Loved the focus on the Midwest and would like to see more of that. They should double down on that identity rather than trying to have a ton of random European art, too. Just my opinion.

Very respected art gallery. Collections are limited and the number of pieces is surprisingly limited considering the size of the museum. More modern art than expected. If you prefer paintings that depict an actual scene/subject and not just a smear of colors, you may be a bit disappointed. Still, there are terrific works here, you just have to cover some ground to see them.

I am an artist and I would say the Figge has a nice variety of art. Due to the current situation, my son and I were the only people their minus the employee! It was really exclusive. We took the stairs and oh was it a workout! I love the views of the river as we climbed to the top floor. Definitely recommend if youre interested in culture.Check out your local library for passes! The lady in the gift shop provided us a map and explained where all the exhibits were and a recommended path to wonder. The Irma Koen exhibit was special and we were lucky to catch it for its last week. The museum has a great focus on art that is both religious and from colonialism. The view of the river is beautiful in winter and an amazing spot to view the eagles. Cannot recommend enough.

If you are looking for a place to go to look at art and explore what you like as an artist, this is the place for you. The staff here will help with any information that you may like about the background of the piece. Most of the art comes from local artists around the quad cities, but there are also pieces that have come from Europe, South America, and Asia. There is a diner in the main lobby that is a bit expensive for a quick eat. Overall, a good place to stop and enjoy some art.

This is a really nice art museum, that should not be overlooked. I have been here multiple times, but I was here recently for the French Impressionists exhibit that had been made available through some very kind donors who also donated all entrance fees. The exhibit was wonderfully done. I try to go here at least every 6 months, and if Im not mistaken, the entrance is free on Thursdays after 5.

The museum itself was a wonderful experience. I was there for the French impressionist exhibit. Wonderful collection and as a bonus there was a John Bloom exhibit at the same time. I also truly enjoyed their perminant collections as well. There’s a charming gift store too. We decided to take in the full Figge experience and enjoy a lunch at the cafe with a beautiful river view. That was a mistake. They were very busy and said it would be a 20 minute wait, fine it was more like 35. When we did get seated it over 15 minutes to get water then we sat there another 20 minutes and watched people who had been seated after us get waited on. None of the servers or the manager said a word to us. When they waited on four other table that had been seated after us, one only there for about 5 minutes we got up and left

Great museum for a smaller city. Particularly enjoyed the John Bloom exhibit. The front desk was chaotic to say the least. And of course they were setting up for a wedding reception, which we had to walk through to get to the entrance. Poor layout.

I truly enjoyed all the art work throughout the building. It was my first time at an art museum and I felt moved by a few pieces. It was $14 for myself and my hubby to go.
