A wonderful Yacht Club. People there are so friendly. Live entertainment on many weekends! The bar staff is very friendly they make great drinks. Chef Joel and his crew put out some incredible food! It can get crowded especially during the summer on the weekends. But everybodys really friendly so just squeeze in and have a good time!

I was a guest of a member. Everytime we approached the bar to order a drink the main bartender rolled his eyes at us. Not only that, but he would literally get irritated with us because we were asking questions about drinks and food. He was completely unprofessional, and it felt like we were looked down at because we were only guests. I still tipped him 25 bucks because I felt sorry for him.

I was a guest of a member. Fabulous Dana Point Harbor location with 360 ocean views. Convivial U shaped bar well tended by Bartender Mike. Fresh bruchetta and wings.

DANA WEST YACHT CLUB IS A WONDERFUL, FRIENDLY PLACE. IF YOU HAVE A BOAT THERE IS NO WAITING LIST. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A BOAT THERE IS A WAITING LIST. I RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY.

Best little yacht club on the west coast!

Always such good good, and a great community. My grandma has a nice boat in the harbor, and whenever we visit, it always has outstanding food, and everyone is so nice and friendly with amazing attidues towards all.

Yesterday I was invited by a friend to attend the dinner at Dana West Yacht Club. Instead of telling my friends I thought I would put my experience of the Club here. Driving up the club was impressive. My first impression walking to the enterence of the Club I noticed we had to walk by their two big trash bins overflowing with trash and seagulls in them, not to mention smell. As you walk up the stairs there is a wooden railing to balance your self. The railing was filthy with years of black sticky stuff on it mostly from everyones hands on it. Never been washed, so the first thing I did was make a bee line to the mens room to wash my hands. The mens room was neat and clean. The next thing I noticed was loud anoying music from the radio played over what sounded like car speakers played to loudly. The acustics in the dining hall reverbarate all around and just makes it that more distorted.You have to be a mind reader in the dinning hall. No one greets you to tell you the rules, so by trial and error we learned we had to go to the bartender and place our order which we did and got a buzzer. When my buzzer went off I went to the food to pick it up. I told the cook my buzzer when off and he looked at me like a deer in the headlights. I saw several dinners ready, but did not want to take anothers food. I asked which was mine and he asked what did you order? I told him and he said well there is one there, amoungst the other dinners prepared. During dinner, no one asked us how things were going. By watching others we learned we had to buss our own table. Just like McDonnalds. I wish I had known that earlier. The place was extreemly loud compounded the the dirty dishes endlessly crashing in the bins for cleaning. They were droped not placed. I dont know who was doing that. Not one employee had a smile their face. The womans bathroom required the ladys to walk down a hall of shame. Along bins of dirty dishes, brooms mops, etc.. and behind the kitchen. The new remodling has much to be desired. The staff clearly works for a pay check and not for customer satisfaction. Consider Dennys next time you want to eat there. Although you might miss the nice view of the boats on the one side of the room, at least at Dennys some one checks on you, vs. avoiding you. And have I mentioned food yet?
