I am a volunteer here. And they have treated me and my children great. The actors are wonderful and so is everyone else. It makes me want every Friday to come faster. They treat you like family and I want to say a big thank you for showing us that. I went to the Dayton Scream Park the first night as a guest and I would rate it a 5 star from that night. Thats why I wanted to volunteer at that moment on. Thanks you all.

We waited 2 hours in line which is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5. The scream park itself was so much fun. Took about 45-55 minutes to walk through. They send you in groups but you can separate into your own groups through the trails. Actors were hilarious, great people working there. Lots of security also. Overall best haunted house experience Ive been too! Definitely recommend

Excellent walk through haunted/scary park! Plenty of scares and some neat one of a kind oddities/personalities around every corner! The walk is about 20-30 min, and you do need to be a bit nimble/flexible etc. You do take some stairs and have to crawl through some spaces, but mostly doable. Go have fun!

This is by far the worst haunt Ive ever been to in my life. A humongous waste of money. I went to a haunt put on by a bunch of kids and teenagers that took 4 minutes to walk through and was planned in 30 days that was scarier than this one. There were hardly any actors in the entire thing and the few that were there did a horrible job. The costumes were terrible and the actors werent even trying. I will never return here and I recommend that no one else go either. The entire thing was just mazes made of skids and tarps. The few props that were around were horrible and outdated. I feel like Ive been robbed. I really dont understand how this haunt has a 4.3 star rating with 632 reviews. 45 minutes if my life that I will never get back.

I went with a group of nine ppl and had so much fun. This wasnt really scary to me but it was a fun atmosphere. I would recommend either coming early to get in for 20 but if you rather come later than its worth paying the 40 for VIP to get through the line with little to no wait plus you get a bonus attraction.

This is the worst haunted house Ive ever been to and I have a lot of them under my belt. The only way I can see the ratings being so high is if the volunteers and their family and friends are writing good reviews to cover the bad. Most could pull off better set, props and actors in their back yard. There were barely any actors and the ones that were there were kids and teenagers that didnt care. Dont waste your money or time. Beyond the fist few scenes where there are a couple trucks and campers it quickly turns into the majority of props throughout being garbage bags and skids.

Definitely one of the better haunted attractions Ive been to. Its long enough that you dont question rather or not you wasted your money, with a lot of cool props and scenes. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because it needed more live monsters to interact with, but still a fun experience.

The clown on stilts will forever be my favorite clown at Dayton Scream Park! All 4 attractions were amazing too say the least & I enjoyed every minute of walking through. Hollywood was definitely my favorite attraction this year with not only Leatherface running people out of his scene but Freddy vs Jason started actually fighting!!! I’d give this place 6 of 5 stars if I could.

Tonight was the first night I have had gone here or even been to a haunted place myself and overall I had a BLAST!!! I screamed at every turn I made which was pretty amazing to say the least. Didn’t have to wait in line that long and the pricing is amazing, had great staff to help you in the right direction if you didn’t know where you were going on the path because not going to lie it’s very dark back there once you get further into it. Will DEFINITELY be coming back next year! Also there is strobe lights so if you are sensitive to that this place may not be suitable for you. I knew it gave me an instant headache as soon as I saw it but the staff at the very front give you a heads up about it before you go in! Just be cautious because I almost passed out from it tonight!!

Scares were pretty good. You could hear my less than manly shrieks on more than one occasion. There were some fun characters in there and a lot of stuff to look at. You can tell that some of the haunters really put a lot of passion into what theyre doing. If waiting for 2 hours with unenforced social distancing and people puffing cigarette smoke in your face throughout the entire line isnt your thing though, then perhaps find somewhere else to go.In all seriousness I dont regret going one bit, but some regulations about not smoking in a line full of people should be put into place. Maybe designate a smoking area? If regulations like that are already in place, they should be enforced. There were children in the line and no doubt people with medical conditions, such as asthma, that could be harmed by smoke like that. Fix this and Ill consider it 4.5 stars.

Not the best not the worst needs improvement but I will give it four stars because it’s super long and worth the money would like to see the mats taken out they’re hazardous and a little more kindness to customers the staff can be rude there because of how crowded it gets they need to plan ahead maybe open earlier or stay later and be more relaxed and set the tone. Parking is crowded needs improvement also the line needs a little improvement it’ takes longer than it should but it was worth seeing. No fights tonight and half the people wore masks and there was signs to encourage mask wearing however some didn’t follow the rules. Other than that I give it 4 stars the actors did their jobs well it needs some improvement with empty scenes and more arrows do you don’t get lost other than that not bad !

