This is an awesome local live theater & art gallery for the San Ramon, Danville, & Alamo communities to visit and enjoy.Besides having comedy, musical, theater shows, the Town of Danville offers a wonderful year round monthly weekday preschool performance series for preschoolers and their families and caregivers. The monthly entertainment are top notch performers that everyone can fully enjoy watching inside the Village Theater. It gives a chance for your wee ones to sit and watch live performances with other kids the same age and encourages them to learn and enjoy watching live performances. The ticket cost is an incredible deal for $5/person. You can buy online from the theater website without a service fee if you request your ticket(s) to be sent via email or text message. The shows start on time and last about an hour. And with the new, expanded free public parking lot next the Village Theater it is also easy to park.Accessibility Friendly — Besides plenty of handicapped parking spaces outside, there are ramps and wide aisles inside the theater to easily push a stroller or get around in a wheelchair/ walker.

Theatre was nice, not too big, but plenty of room. It was FREEZING in the theatre, everyone near us was complaining, too. We kept our winter coats & gloves on throughout the show. Interesting artwork on the walls & tables in the foyer for sale - we thought it was too pricey, but someone must be buying it. Bathrooms were clean & lines very reasonable. The particular show we saw was not impressive. A showcase of various performers who varied widely. Teen group singing a musical number was great, jazz singer with accompanist was excellent. Stand up comedy opening the show was unfortunately quite bad. Not funny, felt badly for the comic, whom the host said was a regular at the theatre. Improvisational comedy performers were very hit or miss. One performer was the host, who hogged the entire show & this segment, too. He overpowered the other two performers & it wasnt enjoyable to watch. Free parking on site & in the street is convenient and adequate. Rating the theatre itself at 4. Wouldnt be fair to base rating on a particular show.

We went to the Comedy show Jan. 10, 2018it was a lot of fun. The Comedians were very funny. The Art exhibit was very interesting. They also had a table with snacks. A gentleman poured a small glass of wine for a donation. Well probably go every month now.

The danville village theater is like my second home. It might not be as fancy as an incredable broadway theater, but to a lot of people it dosent matter, what does matter is the magic that people make on stage and the friendships people make back stage. Its hard to describe the feeling walking into the theater, but it is amazing! And watching TV will never replace live theater. If your arent into being on stage, I would defenitly recomend watching it in the audience cause our productions are amazing. If you want to watch kids having the best time of there life and finding there passion, Id watch KAOS camp productions. There is only one bad thing I can see in the theater the lobby used to be a beautiful art gallarey, but now it have turned into a african american museum, I really hope it changes back!

This is a small, intimate theatre with a superior resident company (Role Players). Right in downtown Danville , it shares a large parking lot with three fine restaurants (notably Faz Danville] and its lobby doubles as an art gallery. While it is a good distance from our home, this is one season subscription we will not give up.
