Amazing place. My 10 year and 8 year old, both enjoyed all the four floors in the museum. They have a sports centre on lower level for older kids and play area for preschoolers. They had sanitizing stations every where and we saw the staff cleaning the stations every now and then. Social distancing was maintained and everyone was with Mask On all time..Highly recommend

This place is really cool. Great for kids but I loved it just as much even though I went by myself as a 32-year-old. They have an impressive collection of gemstones and crystal. Definitely worth dropping by if youre in the area. I recommend doing this and the Dallas Museum of Art together on the same day. Pay for parking all day in their $10 parking lot, then walk over to the Dallas Museum of Art.

Truly enjoyed this science museum. Very well done. We visited on the passport exchange program with our local science museum. While some of the exhibits, like the sports exhibits, were the same, many were different and kept our young teens interested and occupied. My husband and I enjoyed several of the new-to-us exhibits, too.

I took my niece here before Covid and she loved it. She was three at the time but they have an interactive section for children. The staff had small tables where they would talk about a certain phenomenon or nature fact to a level that my niece could understand. Our favorite part was the section that had prosthetic and disability aids, which were an eye opener and how technology can indulge our lives. I loved the experience!

If I could give our experience today ten stars I would. We had to make reservations online due to Covid and social distancing, which made it a seamless process to get in and not crowded. They took out some of the hands-on experiences and have the theater closed but still have plenty of enjoyable things for the entire family, including the littlest ones. Thankfully the childrens area was not packed due to the limited numbers with reservations, which made it so much more easier to handle. Plus all the staff there is so friendly.

First off, the NICEST staff Ive ever encountered! Second, even with COVID, they are handling everything exceptionally well. Hand sanitizer stations every 20 feet or less & they hand you a personal sided spray one at entering. There are monitors to make sure people are using their masks correctly as well and reminding people to keep social distances. SO many more exhibits open than I thought there would be which was a delightful surprise. Great exhibits, even for the two teenagers that I brought. Wonderful experience and very reasonable costs!

I definitely found my visit here to be engaging and stimulating. One of the factors that I have enjoyed about my repeated visits is that the displays, hands--on demos and learning material 9s dynamic. Constantly featuring new content, the museum gives the individual a reason to visit again and find new exciting things about which to learn. The interesting architecture of the building contributes to the museum goers overall sense of immersion into the the different realms, scientific fields of discipline and history. Whether you are interested in life sciences, cosmic phenomenon or natural history, youll likely find something that piques your curiosity.

Smack-dab in downtown Dallas, it has 5 levels and they start you out at the top level where you work your way down. Expect to spend as much as an hour at each level. We got there at noon and stayed until closing at 5, and still didnt do everything we wanted to. Most exhibits are geared toward age 8 and up, but the lower level has a childrens museum geared toward the younger kiddos. Lots of interactive, hands-on electronics & robotics on the 2nd level. There was plenty for my kids to do (ages 6, 4, and 20 months, all girls). We were there 9:45 am to 3 pm and they were busy the whole time. They didnt want to leave. The 6 yo loved the LEGO exhibit; we ended up splitting up so the 4 yo and 20 mo could play in the Childrens Museum until the 6 yo was ready to join them. Then lunch outside, interspersed with the kids playing in the outdoor playground/splash pad. Then we went back inside and started with Floor 4 and worked our way down. We skipped the birds (Floor 5) because we didnt think wed have enough time and the rocks/gems (Floor 3?) because most of the displays were too high for the kids to see in. Otherwise, we hit pretty much everything. My personal favorite was the interactive topographical map; you could move the sand to make deep waters or high mountains and the computer read the distance and projected a color-coded map onto it. I think my kids favorite was the dinosaur dance; you stood under a camera and it read your movements and made the dinosaurs on the screen dance accordingly. We were all exhausted when we got home, but I told my husband we need to buy an annual family membership.
