Worked here long ago. To get started working here, the process is quite expensive. You must pay for the FBI and DOJ background checks twice. This can run about to $150 or so depending where you get your checks from. Then the training class is about 4 hours long and got paid 12 an hour. Eventually after passing nearly all the tests, you must pay for blue shirts, undershirts, slacks, and dress shoes out of pocket. Although Acme will offer 35 dollars towards clothes, which pays for maybe 1 shirt. The training program is fairly easy - especially if youre already familiar with card games. If you have zero experience in card games, it may be difficult because nearly every class starts off with 20+ people, and by the last week, its usually only 5 people left. As long as you practice and put in the time, it will get easier. Additionally, theres also a badge fee that cost $1,500 out of your own pocket. Acme offers a portion of that taken out of your paycheck so you wont have to pay all at once. And I do not recommend paying for it all at once. After you work here for a year, they will reimburse you $500 after paying off your badge. However from my experience, 90% of the people that work here will be gone in less than 1 year from various reasons. So once again, do not pay for the full badge fees upfront. For the most part, co-workers and supervisors are chill. Like Cheap_Gorilla said, you will eventually learn to handle their occasional power trips from supervisors. Yes there is favoritism involved, so work your magic. Gain some juice with the higher-ups and you may get preferred (aka easy) tables. Also you will need thick skin to work here. You will be dealing with a variety of people with a variety of personalities. If you work overnights - especially on Fridays and Saturdays, you will be exposed to a lot of loud drunk people. Typically, most players will bad mouth dealers and not the bankers. But it may still affect you just by observation. So keep your stress levels in check and learn to control your emotions. I cant tell you the amount of times I wanted to knock out a player. You dont get traditional raises here. You get a raise by learning new games. The peak is getting to VIP tiles level, where your pay should be a bit above 20+ an hour. Remember this is a high stress environment, so if you got thick skin, you can make it. Furthermore with the extremely high turnover rate here, that means you have lots of opportunity to climb the ranks of assistant supervisor, supervisor, senior supervisor, and so forth. In the years I been working here, I seen 90% of my class disappear. I seen new faces every year. Every year is different, and in 5 years, nearly the entire staff of employees are different. I seen numerous amounts of supervisors come and go. With this much volatility, you will have a number of opportunities to rise in ranks if thats your goal.Lastly, if youre a transient like 90% of the bankers here, dont be too serious. You will last longer that way. Also these figures are from many years ago, so things may be a lot different now. After working here for so long, I learned a lot and made a ton of friends. I can also say I seen a lot of dirt, mostly from the casino side during my time. Im sure a lot of it is still going on, but not here to expose that. Although this review may seem critical, I want to emphasize that I do recommend transients to work here.

Good job. Nice co workers and management is helpful. First you get 4-7 weeks paid training and I was able learn everything. I was ready to go on the floor after my training. Now I sit in an A/C room all day and get paid $15. Easy job.

So far Ive been in training for a week, just passed my first test. Been training with Tucker, and hes great - he knows the material, he does a great job teaching the class, hes always willing to answer questions, and hes polite and friendly so you never feel bad about not understanding a concept.Theres another review where they seem to have had a very bad experience at ACME, and Im not going to argue against their review other than by stating that their review is almost completely opposite what Ive experienced and I believe ACME deserves 5/5.Up to now, Im amazed by ACME and definitely recommend applying. Ill update this review in the future as I go through training and start working full time.

If you want a good job, stay away from this place. Dont waste your time here! If ACME hires you, ️you get paid only $10.50/ hour, only 4 hours per day from Monday through Friday the job training 4 weeks. Then you get paid $14/hour if you passed all 3 tests ( in 3 weeks) during the training time. You have to pass 1 test each week. If you fail the test, ACME will terminate you right away! The chance that you are going to pass the test is very small, 20% only !The class is always started with 20 students and ended up with 4 students at the end. Unfortunately Monica is the one who will train you. She is a horrible teacher. She doesnt know how to teach! Plus she doesnt care about helping you to pass the test.Monica is the rudest person who I ever met ! She has no class, unprofessional and has no respect to the students. Monica works for ACME just because of pay check . She spent most of her time to check email or text. She goes through the materials with you for 20 minutes. Then she expects that you have to get it! She always pretends to ask you that you have any questions? If you have a lot of questions, Monica will look at you weird ... she will make you feel like you are the stupidest person on earth . If you have nothing to do, you want the free game lesson, then ACME is the place for you.If you want to have a good job, please dont waste your time at ACME!
