Very interesting and well laid out library. There’s lots to learn about more than just 9/11 but that exhibit is also humbling to remember everything that happened prior and after. Employees were VERY friendly and knowledgeable. Gift store is a little pricey. Also, thank you for the military discount. Try to go around Christmas time to see all the beautiful decorations and trees.

This is a great place for museum lovers. The entry fee is 21$ for single adult person. But the proceedings go to maintenance of the museum. They successfully created an atmosphere to make us think that he is the Messiah in this world and the father of USA. Upcoming politicians should visit this place to understand how failures can be documented in a way that people will understand that his successes and failures were because of the decisions he made , which was guided by the principles he was brought up with. Finally the exit via museum stores to buy souvenirs.

Folks, this is American history. This is a worthwhile place to visit and get a small picture of what it was like to be the president of a country that experienced one of the greatest crises in the history of this country. We were here at Christmas time and, on the lighter side of things, enjoyed the giant Christmas tree with ornaments designed by each national park. These are the real ornaments that were on the White House tree during one of the Christmas seasons while George W. Bush was POTUS.

Weve been to most of the Presidential Libraries and this one was one of our least favorite. The displays were visually well done but lacked the depth of information required to give the full perspective of the events. This was the first Presidential Library that we had to pay to park and the parking lot is across SMU Blvd from the library. It was very cool that you can sit where you like in the replica oval office. If this review was helpful to you please give it a like.

Excellent Presidential library in the heart of Dallas. The amount of visitors underscores how much President Bush was loved and is still admired. Knowledgeable staff, so much so they are almost too much -- kind of like the grandparent that cant stop reminiscing. I did find admission cost and refreshment costs excessive. Also, no leniency when closing time comes -- they will escort you out.

It’s a beautiful presidential library with so much to read, observe and do. I had admission through the Dallas CityPass, which is major savings. I also got there at opening and was able to park across from the library for $5, so major savings on parking. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Especially enjoyed the replica Oval Office and 9/11 exhibit. Also the vid with the family as it was just really warm. Lasting impression: grand!

Apparently once you get inside the place is great from the other reviews but the parking and staff are really hurting the place for people visiting from out of state and our fellow disabled Americans.I’m a college student and tried to make a day out of visiting the campus and touring the library and museum. I didn’t.They raised the price from $13 to $18 without updating the website information. They then told me to come back when the new exhibit is closed and it will return to $13. Brought exact change with me for obvious college related reasons so I didn’t go.Also the parking is paid and they don’t take cash only cards. I was told the only free parking available was at the train station across the highway and probably a quarter mile away. There is no direct entrance to the museum from the highway, so you have go through the campus and dodge and weave a bunch of college students to get to it.Can’t comment on the inside but outside looked good. Also the gift is pricey.

I haven’t been to any of the Presidential Libraries before today. This one was as expected with a procession of video, storyboards and photographs capturing the major events. Lots of emotions during the 9/11 stirred during the section. There are 2 sides one for 43 and the other featuring First Ladies. Both were well done and informational. There are no recorded tours however you get quite a bit of info. This is a little bit out of the way and off the beaten track. Totally worth it.On a college campus, you walk in to a gorgeous, high ceiling atrium and purchase your ticket. One side dedicated to George W. Bush. Currently, the other side is a tribute to all the first ladies. It was completely fascinating to learn about how young George grew up, the path to his presidency and then his presidency. The tour is self-guided. Its a small library and there is a short film at the beginning. At the end, you walk into a replica up of the oval office, complete with a photographer to take your picture behind the desk.To exit, you meander through a small gift shop. There is a cafe, I didnt get a chance to explore that.

The parking was very limited across the street unless you owned an electric/hybrid cars as they had way to many spots reserved for them. But people started parking in them as well otherwise you had to park in the college parking garage which was even further and it wasnt like they had recharging units by them, just a perk. It was also not easy access for handicap person as the main parking lot was in 300 ft away with no pickup or drop off available close to the front doors. We went to the museum today (10/12/18). We have been to nine of the 13 presidential libraries sanctioned by the National Archives. We have also been to eight that aren’t. This is the ONLY one that we have had to pay for parking. That left a bad taste in my mouth. They also have a security checkpoint which many of them have. The attitude of these guys though left another bad taste in my mouth. One guy in particular made me feel like a criminal. He told me to empty my pockets of all metal items. I did. Afterwards he said “you don’t have a wallet”? I put my wallet in and then he asked (not nicely) what’s in your pocket? I pulled out my handkerchief, eye drops, and chapstick out and he rudely told me to put them in the tray as well. After this, I was really ready to leave. Customer service should start with security.About the museum...Whether or not you liked Bush as president, you will probably leave knowing that he and Laura are good people that care about others and care about our country. You can’t ask for more. The volunteers were very nice and knowledgeable. A lot of attention was given to those accomplishments that were great, but they did offer some information on his shortcomings. They all are like this as they should be. Overall, in my opinion, the library is very well done.

Love it! I used to love this president and fiercely defended he and his family. No that he has taken such a negative stance against the current sitting president, I have completely changed my view. Very disappointing that so many politicians still believe they are telling voters what to do.

Inside the building was great. Lots of helpful people and interactive displays. Enjoyed everything inside. Couldnt understand the front desk clerk at all. Not sure what he ask but I got in for $19. Seems rather high priced and also had to pay to park. Outside the building looks like its been abandoned. Tall grass and weeds and small trees everywhere. Maybe this was done on purpose for some enviormental reason but it doesnt help the appearance one bit. I would go again but cant give 5 stars.
