Reminds me of when I was a kid parents would drop us off at the roller skating rink we meet new people instead of being on the street its good for kids to have activities the girl I know loves going there the owner Ive met is a nice guy oh no its a healthy environment get away from the video games get some exercise theres not too many of these places around so bring your kids over there they have blades and four-wheel skates you would have to call for the price each day is different I myself think its a good place and they also have some video games the main thing is your kid isnt just sitting on a couch try it I see a lot of grown-ups doing it

Xtreme wheels is one of the only roller skating places nearby, so its a good thing that its really awesome! When we lived really close, we were here A LOT in the winter. Its pretty reasonable ($8/person and $4/skate rental) but truthfully that adds up for a family of four. But their rentals are pretty nice (I think) and its a really fun vibe! You also can bring your own skates or roller blades. I know a lot of people do parties here, too. They have private rooms and serve pizza. Their food definitely isnt healthy, but I wouldnt really expect it to be at this type of place. The rink is well maintained and its kid-friendly. They have learning skates for really young ones, and rolling v-bars as well. Staff is friendly and professional and they do fun games throughout open skate. We love this place and frequently go with family and friends. Only improvements in my eyes would be a faster credit card machine at the food bar, and healthier food options.

This is a nice skating rink. They have a huge skating floor that is well maintained. All the employees were nice and helpful.The music was appropriate for the time we were there and food was what to be expected. Overall had a great experience and plan on returning

This review is kind of hard for me to write only because my partner and I would not be skating here if it werent for the fact that Orbit Skate Center in Palatine closed in April of 2018. While it was difficult for us to try to find a replacement for our favorite skating rink, Xtreme Wheels would have been a close runner up even if Orbit were still open. The best part of Xtreme Wheels is that the owner/manager always says goodbye and thanks you as he sees you leave. Those kinds of things go along way with me. The only thing I wish were done a bit differently were the rules on the floor. It often seems that skating at Xtreme Wheels is a free-for-all: kids skating every which way, guards not addressing things they should be, and a center ring that is not clearly marked as such. I think that if some of the floor rules were enforced, the skating experience at Xtreme Wheels would be more enjoyable. Those issues aside, my partner and I do enjoy skating here even though we miss Orbit.

Great fun place to go for a day to enjoy with family & friends! The rink is very clean. The staff is friendly. They have a nice smack bar with several items. Definitely worth trying on a day off

The Disney session was perfect for our daughter! We were able to walk around the rink while she was figuring out the skates. The music was age appropriate as well. Staff was friendly and kind!

My son loved it and loved the paw patrol day. His first time skating for a 5 year old, he used the plastic adjustable skates and did pretty good. Started out on the regular skates with the plastic thing to help him stay up, but switched to the other ones after he couldnt stand up and he did a lot better. I will go back, good prices for paw patrol day and it was clean and a lot of fun for 5 year old.

This place was lots of fun! I love you can get both kind of skates and interchange them, love the little stand up helpers for the kids and the music was good too! Super fun for a date night or a family night! BUT ps your bathrooms are MEGA gross.

Great family atmosphere. Huge open rink floor with real wood. Concession stand has a good selection and homemade pizza. Fun with both a big group or just an easy date night. Better than a trip to the movie theater!

I havent been to a roller rink in a long time. It was fun! Place is clean. The kids all had fun that we were with. The music was good, and they kept the skaters engaged with games. All in all it was a good time. We will be back!

First off, John one of the employees is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He was very helpful and 10x friendlier than all of the other employees and I hope he is recognized for his courtesy.The actual facility is a bit outdated, but overall we had a lot of fun. I think investing in your own pair of skates would be good if you plan to go frequently. It was nearly $30 just to skate for one adult and one child. I didnt bother checking out the food court or games.

Had an amazing time with my family! I think the skates are kinda worn down and uncomfortable even the brakes are pretty worn down and could definitely use some maintenance. Pizza was pretty delish. Would definitely return and recommend.

They need to spray with lysol or something. Strunk to high heaven. But front guy was very friendly.

Have had my kids birthday parties here multiple times, always a great time and very well maintained. Oh and parents get to skate too so your gonna be sore the next day! Lots of fun and smiles!

Ive been here a few times for school fundraisers as well as birthday parties. The kiddo loves it and it is reasonably priced. Staff has been kind and helpful when I was there and they do wear bright colored logo shirts to identify themselves. $5 for the skate assist does seem a bit pricey but i think Ive paid the same at other places. Bathrooms are clean and concessions are okay. The music and organized skating was done well and great upbeat choices with synched lights. A good choice for a nice time!

Wonderful place to have a birthday party! My friend had her sons party here a couple weeks ago, and the party director kathy was an absolute pleasure. The rest of he staff was very helpful as well. The place is very well maintained and clean. will definitely be returning!

Went here a couple of weeks ago and am stilla little sore.Hadn’t skated on roller skates in 40 years but took 2 of my kids here anyway.This place is very nice. We rented roller skates and stayed a couple of hours. They also have inline skates available. Some people bring their own. They do have rolling guides for younger kids to help build confidence.Much like I remembered with some of the same music. There is a dj that calls out changes of direction of the skating, races, and backwards skating for a song or two to make it more fun for people that can actually skate. Rink is in great condition plenty of wall and seating around the rink and there is a concession counter.Staff was attentive and friendly.All said, we spent just under $50 for drinks, skate rental, and time.The kids did great. My ability was somewhere between Ed Norton and Ralph Kramden, basically an old man on skates.I did fall once and broke my butt but we were done anyway. A great workout and if you need more, try using a toilet with skates on.Definitely will not wait 40 years before I skate again and I think we will come here as well.

