I cannot say enough good things about this place. Bought a bike a couple months ago only got to ride it a couple times and ended up with a flat tire. Told the group at the store and while being busy they took me in right away and got it fixed in a matter of minutes. Thank you to that team I am very grateful I will have a bike for this holiday weekend!

Steve and Jake were incredibly helpful, the bike that I was looking for was out of stock but I signed up to get a message when it came back in stock. when it came back in stock i got a text that said they would hold it till the weekend, so i came in a few days later and test drove the bike. they even stayed a bit late to help me figure out how to change gears. within 30 minutes I had walked in test drove the bike and was checked out and on my way. friendly! fast! helpful!

A late review but I wanted to give a shout out to a good experience. I took my Trek into SC last August for a tune up. The staff was curious, knowledgeable, and patient. I definitely will be doing business with them again.

Wow. Great service here! Mom who knows nothing about this bike brand called with a help I need a new chain quick request for my sons electric bike. They had me bring it in and were able to fix the chain issue for him, and put it back on for him. They even put air in the tires for us before we left. This was the ONLY bike shop willing to help us, after I called specialty shops for help. Thank you guys! He was able to use the bike and have a great weekend in the woods on the off beaten path.

Purchased a giant bike here some time ago and was having issues with seat post. Was prepared to replace part but staff took the time out of their other work to help me solve the problem without having to purchase additional parts . Got a nice used bike for $100, and they tuned it up really nice. Great staff to work with. They took me down into the basement where they have tons of used bikes, mens, womens, and children. Highly recommended.

Staff is super friendly and are willing to take the time to answer any questions you have. I purchased two mountain bikes from here in last two years. I decided to go clipless last season and the staff asked if I wanted to be fitted to the bike with the new pedals. I said no I could set them up myself. I was way wrong after about a month of riding I got real bad nerve pains in my leg. So I stopped in and asked if I could get fitted to my bike. They got me in two days later for the fitting. Many measurements and adjustments later the bike fits me perfect no more pain.

So happy, grateful & pleased with the A+ service we always receive. Everyone is always so friendly, skilled & truly care about their customers every single time you walk through their door. We wouldnt buy another bike or have one serviced anywhere else!! Thank you everyone @ South Shore Cyclery for your hard work & dedication & for always being so loyal to your customers! Great bike shop with competitive prices. The staff is super friendly, and will get the time to know you, rather than just try and make a buck. My only complaint with the shop is that its not big enough, so they dont have the largest selection if bikes or clothing, but what they do have is very nice.

My bike needed a tuneup, new chain and gear cassette. They quoted me a fair price. Partway into the work they also found that my front disk brake was cracked and needed full replacement. They called to question how Id like to handle it. After this, I expected that they would charge me much more than quoted, but they had built some space into the quote. They replaced the entire front brake assembly and still charged me less than originally quoted. The bike was tuned perfectly, shift points were better than ever. Im very happy with the service and will return, and I highly suggest their work.

Good guys - nice local shop. They have a museum of all the banana seat, sissy bar, ape hanger, orange crate bikes you had as a kid. All the way back to the turn of the 20th century.

The staff are very friendly here, they have lots of bikes on hand but their accessory selection is lacking. They only carry a few brands rather than having a larger selection. I would like to see more casual rider accessories and pedal retention devices such as Power Grips rather than clip ins or plastic cages.

We came to South Shore Cyclerly after a terrible experience at another competitor. We were in the market for two, new mountain bikes. We were approached immediately by staff and he stuck with us the entire time. At no point did we feel pressured by him. He walked us through every detail of the bikes we test road and was very helpful to answer any questions we had. One bike seat didn’t quite lower enough and he went out of his way to find another seat that could lower further. After test riding six different bikes, we narrowed our search and wanted to ensure the bikes would fit on our roof rack. He took the bike outside and tested it out on the rack. He was so knowledgeable and kind to us. We felt so welcomed and comfortable. He even recommended new trails for us to explore. Needless to say, we walked out having ordered two, new mountain bikes. Staff were very helpful. My bike was making a strange sound, the staff put it on the repair stand, looked into the issue, even took it for a quick ride to diagnose. Genuine customer service. Large selection of vintage bicycles. The shops branded jerseys looked sharp.

I go here about once or twice a year because I’m a terrible cyclist who beats up his bikes. I just had some work done this afternoon and was not only shocked by how little it cost, but by how there was basically no attempt to upsell anything. This has also been the case in prior visits. Well priced, friendly professionals, and a fair policy on maintenance and trade ins. Can’t recommend these guys enough.

I can not say enough good things about this place! We have always had very good experiences with staff. We recently visited here to replace a tube on a flat tire. Later that day and a half mile into a ride, the tire went flat. We brought the bike back the next day. They inspected the wheel, put in extra rim tape and replaced the tube for free. It is inevitable your business will have some issues but it is how you handle those issues that says most about your business!

Very Awesome Service, came to store for a brake adjustment, they work on the bike right the way while i was waiting, 10 minutes later all set and done, not even that they also fix and adjust everything else , cost less than $20.00, I will always come to this place, thanks South Shore Cyclery in Cudahy

Great people here, makes a big difference as I can buy a bike anywhere. They carry Giant bikes which are nice.

Fantastic experience. Just had blown my tire, was headed to Walmart to get the parts and fix it myself, and found South Shore. They fixed it in 5 minutes and then, when I asked what type of service package could fix my shifters, they had me bring my bike in and in another 5 minutes had them working properly for no charge. These guys know what they are doing. Going back next week for a full tune up! Highly recommended for personalized, fantastic customer service with a great product.

My bike was not cleaned up when I picked it up. The mirror was dirty and the handle bars were still black with grease to the point that I had to scrub my hands a couple times to clean them up. Just a few minutes extra to clean it up before returning it to the customer would make a big difference in customer service.

The guy who did my flat on my rear tire was awesome . I bought the bike there & they are the only ones to work on it.

I rebuild and overhaul Sturmey-Archer hubs and resell them to people looking for a fantastic internally-geared three-speed experience. I stumbled across the South Shore Cyclerys eBay store, and they had a nice lot of 8 hubs. There was no buy it now option listed in the auction, but I noticed they were local and I decided to call them to ask about it. I made the call and got connected to the man in charge of their eBay sales, and asked if he could relist it with a buy-it-now option, and he agreed! He even gave me a price less than what I was asking for. I promptly bought the hubs while I was on the phone with him. We even had a chance to talk about my shop, and what I do.Extremely great experience, and I hope to buy from the South Shore Cyclery again! Thanks, guys!

Ive put over $2500 into this place in the last year and will not be returning. Both times my bike was fixed by them Ive left dissatisfied with the quality of work, and have had to adjust or fix the issue myself after paying to have it professionally remedied. The last straw was receiving my bike back with the chain anti-rattle sprocket visually bent out of square after paying $28 to fix that exact issue. After noticing the still bent part, i asked if anyone had test rode the bike to make sure it was ok and i was met with a blank stare and an uhh.. directly from the owner. A customer should NEVER EVER receive something back untested. Ever. All the negative aside there is an extremely helpful and friendly staff member whos helped me a few times. - long dark hair a pony tail and glasses and usually working the counter near the door - Shout out to you sir, you have been most helpful and friendly. The rest of the staff needs basic mechanical training and a lesson in being more personable.
