I absolutely love love love this place! Its one of the very few places that has live lounge entertainment and its always fantastic! The ambiance is comfy and the owner is just awesome! Definitely a must for anyone looking for a place to get good entertainment (and FREE!) and great environment!

My favorite. Absolutely LOVE these guys. Food is always good and fresh and you cant beat the price for the quality of food that you get. Their delivery fee on grubhub is a little high but I dont mind paying it because I am literally never disappointed with my order unlike other places which shall remain unnamed.

Great local business with delicious Ethiopian & Eritrean food. Ordered take-out for Fathers Day & got a free bottle of wine too. Salmon & lamb entrees were amazing, and owner incredibly friendly too!

Extremely Slow service I order in advance and I order 30 mins ago once I arrived they said 10-15 mins even though in advance online. It was only 2 items and took a long time then the time they said. The place wasn’t busy at all and I was the only person there.

Went on a random Wed night, met with a great live jazz band and of course, the food!!!! I had the Doro Wat and my cousin had the lamb and it was so good! Great portions, delicious flavours, the meat was juicy and tender and the service was wonderful! Our server was personable, funny and really showed interest in our experience. He even offered me rice since the injera he had has gluten in it (although if you call ahead they can get gluten free injera made). I will definitely come back!

I went early afternoon for a vegetarian meal. It was so good. The owner I believe was very kinds and allowed us to just enjoy our food in peace. He was attentive without being overbearing. I will go again

I love this place!!! Owners and staff are extremely friendly. Food is solid and tasty. We had the Doro Wat and Zil Zil, with lentils on the side. Great combo, food came out hot and with a big smile! Also had a sweet potato with cinnamon, honey, and spices at the end. Perfect way to end the night. They also had live Jazz, starting around 8:30. Highly recommend

Amazing atmosphere, amazing service, this was my first time trying Ethiopian food and I fell in love, absolutely an amazing experience. As well as the live music not only sounded beautiful at set a great mood to the environment but it complimented the meal.

Below average flavors for their Ethiopian food, stick to the places on Fairfax. Also glacially slow service, never get any water refills and had to wait a long time to flag the guy down for extra injera.

I had the vegetarian plate, which was good, the salad my wife had was a good size, fresh, tasty. The ethiopian beer is a must try. Very unique flavor. Crisp and light. The house red was fruity but not too sweet. Our companion had the Zizi beef. Very tasty. The carrot cake tasted home-made. Of course, the ethiopian coffee was delicious as well, with whole milk no less. The entertainment was lively and talented.

Just move to the area, and Im definitely going to go there often... Great good, great live bands, nice atmosphere.

The Industry Cafe and Jazz is a great place to grab a drink and listen to music. Ive been to the Wednesday night jam sessions and heard some great music. I recommend the relaxed atmosphere and the time machine quality of being in a 1950s jazz club. Dont miss it.

ERITREA ETHIOPIA Eat the World Los Angeles review:If this happened to be a walkable city, there could be a romantic start to this article about how the smells of injera bread and savory Eritrean stews combined with notes of live jazz to pull in customers from the street. After finishing a delicious meal here, with the band already well into their first set, it was only during a trip to the curb to make a call that this was the actual magic of Industry Café & Jazz, even if it was only a pipe dream to imagine.Jazz does indeed waft out onto Washington Boulevard nightly starting at 20:00, but passing cars certainly do not hear it or enjoy those aromas. Inside, a mashup of tables and booths and banquette seating sit underneath a mashup of sometimes music related art and sometimes not. Tchotchkes populate the bar area with undefined purpose, but an Eritrean flag is hung from the back wall very purposefully.Despite being the only customers in the beginning, it was a surprise that such a gorgeous and fresh plate of foods would arrive. Centered around a salad and on top of a layer of freshly baked injera, everything ordered was placed together to be eaten communally. A basket of smaller pieces of rolled up injera arrived at the same time, the intended utensils of any meal. Break off small hunks of this and scoop up everything with your hands. There is something to be said about this way of eating, these colors, these textures, and the communal plate. There is a connection to the food, and to the friends or family around you. The feeling cannot quite be pinned down while eating, but an appreciation for everything can be overwhelming.

My husband and I were looking for a date night spot tonight and decided to check this place out mainly because it features live jazz! We really enjoyed the music and were introduced to some new dishes! The people here are really nice and the music sets a great atmosphere if you love jazz and we do. We were able to sit in with the band for a couple of songs and it was a blast! Really made our night! Well be back!

We went for dinner on a Wednesday night. Food was really good, I had the vegetarian plate. Service was a little unfriendly at the beginning. Will try again on a weekend when they have live music.

This Cafe has great live events and live music. I was fortunate to be here on . Tuesday Night Open Mic evening, and the performers where excellent. I had the Lamb dish, and it was delicious and flavorful! The side dishes was tasty as well. A full foodie experience with great entertainment!!! I will be back!!!

Really like Ethiopian food, then this is a great choice. Been coming here for years and the food is still as good as it was when I started. I usually end up with the vegetarian platter, friends have had the meat dishes as well and they are all good to go.give it a shot, youll be very pleased you did.

Wednesday nights are filled with lively jazz from local artists, featuring the Rose Gales. Tonight was an extra treat, receiving live acoustics from Gina Earl Jazz with their eclectic original songs featuring Bob Lee on bass guitar and Regina Earl on the Ukulele. Perfect date night for shared, sexy, West Indian Cuisine and live music.

I like this place because of the talent.. But the sound system is old.... the mircophones and the wires are trash... they need to temporarily invest in new sound equipment.... The band however is great once they do find a vibe, however, still amateur in what they know musically or can play.. Overall i place this at a 3 stars... the food great for sure.. I need them to focus on upgrading..

The staff is sooooo wonderful! Love the owner! They have a few vegan options that I adore including the vegetable platter and red beans & rice (Im obsessed). On Tuesdays they open their venue to an open mic event held by @thepocketla. Ahmazinggg. Best open mic band ever and the vibe is a perfect, judgment free, creative space.

A friend of mine told me about this place and how they have live music tuesday nights with jazz playing. Not many places have food and live music let alone jazz so i had to check it out, the dinner i had was delicious the food had a great homy feeling and some really unique flavors it was amazing. the musicians who came that night were full of energy and changed the whole dynamic of the room depending on the song they played i havent been able to stop talking about this place and will be back soon!

I love this place! The owner is super welcoming, the food is good and there is live music several nights a week. There is a room in the back with a bar and couches for private parties as well. There is a hometown vibe and they really make you feel welcome.

Me and wife are regulars here. They have really good live music on some week nights. One of my go to restaurants for good Ethiopian food.My personal favorite is the spicy chicken tibisi. Owners are very nice people and offer very good service.

Hi from @indianrockvegans, we stumbled upon Industrial Cafe & Jazz, after taking in Queen and Adam Lambert at the Hollywood Bowl. Googled late night Ethiopian which led us to this Jazz Joint. Rolled in just after midnight hungry.The food was amazing, for those Whole Food Plant Based Vegans, looking for food and great music in a nice space check it out. Very little oil in the veggie platter. Desert, candied yams, in a camarilzed brown sugar sauce and blueberries. Serendipity. Loved the place.