Two stars because the trail itself was kind of cool and took 20/30 minutes to walk through, but it was not scary at all and the night i went (a saturday) there were very few actors working, and the ones who were there put in minimal effort. it got confusing because we caught up with the group ahead of us and the group behind us caught up to us as well. all in all it was better than sitting at home i guess, but ultimately i did not feel it was worth the admission price and would not go back

I went opening night this year and it was a terrible experience. They allowed people to cut lines. They didn’t enforce wearing mask. And the actual haunting part was terrible. They were in such a rush to get everyone out that they allowed large groups to go at a time and I mean 12-20 people. By the time my groups turn came around all the workers were tired. They didn’t even bother to scare my group like at all. One of the workers through water on us twice. Literally as we walked through workers were sitting on the floor eating or on their phones. No one tried to scare us. We wasted $20 that night.

Overall not bad of a place. The attractions were long and I definitely enjoyed myself! I paid for V.I.P ($40 a person) which included a new maze. It was was challenging, got lost and ended up walking out where we came in! I think there were too many emergency exits that got us confused. Wish we could’ve completed it fully!!I do have to say, some of the younger employees were very unprofessional and not sticking to the script. As in talking with others and not paying attention to next groups following in.You can tell the owners put a lot of time and effort into making this attraction and I definitely would recommend to friends!!

Review №29

It wasnt terrible but it also wasnt the best attraction Ive been to. Not sure if the actors are paid or volunteers. Im sure that would make a difference in how they perform. The actors were of all ages- which was cool but they could have been more frightening. There were also many gaps in the trail where youre just in the forest- a great place to scare people but it was just a nice quiet stroll. Having the actors spaced out more would also help with navigating through the trail. We got lost many times and no one to guide us. They also had the radio playing which had commercials. They most definitely could afford to invest in an auxiliary cord and hook up a phone. A pre-made CD would be better than hearing commercials. As an adult, the scariest things were the things that interact with your 5 senses. If they add more things to mess with your senses, actors a little more scary/spaced out more throughout, and they get premium(no ads) pandora/YouTube/ play a CD, it would be much more frightening for adults and get 5- stars from me.Nonetheless, it was still a fun thing to do on a Saturday night during a pandemic. I would come back next year to see if they improve, if not I wouldnt recommend.

It wasn’t scary and there didn’t seem to be many actors as most of the mazes we just walked through them with no one scaring us and when they did they would body shame my boyfriend or scream high pitch in our ears. Some aspects was cool like going through the woods and some of the theming with Jason/Freddy/leather face. When we asked if we could go back through the mazes again to get our money worth they told us we would have to pay again! For $40 a person it wasn’t worth it for about an hour walk through.

A few of the actors got up in my face like nose to nose close and didn’t back up when I asked them to. Most of the actors didn’t have on there mask , and they stopped and talked to us and didn’t try to scare us. It’s a waste of money . And I definitely wouldn’t get the vip bands you go through a maze that’s not even really put together that well , they also have weird Mats on the floor that could make you hurt yourself by tripping at any time . It’s a big waste of time and money.

I want to start off by saying that I travel all over the midwest looking for the best haunts. I have attended over 60 haunts in the last 5 years. My experience at this haunt wasnt bad by no means but it definitely lacks a lot compared to some of the best haunts Ive been to. The trail is garbage, it needs to be much darker and less spread out. It really doesnt have much going for it at all. The 3 other haunts are merely pallet mazes that are pretty much all the same. There really is no theme at all at this haunt which I think hurts it more than anything. Anamatronics are far and few and non effective. I will say there are a ton of actors at this haunt but sadly they are not used effectively either. It is literally a bunch of teenagers running around with cheap Walmart masks on with no rhyme or reason. Most of the actors just stood there quietly as we passed. If these actors were properly trained to interact with the crowd and have an actual purpose in the haunt this haunt would transform into something that could rival the top haunts. On the plus side this haunt is long but there were times when I felt like I was just walking through a bunch of curtains (owner must love curtains because there must be a thousand) to see the same thing over and over again and was actually relieved to be finally out and walking back to my car. If this haunt would focus on quality over length I think it would definitely be more worth the money. I personally would rather go to a short haunt that has well trained actors and themed surroundings in my opinion.

