We searched for walking trail for dogs and this came up Its definitely not for pets but has everything for kids. Pretty cool pool area with slide, nice size playground area, 2 Baseball fields, soccer field (not on best condition), good parking and porta-potties. Picnic area too. Lots of grass area to play around

Plenty of trails and wildlife (mostly birds, squirrels, and fish). I walk my dog off leash on most of the trails until I see other people nearby. Great way to check out the Northern Virginia wetlands.

Nice baseball fields for older kids junior league, and a softball field .has basketball courts. Playground for little kids. A really nice swimming pool didnt open this year because of covid

Kr
Review №4

Nice playgrounds for both younger kids (ages 2-5, according to the sign on the equipment) and older kids. Pictured is the equipment for the littles. My guy (19 months) wasnt quite ready for the taller sections of the equipment, and the baby slide was a bit too little for him. He loved playing in the grass, though!

Large clean local park. The playground equipment is decently maintained and there is a nice amount of shade from the sun.

Nice park. But we got lost because there arent any maps along the trails. Little dangerous in the heat with a baby. Maybe post some ways out?

Minus a lingering fox...it was alright for spectators. The players complained about the tall grass and unkempt field (bumpy surface).

The park is clean. Parking is free. The playground is nice. The hiking trails are peaceful. There is a baseball diamond, basketball court and room to play soccer. Also a water park in season.

This park is unassuming but recently had a makeover to the playground to a more contemporary look and feel. Also, has two separate play areas for bigger kids (6+) and the toddlers (2-5).

A county maintained park with two ball fields and an excellent water park. The ball fields are mostly used by local school age children. One of the ball fields is quite a walk from the parking lot. A lot of people grumble but nobody complains. The water park is open during the summer season and definitely worth a visit.

Awesome public park with a baseball field, softball field, basketball courts and 2 playgrounds (one for toddlers another adjacent for kids) It has picnic tables and benches right by the jungle gym for parents to take a break while still supervising! Large parking lot with close, access to a paved path leading to the playground. The main drawback with this park is the lack of bathroom facilities... it does have a port-o-potty. Best of all...There is shade!!!

Usually lots of kids playing. Nice equipment. I gave it 4 stars because there were multiple bottles on the ground and..no restrooms. Only a portable booth by the baseball court.

Very nice part to take the kids and family. Has lots of space to keep your kids busy, it includes a basketball court, soccer field, baseball field, small water park and trails. The way the park looks from the street is a little deceiving. But its really a gem and its in my neighborhood. My family and i love it and recommend it.

I enjoy the many trails - its a great place to walk the dogs. I do wish someone would replenish the bags at the pet waste stations. I noticed that these have been empty at the Portland Av entrance and also at the main park entrance for a few months. But other than that - its a wonderful park!

We went to the waterworks water park/pool. My son and his buddy had a blast (theyre 7 and 8 y.o.).Even though it was quite crowded that day, I still found a shady spot to sit and relax while the boys played. I would also like to note that the lifeguard staff was some of than most diligent lifeguards Ive ever witnessed. We were there several hours, and I watched them closely, they stayed on task and were observant beyond my expectations. I was Very impressed. There is also a snack bar and other refreshments available.

Review №42

A nice park for the kids with new equipment (replaced in 2015). The baseball fields and picnic areas are well maintained, but the basketball court and soccer field could use some work. A public toilet with running water would be nice, but for now it only has a porta-potty. Parking is shared with the water park, so finding space can be a challenge during peak hours.

Horrible park! They have the chairs on top of grass which means you have to get your feet muddy or full of grass. You cannot get in the water if you have a shirt or beater on, WHY?! They made my grandma get out of the water because she had a T-shirt on. They didn’t even let her sit on the side.Horrible place. The food is nasty and not cheap. Even the dipping dots ice cream is bad, $4.00 for the smallest dipping dots ice cream I have ever seen!
