Small, but clean and well marked. Some nice tame trails, and some decently rocky and steep ones. Plenty of opportunities to explore if youre not scared to go off the trails, too!

Nice little hike in Dedham. Not somewhere youd want to bring your bike. Youd pretty much have to walk the bike up. Besides, theres too many people with children to be able to fly down anyway.

A local treasure. Nice trails that arent too easy or too hard. You feel like youre deep in the woods. Do the blue loop and add an out and back across the road next to the Charles and you can get 3-4 miles easy.

A Lovely Place that shows what New England was with the remnants of old walls and stone bridges over little becks of water coming down off of the Granite of Wilson Mountain. It is a popular place for local folks to walk their dogs with their heads down to the ground to sniff the for wild animals. There are Deer, Cottontail Rabbits, Chipmunks and Squirrels

Great trails, not the best parking but usually still available and close. Good during the pandemic.

Nice walk with well marked trails. Some short stone-step climbs lead to nice peekaboo views of the Boston skyline. Many people walk dogs here... official policy of DCR requires leash, but many choose to walk off-leash.

Not a mountain by any stretch of the imagination.Wilson Mt is a large hill of sorts, a 250ft mound covered in a thick patch of woods, rock, and plant cover.Immediately upon entering this state park, youre surrounded by nature. The nearby highway and busy Common Street are quickly forgotten, and it seems like youve ventured into a forest in Western Mass.A generally easy hike if you stay on marked paths.

Great place for a nice walk in the woods but the amount of trash, especially at the beginning of the trails was disgraceful. We saw at least 6 bags left behind by dog owners. It also didnt help that the trash can next to the parking lot was overflowing. I hope people can show more respect for this wonderful local resource so it can be appreciated by everyone.

Beautiful preserve, ruined by dog owners who refuse to observe leash laws. It’s not the Wilson Mountain Dog Park, ok dog owners?

My dog loves it here. In the summer his favorite thing to do is hunt frogs around the pond, since hes not much of a swimmer. Always plenty of other canine friends to meet! You can take one of three trails, shortest being ~10 minutes, longest being ~1 hour. My guy has short legs, so you could probably do it faster.

Quick 2 mile hike in the woods. For such a short hike it has a bit of everything - hills, stream crossing and bog bridges.

I went almost a month ago. The setting was nice. A few nice people along the trail. Most dogs off leash. They must leashed at this trail. You may know that their friendly. But we dont have this information. I dog sit & they are always on leash. When a big dog comes up on you its scarry. No owner in site. But it is a very nice trail. I hope this can be remedied. I would love to see this place in the summer.

A wonderful walk in the woods. Best yet, 98% of dog owners pick up after their pups AND get the bag into the trash! Unfortunately, not true at many of the places my pup and I frequent.

Please leash your dog when walking here. Most people don’t appreciate being approached by a dog they don’t know.

We hike Wilson year round as its kind of a neighborhood place. Very dog friendly with just enough trails to keep things interesting. The primary loop is about two miles long with well worn paths makes this more of a walk in the woods rather than a true hike. At the top is a great view of Boston.Lots of boulders throughout the park to explore.

I love this area and so does my dog. However I have HAD IT with off leash dogs. It is ILLEGAL have your dog off leash here or anywhere in Dedham aside from the dog park. I always have my dog on leash even though hes fine with all dogs. This morning we went on a walk and someones off leash dog straight up charged my dog growling for no apparent reason the second we started on the trail. Nothing came of it, but the owner did very little to get her dog under control and she didnt apologize at all. We just got our dog out of there. Then we proceed to see more and more dogs off leash...every single one coming up to my leashed dog without permission. My dog plays great with other dogs and goes to daycare regularly, but I feel unsafe in these situations. My dog wanted to play with most of the dogs and it was hard to remove him when other dogs kept following. lf you know anything about dog behavior it can be extremely dangerous to have dogs meet on leash in uncontrolled situations and even more so if one is off leash and cant be controlled and the leashed dog cant get away. Some of the off leash dogs here are super well behaved but many are not. Please enforce this or make it an approved off leash area, not a mix.

Wilson Mountain is actually a pretty fun place. Challenging hike, and if you run here, you will definitely carve some mean grippy gritty calves. It has a nice view at the top and the amount of time spent there is pretty substantial, so you feel good and accomplished at the end! I still give 4 stars because its Dedham and you cant expect a life changing experience here, but it is still fun.

These red and blue trail marks on trees are very confusing here and there. You go lets say on a red trail and there is an area where red and blue trails overlap and it must be red AND blue marks on trees, so you know that youre still on the right way. But instead red and blue marks alternate each other and I must say that its very confusing. Other than that everything is beautiful, scenery is great. Dogs are mainly unleashed, however there is a restriction about that.

Wilson Mountain is a lovely place for locals to take an easy hike, perhaps with peers or children. But dont be fooled by the name; this park is small, bounds a moderately busy road, and consists of a few hills.
