Ive ordered from here for years and just realized there is a physical store. I could have stayed all day. They have all of your art supply needs. The store was very clean and well organized. The employees were very helpful and happy. I was looking for markers and one employee explained that I can test them out but any marker that I touch I need to put in a bin for them to sanitize. I really appreciate this step that they are taking to ensure cleanliness.

Me and my friend were forced to wait outside while it was snowing and cold. We went into the building and my friends mask broke so we stepped outside to fix said mask. While walking out a young lady told us they were at capacity and that we needed to wait outside. This was after we had already been in the building, we just needed to step out to fix my friends mask. We werent even allowed to wait in the small room between the two entrances because it was technically inside despite there being a door and glass between us and the store. Also why is the max capacity only 10 people with 3 of those people being workers. I am happy to comply with wearing a mask, social distancing, and max capacity rules but forcing us to wait outside in the cold is not okay especially when there is a small area semi-inside we could have stood. Will not be returning again.

The staff is awesome and the selection of products available is enormous. My only complaint is that some of the prices are very high for airbrush jars. Otherwise everything was fantastic and the rest of what we purchased was priced at about what I would expect.

Upon entering the building, I saw a sea of arts supplies. Architectural supplies and all kinds of art supplies! I would recommend all artist to go there! You will be sure to get what you are looking for.

Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Its a smaller store so not as much selection on the floor (reason for only 4 stars) but they are happy to order anything for you. They are taking appointments for shopping which was rather pleasant.

Love Blick! Absolutely love it. Been going there for years and have ALWAYS had incredibly helpful and attentive staff.

I dont naturally possess artistic qualities but I wish I did. I went looking for a gift for someone else. The staff are very knowledgeable and can answer any question you have. Go there, look around, test them, and be inspired. I was in awe learning of a life foreign to me. If you want it, they probably have it or can order it.

Prices are decent parking is a little weird but the employees are knowledgeable and polite.

So fun to walk around and look at everything they have. Friendly and helpful staff.

To start, this is my favorite place to buy my art supplies, I do illustration, and other mediums, and this is hands down the best place to buy the supplies one needs - Ive never had a problem with stock, things are always organized, its wonderful. However... Ive rarely ever had good customer service here. Some of the general staff are polite and ask if I need any help, which I dont normally do, but on the supervisory level... I witness them complain about people, they laze around a lot and the associates seem to do the work while they fiddle behind the counter, and all these things have irked me. I have over ten years of retail experience and worked for years on the management level, but the thing that made me finally write about it, was when I was in on Sunday a couple days ago... I came in about a half hour before close, and I hate being that person, but I just needed to pick up a couple items in a rush, so I knew I would be quick, and I kept asking my husband what the time is so I wouldnt be a bother and to check out before store closing. I was asked a couple times if I needed any help, which was fine, but what irked me was... Several minutes before the store closed still, I was looking through some of the sketchbooks, and the man who was working walked past me, turned off the lights directly above me, and then walked past me again. Not a single time did anyone inform anyone in the store that it would be closing soon, they just started turning off the lights. It was eight minutes before closing time. That is just, unacceptable. If any of my employees ever did that, it would be a serious discussion, and I have had plenty of times in the past where Ive been extremely irritated, or had rude customers, who dismissed polite warnings about the store closing, or already being closed, who lingered and made me get home late. I know the annoyances. But you cant shut things down, or treat people that way, when the store is still in open hours. It was immature, unprofessional behavior by the employee; they should have first verbally informed people the store would be closing soon, and to come up with their purchases within the next couple of minutes - not communicating, and turning the lights off when the store is still open is absolutely, unacceptable.

My son is currently taking a college art class and was in need of additional art supplies. We made a visit to the Dearborn store on Tuesday, September 10th. Shortly after entering the store, the cashier quickly asked if we needed help and came from behind the counter to help us. Now, I would not normally have an issue with this except for the fact that she seemed to single us out. We were the only african americans in the store. I watched to see if she would respond in the same way to others walking into the store and she did not. They were all white. We needed to return to the store on Sunday 09 15 19 for a few items missed. I was glad at first to see that there was a different clerk behind the counter. Perhaps, we would have a better experience. On the contrary. She greeted us as we entered but after she cleared her line, she sought after us to see if we needed help. I guess we had a sign on our foreheads saying please help So, I obliged her and told her what we needed. She wasnt that kind or polite. After getting our first items, she did not give them to me, but told me that we could retrieve them at the register. My son also needed another item. She pointed it out to us then walked away. But, then had the audacity to come back to the aisle to see why we had not come the register. In the meantime, there were plenty of others shopping in the store with additional people coming in. The store is small and I never heard her ask anyone else if they needed assistance. Again were the only african americans in the store. So, I give them one star. They had the materials we needed. But were being racially profiled.

Take your kids to Blicks and let them experience the days before tech killed the fun out of getting charcoal, paint, and clay on your hands. I have been going to Blicks since 1986 and recently took my nephew there to his delight. The service is the best and always knowledgeable and friendly. Great for the young, student, and professional. Wide variety of goods and supplies. If they dont have it, they will find it for you.

They seem to have a pretty good selection of products here. Its just very pricey.

Very wonderfully designed art store. While I dont do much art, it was very easy to navigate to find the things I needed. The staff was also very helpful, answering every question I had with a smile! Definitely a great place to go if you want a one stop shop for art

Good service with very nice staff. Unfortunately they didnt have the sketchbook I was looking for, but this is a nice store with plenty of selections to choose from. One of the staff members had a genuinely nice conversation about which sketchbook is the best with me, and that was definitely helpful.

So many wonderful art supplies. They carry all manner of mediums. The staff is very friendly. They sell quality products. Block also runs some great sales. I recommend signing up.for their emails or checking out whats on sale before you head in.

My daughter (12) wanted to purchase some art supplies for a project she has been working on and when she had questions they answered her in the same manner I would expect to be addressed. She appreciated not being talked down to just because she is a child. They seem to understand that artists of varying abilities coming in all ages and they dont scoff at your ignorance if you have what might be simple beginner questions.

Great store thats always well stocked with professional art supplies of all sorts. Prices are fair, not as cheap as places like Michaels, but they sell pro grade art supplies. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Not impressed. Supply stock has been on the shelves for a long time. So long that the paint had settled and went bad.

Cool store, actually better than Michaels and Hobby Lobby in the art supplies area. Much better selection in artist supplies than the aforementioned stores with better prices too.

Always have what Im looking for

I felt like a kid in a candy store!! Im no artist, but I do a lot of paper crafting and woodworking. The selection and variety of paper was a little overwhelming at first, but once I started to put my excitement aside, I was very happy with what I purchased, and the price that I purchased it for. They also had everything imaginable for framing and more paints than I even knew existed. This was an absolutely wonderful store to visit!!

Very good experience at this store. Wasnt sure what I wanted, but walked out with a wonderful easel with the help of our sales person. I didnt catch her name but receipt says Sales Associate #9071. I am excited to get painting and will be using Blick for art supplies in the future.

Was able to get all the supplies I needed. I came for a bunch of copic sketch markers and left satisfied a few colors werent in stock but I found an alternative. Also the blick brand markers are pretty good.

I love Blick but the going to the location in Dearborn was awful. That store does not have enough supplies and their staf is not helpful, I asked help to find some supplies or alternatives and they hardly gave me any response. I end leaving the store and buying at Midtown Detroit Not a great customer experience.
