I am so happy to have Tom De Vita in my life. He’s an incredible teacher. He’s patient, kind, funny, and very knowledgeable. I have grown as an artist by leaps and bounds. He made me feel at home when I had first arrived at the art academy and it feels like home now. I highly recommend De Vita Academy of Art to everyone that’s looking for an art school!

This is the best art school that Ive ever been to. Tom and Lindia are caring instuctors and very encouraging. If youre looking to improve your drawing , there is inst any place better than De Vita Academy Of Art.

This is a family owned business owned by people who could not be kinder and more talented. I have learned so much from these professional artists, and have been given the opportunity to be creative in my own personal way while also learning indispensable artist techniques. I would recommend this school to anyone of any age or experience level.

Tom helped me develop tremendously as an artist, he is extremely knowledgable in a variety of techniques and methods and is a nurturing instructor. I consider him both a mentor and now a friend. What a great school and atmosphere! I came in at the beginner level and was very shy but that quickly went away as Tom treats everyone with the same passion and care regardless of skill level. I learn something new every class, truly an outstanding institute of art!

Its so hard to believe that a teacher of such outstanding talent in both art and in teaching itself exists in a Fort Lauderdale suburb. I met a person who spent a quarter of a million dollars for a 4 year degree in a premier art school for a career that offers job titles like starving artist. He told me if he had life to live over again he would not have gone to such a school. Instead he would have looked for private instruction. Thats all well and good but go find this magical teacher! Well, Tom DeVita IS that magical teacher. He is so far beyond anything I could have expected to find. He has tremendous talent, extensive knowledge regarding art history and art movements, has a warm manner, a great sense of humor and instinctively walks the line between the help you need and backing off to let you learn. I have never had a teacher like him. This school presents an unparalleled opportunity to learn how to draw/paint. As if that werent enough, the studio itself is a pleasure to be in . Tom creates a wonderful environment.

I have learned so much from De Vita Academy of Art. Ive been taught how to appreciate and understand art and how to become a better artist all together! As a Broward College painting student, Tom De Vita has shown me many different painting and drawing techniques to help me improve as an artist. Without his help, my painting skills wouldnt have advanced to where they are now. I had visited him at the De Vita Academy of Art for some assistance on a project at Broward and he was eager to show me ways to enhance my drawing. If youre looking to become a better artist, this is the best place to go to learn how to draw, paint, and design. :-)

I started art classes here without any experience before and each class that i attended to devitas academy felt like therapy to me. Tom and his wife linda are amazing and the take their time for you. Every class I learned something different about any type of art. I had to leave florida but im sure i would never find a better teacher than tom or a better place. thank you guys you are the best of the best !!.

Im attending the DeVita academy for over a year and couldnt be happier with the results. Im taking drawing and painting. The groups are small and prof. Tom DeVita has a lot of time for each student. The classroom is clean and everyone is friendly, I love to be there, so relaxing.Both, prof. Tom and prof. Linda DeVita has outstanding skills in arts and teaching.
