Was a beautiful day at the Quarry. A little disappointed in the Merry Market, thought there would be more holiday stuff. Food and beverage a little pricey too. It was good food and beverage but a little on the high side.

The area is beautiful, the fishing was great but I drove 2 hours to get there and got kicked out for bringing in my kayak, there were no signs and the attendant at the gate said nothing about bringing in our kayaks. I didnt see anything on the website about not bringing in outside watercraft but like I said very beautiful place.Thank you for the response and I completely understand why there is no outside watercraft. I did end up finding what I was looking for and I will definitely be bringing my family back here

Came here to kayak and we had a great experience! Inexpensive, and there were plenty of kayaks to go around! The beach was pretty busy, and too small for much social distancing in a crowd. All employees were young, mostly teenagers, but really nice and did their jobs well without goofing off and ignoring customers

Although no entry fee for non-CL residents, the first entrance is highly flooded with a large drain feeding into it. No idea from where, and more importantly, why. Unsure of the problems, but heard its been like this for nearly 2 years. No decent paths to walk. Picnic tables and covered area are accessible with no problem. The rest is truly SAD!Quarry is open, but didnt visit that area.

Solid food, live entertainment, and the cable park is a really great place for all levels of wakeboarding; whether youre trying for the first time, or an experienced rider! The park set up has some nice rails and kickers for advanced riders but are easily maneuverable for beginners. All together a really cool place to spend the day.

Two stars because the facility is nice and we enjoyed our time once we were able to get pass the disorganization. We asked what looked like a supervisor for guidance on renting a kayak. We were instructed to get in line where others were standing. After about half an hour we finally asked someone else who in turn stated we were in the wrong line. No apology or attempt to correct. We pretty much had to get our name behind others that came in after. I would of understood if they were short staffed. At any given time there was 4-5 employees sitting down not doing anything. Lazy! They need some better leadership and ability to delegate task to employees instead of letting them sit down. We were not the only ones with this issue. Others left after figuring out they waited for nothing. Please improve training.

What a disappointment was not able to take friends and family fishing due to high water. The park looks run down has been flooded for over a year now. What a waste of tax payers money to build such a nice park to let it sit flooded? The water is not going anywhere not sure who planned it but maybe it’s time to call army core of engineers? Welcome too 3 Oaks were under water and doing nothing to remedy the problem? Pump the water out dig a drainage ditch what a waste politicians at there finest let’s just hope it goes down lol

Its been awhile since Ive been here. I thought itd be too hot, but it was incredibly beautiful and perfect weather. Theres a walking trail just off of the upper level parking lot. You can take that to a ridge that overlooks the lake. It was perfection. If you want to walk the trails, be prepared that those along the waters edge are in places flooded out. But the city seems to have cleared paths. I only walked the east side today, not sure about the west.

My family and I have been waiting in line for 40 mins to get into the beach. We understand everything going on but they should be allowing residents to get in only as of now. They way they are running the yellow wristbands just doesn’t work. You can have a group of 20 walk in and out all day without letting anyone new come in. Crystal lake residents are the ones who help pay for this beach and they should be allowed to enter the beach first

I took the kids I babysit here on Friday and they had a great time. Due to the flooding, the beach is much smaller than normal and got packed quickly. If you’re looking to come, get here as soon as they open. We had ordered food at the beach and it honestly wasn’t the best. The kids didn’t end up eating most of their food and neither did I. We will be bringing a lunch next time we come. Other than that, it was fun!

We normally love to spend a day here. I know that due to the pandemic that adjustments need to be made. Just hope the people running this read this to hopefully smooth out some kinks in what we experienced today. First, everyone needs to know this lake is extremely flooded. The boathouse is flooded, the beach is closed, only kayaks, paddleboards and canoes to rent. Which is fine, but we stood in a long line to rent a canoe, to be told to go to a different line, wait in that one, to be told to go back to the original line we were in. Bathrooms near the boathouse are closed due to flooding, signs say to go use lake house bathrooms, but once there signs say those are closed due to pandemic. You guys really need to organize. It’s pretty frustrating even though I understand this year is a crazy one. If you can’t have bathrooms, say it, don’t leave confusing treasure hunt signs leading people to a dead end. The situation with the line we waited for was something I heard other people talking about too. It wasn’t just a misunderstanding. Pretty frustrating day all around.

During the corona shutdown, this is a wonderful place to escape. My wife and I were able to get out on the water, have a beer, and enjoy the outdoors. Though all of the amenities are not available, its still a wonderful place to go. Further, right now theyre offering free parking so thats a bonus.

Great beach! Very clean well maintained! The staff is always friendly everywhere within the park. We have rented boats at the marina, we have done the paddle boards, bbq/ picnic, and fishing. The quarry cable Park for wakeboarding is so fun. $5 for parking unless you have a park membership which you can get at the village hall of crystal lake. Wish they could figure something out when there is too much rain and the lake rises/floods the beach and marina. Like put in a let out dam to put the overflow water into another area. Not sure of feasible but just a thought.

Its a lovely, albeit flooded place where you can happily bring your family for a picnic and rent kayaks and other watercraft. Its been damaged by the flood. Water is about 6 feet higher than anticipated. Not all facilities are operating. You may still as of the time of this review rent kayaks, paddle boards and canoes. Prices are $8 for residents and 12 bucks for non-residents per hour. The water is really clear and its good kayaking. Very laid back. Not super busy, as many people are deterred by the beach closure. Parking is free. There are some concessions available for purchase but very limited at this point from my understanding. Have not tried any of it. We set up a full on picnic, blew up a mattress and grilled for hours in the pavilion. Next time were bringing our own canope. Staff was very pleasant to talk to and accomodating. Zero issues. People from all over the world were cooking great smelling food all around us. Overall a great spot.

Drove 1.5 hours to get here only to be kicked out bc we didn’t rent boats from them. where does it say you can’t bring outside rafts onto the water? can’t find this anywhere online. this place is clearly all about the money. we also saw staff yelling at a woman bc she was fishing “too close to a dock” in which there was no boat. lots of rules here. not the experience we wanted at all. should’ve listened to the reviews saying this place is disorganized and rude. a truly BAD experience.
