Beautiful old theatre, especially when the sign is lit. I dare say most would consider it the crown jewel of downtown Decatur!

Ive always loved coming to support others at their dance recitals but also now that Ive gotten into photography! This is a great location to shoot at!

This is a great old theatre. Reminded me of times past. I was here due to an auction, but was able to walk through the entire place. This place would be a great place just to visit and if you have a reason to go to it, go. Walk around and explore.

It was a lovely, loving, lively event filled with kind people, delicious food, and good music at a great venue. Really enjoyed all the roaring 20s attire in honor of the 100 year anniversary of the theater.

We always enjoy coming to see the Bank Street Players performance of Humbug during the Christmas season. The venue is a nice setting for the stage play/musical and although I havent seen other events there I would assume it is well suited for them as well. Parking is convenient located either on the street or behind the theater.

It is like stepping back in time... in a good way. A small, old theater with every seat a good one. I saw Miracle on 34th Street there. First time I ever saw it on the big screen. Cant wait for my other Christmas favorites.

I found it searching things to do in northern Alabama. What a great night of entertainment with the Elvis remembered concert. The area has great restaurants to get a quick bite before or after a show.

Good place to visit for entertainment. Have gone before.

We have been there to the wizard of OZ, as well as Ibex Puppetry Celebreation of flight. Both were amazing. The surrounding area is great as well.

The Glenn Miller Band was exceptional! My husband and I enjoyed it immensely.

Saw a great show here. Love the atmosphere. Really had fun - alcohol is available, sift drinks, snacks. Definitely will be back to see more shows.

The Princess is a tradition here in North Alabama. They host live shows and classic films. Full of small town charm, I recommend it.

Historic theatre with terrific acoustics, whether on main floor or balcony. Seats around 700. Equipped with full theatrical lighting/flies & very professional staff.

Rockin Great Time

Great show. I hope Decatur starts utilizing it on a weekly basis. Downtown Decatur is always bustling when a show is going on.

The theatre is beautiful. Unfortunately their marketing is targeted to the businesses downtown and the people that live in old Decatur. The rest of the city is never informed about interesting performances until the afternoon of, or days after.

Beautiful venue. They host many different kinds of events including off Broadway shows, comedians, musicians, and lectures. They also host dance recitals and other special events. The lobby has recently had a multimillion dollar renovation and the historic marquee has been restored and modernized. Be sure to take a look at the original lobbys floors that feature an inlaid map of the area.

The princess theatre was beautiful inside and out, the employees were great and it has a very nostalgic feel. The seats are comfortable also.

Friendly staff and great atmosphere always something interesting great concerts...we were at the Corey Smith acoustic concert...it was incredible...definitely recommend

The Princess is an institution of artistic integrity and a romantic love of the past. I only wish I had come back sooner. We will definitely be back again and again.

Went to a comedy show here. Theatre was nice.

We went to see a musical performance by The Bank Street Players. The musical was called American Made. The was a performance themed around the fourth of July celebrations. The singers ranged in age from around 10 to 60s. It was overall a very fine performance!! I highly recommend it!!!

We watched Crimes of the Heart. It was a great play! The actors and actresses were fantastic! The price of the tickets were very affordable!

My wife and I enjoyed the music. Great acoustics in the building.

Its nice enough, but I wish they would bring the inside into the modern era. The extra wide chairs are nice, and there is handicap seating on the bottom floor. They should reconsider the railing on the balcony. Its low for visibility, but its an accident waiting to happen.

I like the history of the building and the intimacy of the group. But, the lobby area is very loud and is heard inside the theater which almost ruined the show for me.

We have gone here a few times to see some wonderful performances. The actors are skilled, and the sets are well done even if they are on a small budget scale. About the only issue is that sometimes the sound is not that great, otherwise I would give it 5 stars. It is a great place to go to be entertained for a few hours.

It was a great venue for the dance recital I went to. Snacks and drinks are available.

Not much choice in live plays anymore..For 2 seniors $40. To see NUTCRACKER.. It lasted one hour and was a huge disappointment!!

2nd show I have been to in the listening room , great atmosphere , great staff

The music overpowered the vocals. Everyone was making comments about not hearing well. Very disappointing.

I came for the Mike Cooley shows and I genuinely enjoyed the experience. The staff is super nice and extremely personable.

Attended my 2nd event this month Nutcracker was outstanding. This historic theater is still bringing quality entertainment to decatur.

The Websters Karate Black Belt Spectacular Was AWESOME, Enjoyed It To The Fullest!!!

The performance was amazing but the intermission would have been a lot more amazing if 3 stalls in the ladies bathroom had not malfunctioned and been out of order.

Saw a great play, by a bunch of elementary students.

Lots of charm in this historic building but some areas need a little updating. I noticed some of the flooring was peeling up which could be a safety hazard. Just needs a little TLC!

When I was in beauty school, the students helped the little girls with their buns and makeup. They did the sweetest performance ever, and they were very grateful.
