Beautiful selection of cichlids. Went in looking for some OB Marmalades and came home with nine. Billy was very helpful and knowledgeable. Nice little place with a wide variety of fish. Prices can be high but this is coming from a novice. Ive only bought my fish here and nowhere else. They are wonderful at answering any questions and the grandchildren love coming and just watching the fish. Its small and kind ofsteamy ? humid? but worth it for the brief time you are there.

Great place for pond fish at reasonable prices

Ive been in the hobby since 2011 and Daytona Aquarium have the best quality African Cichlids in the business hands down. I make it a point when Im in a city to visit local fish stores to see what they have to offer. They might have one or two really nice fish but you go Daytona Aquarium and its nothing but show quality specimens. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

We started a Cichlid tank a several weeks ago . The guys at Daytona Aquarium are just Wonderful. They are so Knowledgeable. They take the time to answer questions and make recommendations. I cant say enough about the establishment . I highly recommend this Aquarium.

If you want African chiclids, this is the place to go. Personally, I find the fish aggressive and you should have a larger tank if you want these fish. They have a more limited choice of tropicals. Different types than what you will find in these factory stores, but rarity makes them cost more. One common fish they do have are neon tetras that they will sell in bulk for discount. Also got a Cory dora panda cat that is doing wonderful in my tank. They do not do saltwater fish.

They have great pricing and health fish. Had everything needed.

I bought 6 all-male aulonocara cichlids from Billy and his team in November 2019. They were very helpful in suggesting what to buy, communicating about the order and packing the order. The fish arrived with Fedex ground after 20hours door-to-door to Southeast Florida at a small cost. The fish were in great shape and 3 months later they are super healthy and beautiful. I am so happy to have found a trustworthy, high quality and reasonably priced African cichlid store and will be back.

I purchased fish from all the top dogs in the fish hobby. SouthEast Cichlid, Cichlid Shack, Aims Aquatics etc. All are great but I prefer my LFS. If your in the area I highly recommend you stop in. Ask for Billy he’s more than willing to help.

I spent over $120 on fish cichlids in their store and after putting them in my tank everything but the cleaner fish died overnight the cleaner fish are happy and healthy when I called the store to see if they would give me credit for these fish that died they refuse to do anything to help they want to blame everything on my tank if it were my tank the other fish would be dead as well. I bought other fish from another store and have had no problems so I take it that these fish from the store are not that healthy and I would not recommend anybody buying anything from these people unless you just want to do it as is because if you have a problem you will not get your money back nor will you get a credit because these people are Crooks. I will never shop in this store again!!!!

Very knowledgeable staff and a very nice stock of freshwater fish . Prices are fair and a lot of the fish are older juveniles or adults. Shich is very difficult to find in Jacksonville. They might seem pricey the fish but they are larger than what you will find at the chain pet stores . They also have ponds in the back of the store.

Just got back home from my first visit to Daytona Aquarium having drove the 1 hour + trip from Melbourne. I am quite glad that I made the trip and will be going back there in the future. Tim was very helpful as was the other gentleman (I forgot to ask his name). If youre a cichlid lover like me, you will be impressed with the selection available to you. We bought 10 chilids sizing anywhere from 3inches to 5 & very healthy & most beautiful we have ever seen. We highly recommend this place.

This place was hopping! But honestly that was not surprising after I had walked around the tanks and saw the amazing variety of cichlids that they had. Prices were great, so many other stores like to hike up the price of the cichlids for some reason. Extremely knowledgeable staff as well. They also had some fish that I had not seen anywhere else. This is a true aquarium store you will definitely not be disappointed. You may have a small wait if they are busy but the fish are surely worth it.

Billy and Gary were great guys! This was my second time coming here and they were completely honest with me even if that meant not making a sale. They have a really good policy on returning dead fish (that wasnt their fault) and I see it as really fair. I was even able to contact Gary after hours and get advice on how to treat a problem I was having in my tank. They are really helpful and honest guys. My only complaint Is theres not enough live plants!

Billy and the older heavier set gentleman do not focus on customer service. We came almost 2 hr ride to be to told when we got there that the fishes we wanted were completely out of stock. And every time we kept asking what type of fish where in certain tanks we got an attitude. Came all the way for a albino Taiwan reef he had one in display tank wanted $55 and wouldnt even meet me halfway for a sale when everywhere else the fish sells cheaper. These people dont care theyll just sell you high price fish that are not worth what your paying. Try to stay away and go to other local cichlid farms.
