary in difficulty, but well maintained
Amazing lots of places to go
Its very clean peaceful.. for me its a peaceful retreat!!!
Nice running and bicycle trails. Check for ticks after coming out!
Ever expanding bike trails built and maintained by Concerned Long Island Mountain Bicyclists (CLIMB), from beginner trails to some more skilled sections (6 and 8, especially); hiking trails; model airplane club; some decent birdwatching (Whip-poor-wills, Sharp-Shinned Hawk, robins, catbirds...).
Really nice mountain biking trails some easy some really tight and technical (red labeled trail) also diamond very fun easy to get lost a bit some foot trails
Great place for a hike through the woods
I MISS THE OLD BUILDINGS BUT IF YOU LIKE A GOOD HIKE YOU WILL FIND IT THERE. ONLY BAD THING IS THEY DONT MAINTAIN THE TRAILS
Nice visual/ tranquil place to visit on a nice clear day outside.
Nice place for mountain biking and jogging. 13 trails with different levels of difficult
Nice kept bike paths and walking and feild
Great place for hiking with family
Great place to walk and exercise