I took my daughter to a bday party she was attending. Christian, one of the staff members was super friendly, attentive and respectful.

Very laid back place. Has arcade games that u can play for prizes. Also has games to play on rink to win prizes. They have a lil concession stand with food and tables. Its not too expensive to get in. 9 dollars to get in and 4 dollars for roller blades. But u can bring ur own skates and just pay to get in. Very fun environment

Xtreme Wheels was always a great option for when I was teen, but now having a family it is equally as fun bringing them all here. I definitely miss the roller hockey rink, but its still a great time. Ask for Dean if scheduling a party.

Was here for our kids birthday party. Did the upgrade to glow room. Nothing special. Staff not very helpful, we had to help clean tables to get ready for cake and they did not help serve. You also have to pay 5$ extra per kid for the walker to help kids skate. Kids did love roller skating. Was disappointed no races or special skating except for electric slide for kids. Do not think will have party here again, but will bring kids to skate.

Decent place. Kids have fun. Some advice: have your rink monitors (or whatever theyre called) wear some sort of uniform so that the kids know they work there. Otherwise the kids just think some strange random grownup stranger is telling them what to do. Its a little creepy if you dont know that they work here.

Great place for skating, food and snacks are a little overpriced. The only issue is that its usually crowded and there are a lot of skating pros that are very annoying and make it hard to skate for beginners.

Great rink. The teenagers who work here are always friendly and Happy. Many have been here for quite a long time, which proves that its a good place to hang out! Great variety of music. Lots of recent improvements, including fun lighting, neon paint blocks on walls, new menu boards, renovated restrooms, etc. Skates are generally in good shape when you rent them. Lots of fun specials. Tip: check the calendar before you go to see what kind of special is going on.

Awesome place to come and skate. Ive been skating for 25+ years and I love going to this place. They play all types of music including old school Jam skating songs. Very clean and the staff is super friendly.

Absolutely incredible rink. The hardwood floors are smooth and even, they play current music as well as skate jam hits, the air conditioning keeps the rink cool, and employees are friendly. Xtreme wheels is my new favorite place to skate.

My daughter came home upset after a horrible experience with a staff member. Some guy middle-aged with blonde hair, who obviously hates working with children. My daughter has had issues with getting knots in her shoes, mostly due to anxiety. Instead of being helpful or understanding, HE BULLIED HER!I will update with a name as soon as I can get through during business hours. If your child complains about staff here, BELIEVE THEM!UPDATE: Your response gave zero accountability for your end. No such positive or helpful interaction happened. This is a shy student who wouldt lie like this. Make sure interactions are pleasant in the future or there will be hell raised. Thanks

It was fun while i was there but the guy running the mic was sort of mean i was going to ask if he could play a song and he interupted me saying shut up when he was sitting on his phone

This roller skating rink is fantastic! Great food and beverages. Lots of skate games and contests to spice it up in-between disco light and dj free skate. Also arcade entertainment, in an always clean skate atmosphere that is family run. Laid back but youll enjoy seeing great skaters show off their moves. If an interest, ask about their competitive inline skating program. Long history of training, competing, and winning.

Overall great price for a family on a budget. I like that its not a drug/gang hangout for teens. They make it family friendly. The music choices are pretty clean. The mix some of the top hits of today and yesterday. I do recommend getting a locker or keep valuables at home. Not like nothing happened or anything, but just to play it safe.

Dirty, and a bit boring, but other wise going in circles with the occasional game is ok. The skates are also really bad and dont stay locked.

DJ is horrible. He played what I believe to be cheer competition music the whole time! When he did play a song that was remotely familiar to any music listening audience, he cut it short! The events they have in the interim of skating are very disorganized and one can barely hear what the dj is saying; kids just doing what they want...it was a mess. However, kids do have fun because its a place where you can come and just get loose, so they get a star. But please know, it is the music that makes skating real skating. Mix up the music Mr. DJ! PLAY MUSIC PEOPLE ACTUALLY LISTEN TO.

Worth every penny

I give 5 stars because my daughtet had wonderful birthday there,BUT someone there stole my credit card number and hacked my card.Dont alow them to take your credit card and go in the room behind the bar without you there.The birthday was on Saturday evening and on Monday 5 am the bank send me email.Over $200 were spent,i didnt shop anything on Sunday.There work bunch of kids and dont trust them.

Nice and simple skate rink with small arcade area, 3 party rooms and adequate snack bar. Staff were Super nice! We were there during a family session and two parties were going on- but it was not overly crowded. We will be going again!

Good place for some fun

Great place for skating with the family, they have certain days / times for open public skating. They dont offer skate lessons. They do have roller blades and skates for rentals. For newbies, they have the skate mate as well

The skates that they rent out there are horrible my granddaughter has open wounds and blisters all over both of her feet and she can hardly walk. She said there are like metal bars inside on both sides of the roller blades that she rented..
