This is one of the most beautiful places to see live music. It is tucked back in the woods and trees surround the whole place. Which would be good enough to earn it a five star rating even if it didn’t have amazing food (great vegetarian options to boot), and phenomenal drinks (whether you like beer, wine, or something else you’ll be smitten). I would absolutely recommend coming here!!

Blossom is a jewel in the crown of Northeast Ohio! While I did not regularly start going to Blossom until I was in my 30s, over the past few summers I have gone a good number of times. Some outings are for rock concerts while others are for The Cleveland Orchestra. As such, I have seemed to notice there are kind of 2 sets of rules, of which I completely understand. If you are going to a rock concert you are treated like an animal. Bags are searched, not allowed to bring this or that in. I get it. Comes with the crowds and the drinking in the parking lot before hand.If you are going during a Cleveland Orchestra event you can bring in wine, coolers of food, chairs, and nobody scrutinizes you.Basically, it is always good to go on their web page to see what you can or can not bring during any given performance you are thinking about attending. The staff seem generally nice, helpful, and do a great job of keeping the grounds clean and beautiful.Blossom is a special and unique outdoor music venue that should be appreciated for being in our backyard.

Great place to see a concert. Sure want to get the early if you want to be first in line to get in the gate, this really applies to those with lawn seats. Sound is amazing because of the shape of the hillside. Also in case any of you go, you can take sealed containers of food, place it in a clear gallon bag, one per person to help save on food costs. Plus a bottle of water per person.

Im sure, arent you? that Blossom Music Center has made good use of the time theyve been closed to clean everything very well. To put up adequate parking lot and pathway lighting. To carve additional entry/exit roads out of the surrounding land. Right? If not, theyve wasted a perfect opportunity to solve the main complaint of attending events at their facility. We can count on them to work on ridiculous food and drink prices during the next pandemic.

Spread out blankets and beach chairs (could have rented beach chairs for $5). Brought snacks! Started at 7:30. Ended by 10:30. Had intermission to use bathroom. Great experience all around!! Ahh, Blossom. One of my favorite venues for live music in the summer. The lawn is great, but the pavilion is absolutely stunning. The woodwork is just gorgeous and the sound is great. Plenty of restrooms and concession stands. Only downside is the drinks are a little more pricey than other venues, but I wouldn’t let that discourage anyone from going to see a show here. The staff and administration are extremely competent and considerate of visitors of every age and circumstance. Consumer safety and cleanliness are paramount. There are beautiful gardens and picnic areas as well as restaurants, a gallery and gift shop. The acoustics and terrific and each outing is sure to be one that is memorable for people every age. Cleveland Orchestra concerts at Blossom are always an enjoyable experience for music fans of all ages. The lawn is a good experience for casual fans, while the pavilion seating is great for those who truly want to experience the music without distractions.Especially fun for families are the movie soundtrack events, such as the Empire Strikes Back performance this weekend. Opportunities abound for photo opportunities, and they are a great event for just people-watching.A tip: Go extra early and youre likely to be able to park in a paved lot. Exiting from the paved lots is much more efficient than the grass lots. The gates open 2 1/2 hours before the show.

I have been to several outdoor venues but this one was my least favorite. You have to walk nearly a mile once you park. There was only one entrance and exit so traffic was a mess. The band we saw was great but we couldn’t see them. We got their early to try to get a good seat on the grass but the big pavilion made it nearly impossible unless you were right in the middle or down front. Let me start by saying, whoever runs sound knows what theyre doing. Music is very clear, even seated in the lawn or walking around the food/drink stands.Getting in is easy. Getting out is tremendously difficult. Its a complete free-for-all when youre parked in the grass lots.Restroom facilities are relatively clean for such a large venue. There are plenty of food/drink options to choose from, but the prices are BEYOND exorbitant at most of the stalls. Its very hard to justify buying a tiny $8.50 funnel cake or a roughly 12oz draft in a plastic cup for $17 (these are just some examples). To sum it up, its a pleasant music experience but with recommendations: eat/drink before arriving or as youre parked, and plan either to leave well before the concert ends, or well after it ends. Otherwise youll probably have a rough time.PS. This is a rock concert experience. I cant speak yet on the difference between this and an orchestral experience.

We always have a great time at Blossom no matter what band we see. From front row tickets to the back of the lawn its always fun. The only negatives are the excessively high drink prices & traffic challenges when exiting post show from the grass lots but both are manageable with some pre planning. Pre show tailgating is a blast.

Review №65

First, the positives:1) The venue is in one of the most beautiful and unique settings in the country. If memory serves me correctly. It is the only large concert venue inside of a National Park.2) The lawn seat option makes ticket prices, at least, somewhat affordable. Depending on the artist, a lawn seat ticket may be around $20 - 35.3) They upgraded the sound system for the lawn seats around 2014. The music used to sound like it was being played through speakers that were bought at a K Mart. Now, the music and vocals are crystal clear. Now the negatives:1) The downside of Blossom being in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is that there are only 2 entrances/exits. Unless you arrive or leave really early, expect to sit in traffic for 30 - 60 minutes.2) You do have a free parking option, but you literally have to walk a mile to get to the gate. You can buy a parking pass for $20, which I think is crazy.3) People tend to tailgate before a concert, which involves drinking a decent amount of either pop or beer. There are no bathrooms at the parking lots. They do have 3 portable toilets near the gate. The wait is usually incredibly long and the toilets are gross, especially for women.4) I understand the need for increased security. They started using metal detecting wands this year. However, I hope they use the off season to address how to do it more efficiently next year. It now takes 10 - 20 minutes to get through the lines.5) The bathroom situation isnt much better once you get inside. There are only 3 bathrooms with 10-12 stalls. When 20,000 people are attending a concert, that is woefully inadequate. Quicken Loans Arena seats roughly the same amount of people. They have 6 similarly sized bathrooms... just in the Upper Level! All in all Blossom Music Center is good place to see a concert. If they would at least add more bathroom access, because its a public health issue, then Id bump my rating up to 5 stars.

Not even to the drunk guy who fell over and couldnt get up way before we got to the gate. Dont think we will be headed back unfortunately.