Dayton Scream Park is over priced and not really worth it. They Say theres 4 Mazes however its really only 1 Trail thats cut up into sections. Then if you pay an extra $20 you can get a skip a line pass which I was assuming meant you could skip the line for 4 mazes when in reality you skipped the line for the trail. But you also get access to a 4th maze. But that 4th maze is literally a maze. No scare actors you just wonder aimlessly trying to find the exit. Also I paid $40 and Im only able to do the maze once which is bs. If I paid that much for literally 1 maze then I should be able to do it as many times to get my moneys worth. Keep in mind that its just under $40 for Kings Island Haunt where you can get unlimited rides and mazes for the night. So honestly i should of just paid $75 to do Land of Illusion and get the skip the line pass there where they have 7 seperate mazes. Man this was a waste of moneyThere wasnt that many scare actors and very few memorable moments. I like that its all in the woods. There was a room with just a table and a bottle of Hand sanitizer which I thought was funny. There was another room with a bunch of fridges and no where to go and then out comes a clown from one of them and you go into that fridge to continue along the maze. I thought that was cool. .There was a room with leatherface in it. He had a chainsaw and was cutting up a dead body and water squirts on you when he does it. That was a nice touch. The beginning of the maze had you walking through the woods and you could see a scare actor in the distance. That was cool for the creepy factor however it probably would of been better if they just hid in the trees. There was also a room that had a guy in a cage and he had a stick that would create sparks when he hit the cage. That was a cool effect to see the sparks fly. Also it felt weird to walk in some areas cuz they have these weird mats on the floor that makes you feel like youre stepping on, im guessing entrails or bugs. It just felt weird on my feet. Also This place aint made for big people. Lots of crouching and tight spaces. There was one lady who quit a maze saying this aint made for fat ladies (lol)Overall I would say spend a little extra and go to Land of Illusion (which i never been to but i bet its better than this place)

I went through yesterday with a friend and came back through tonight with about 6 family members and we all got v.i.p.Ill start off by saying not everything has to be a maze. The extra v.i.p. scene was just a really bad maze. Theres way to many spots to get lost and like 50% of the actors are just teenage clowns or teens covered in blood. We got our first real scare with the glowing faceless werewolf, the clown with the bell, and a fat orange clown but it has some very rude actors in between that cursed my group out and mocked us. The second night only the werewolf and the rude guy was still there. Clown town had a few really good clowns but some really bad ones. Hollywood was pretty lack luster, the scenes didnt really match the characters but Kruger, Myers, and the chainsaw guy all, scared us pretty good. I thought the faceless werewolf, a clowntown clown and the chainsaw were the best scares. Over all I would go through again but I wouldnt get v.i.p. because honestly it meant worth that much. Friday was 100% times better than tonight.

@Amber Scotts review says is wonderfully. The mats throughout the attraction need to be removed. Period. Dangerous and would rather walk on the ground. So many people were stumbling and tripping over them because theyre bent upwards catching shoes. Also, seems like with their high prices, we would walk through more than old skids and have more than a few little kids scream a high pitch frequency into the ears of guests.. isnt what my family called scary at all. There was about half of the time that we walked without anything jumping, popping out, screaming, chain sawing, we did hear the 4wheeler off in the distance and saw some headlights but that was it for that.. but nothing at all for at least half of our walk through the trail.*as for mask wearing.. were outdoors and they dont protect against ANY virus any how so, not the least bit bothered by that.I felt that for what we got... we were over charged. Prices need to be lowered if funds arent going to the much needed upgrades. We waited over in hour in line, and cmon with the double price of $40 to get VIP , thats laughable and waaaaay ridiculously priced! Then, we skipped the 3rd attraction called Hollywood due to ANOTHER long line that we were told had another hour wait... and for what? To possibly get the same weak experience... we didnt take that chance. We opted out and left. My 6, 9, and 17 year old got scared maybe a couple of times each. Seriously needs a major face lift to the place and better scare tactics. Screaming and face paint isnt the best tactic based on my experience. I dont have FB so I hope that was enough details for the owner.

The place was incredibly bad. Two friends and I went and bought VIP passes and drove 2 hours to get here. I dont think the other comments about people in their lines doing things that are against the rules is a fair judgment of their haunt, however, the quality of the trail itself was comparable to a middle school putting on a haunted house for a charity. Not scary, poorly designed, music from radio stations with ads playing on full blast while walking through. I dont think listening to tire ads and car insurance ads add to the effect of, Im terrified. Lots of instances when actors went out of character and cussed you out for not being scared by their attempt. A couple of guys in the rat traps reeked of booze on their breath and were stumbling around. Worst haunted house Ive ever been to. Go to Land of Illusion ($50) in Middletown, or Haunted Hoochie ($25) in Columbus and pay the small extra price, (or the same price) for a haunt thats 10X better.

I had the VIP and Touch Pass. Our experience was great! It was fun. Not super scary, but well worth the money.Need more female workers so the touch pass is worth the money for women. Touch Pass is awesome for men since more men work there.
