Very pretty and the history is very interesting. Exciting improvements in the next few years will make it a wonderful destination.

You can tell this park has seen better days. Still a nice little park, but theres not much there. Our family searched for parks near Danville while on a trip, and we liked Lincoln Park a lot more.

The whole north side of the park is getting completely refreshed, Im particularly excited for the new professionally designed disc golf course!

I took great pics of deer at this park this year. Theres a nice playground for the kids. If the public restrooms that are on the premises were open it would be really great but the vandalism by the local hoodlums was so bad for the past 2 years that the park district chose open them for use by the public.

Great place to get away from everything.

Peaceful and large area for fishing an enjoying just mother-nature.

Clean up is coming along nicely. Fishing and a few trails. Family friendly early in the day unsavory activities happen the later it gets unfortunately.

The city is putting in new playgrounds, concession stand and a frisbee course.

Beautiful area, friends got married there but limited parking.

Used to be a good place to make moonshine or find people to have been making moonshine but nowadays the law has come in and crack down because you got regulators and bureaucrats people that want nothing to do with the moonshine and the whiskey shine they just want to smoke that crack cocaine they aint got nothing to do with the white lightning

Need some money put into it to restore it. City needs to fix it up. Starting to look run down. Used to be nice park. Am disappoint.

My boyfriend and I went down to see what it looked like after the dam removal. Wow is all I can say. BIG difference.

Stopped in on a hot day trying to get feet wet. River has a lot of debris and garbage in it. Not many water holes in the area so was nice to at least see the river!

The city does not put much effort into taking care of this park its in a very sad shape of disarray and the state of Illinois is in the process of removing a low-head dam which is been a danger to fisherman and canoers over the years so whats hope there is progress being made it would really be nice if the city would take care of the park oh what could be done with this park and provide a nice environment for citizens it would be great to have a biking path through here

Beautiful play structure. Benches and picnic tables. Restrooms were locked though.

Poor neglected park that everyone has forgotten about. One of the oldest parks in town.

Quiet place for a small party. I didnt catch any fish, but Good Luck to anybody else! Theres No Water fountain, so bring your own beverages. #NoPlaceLikeHome

They took out the dam so there is no fishing. Just a mosquito infested mud puddle.

Fall fest in Danville was fun Saturday

Its gotten bad over years..but its still a good park to take kids and when they have things to do with family down there..its not bad bad..its a nice park..I just think it needs some updates for people comming going all the time

I wouldnt advise going to Ellsworth Park late at night because this one time I was out there and there were these people and they were like living in the bathroom and they asked me if I had a dollar. I asked him what he needed a dollar for is there a vending machine in that bathroom? They got mad and I kind of got scared and left and went across the bridge and smoked a joint and this dude on a bicycle rode up to me and asked if I was looking for a good time I said yeah were all looking for a good time arent we? And he said do you want to go for a walk I said thats a silly thing to ask Buddy because youre riding a bike so youd be going for a bike ride and Ill be going for a walk which made him mad any started trying to cut me up with his samurai sword. After I got away from him I had to defeat Pyramid Head before I could finally escape the park. But in the daytime its a great Park to take the kids and its right by the river and you can go fishing and stuff its pretty awesome just dont go at night.
