I have been going to Tara for years, and my hair has been long, short, brunette, red and blonde, and Tara has always done an amazing job. I love going to Jon Tomas because everyone there is super friendly and helpful. Seriously, Tara is the absolute best!

I got my hair cut and colored by Michelle today, and while my hair turned out okay, I found her to be extremely rude. I had my hair cut to blunt bangs and had it dyed in February and this was the first time I was able to get into a salon since the pandemic with my work schedule. I wanted to go blonde and talk about what the process would be like as I have darker hair and know it would take lots of maintenance and time, but rather than tell me what I should expect Michelle decided to dog on the current state of my hair saying that she did not understand what was going on with it (in regard to the blonde balayage that had grown out) that it was orange and the ends were clearly awful. She then asked me when my last haircut was and when I told her it was before the pandemic, she said she could tell that I was obviously due for a cut. I decided I did not want to try for blonde with her and told her that my main goal was to grow out my bangs and get a cut to blend them into the rest of my hair. She was helpful in explaining the type of cut I should get and talked me into doing highlights to lighten my hair, but she continued to say awful things about my hair throughout my entire visit. I had previously done a temporary purple dye to my hair while the balayage was growing out and it did fade to a green color and never came out of the blonde underneath so I had already accepted that it would need to be cut out, but Michelle continued to talk terribly about it, asking if I had realized my hair was green, repeatedly saying yeahhh, its just ew, and saying my hair was lifeless and awful. I was already self conscious about my hair and ashamed that I was not able to get in sooner, but Michelle really brought it to an all new low. There is a pandemic, I work 55+ hours a week, and have not been able to give myself a proper day off in the past 3 months, and with the way Michelle treated me I wish I had never let that woman touch my hair. I do not recommend going to her unless you also want to leave on the verge of tears.

I recently got extensions with Rosalyn for a wedding & she did an excellent job, not only on the extensions but explaining how I can style and care for them to make them last longer!I then came in and had my hair and makeup done for the wedding. Rosalyn did a phenomenal job on my hair (per usual) and Julie Moore did an amazing job on my makeup! Everyone came up to me and complimented how amazing I looked & I owe it to them for making me look my very best! Thank you ladies, youre THE best!

Had my first visit with Candace at Jon Tomas and will definitely be going back! All the staff was friendly and Candace really took the time to talk with me about my hairs texture, style and what would be best for growing it to the length Id like. So happy I tried this salon and finally found Candace!!

I had the first haircut as one of last customers in the evening. She was in a hurry and finished 15-cm cut in no more than 30 minutes. I think my short hair is kind of messy. I don’t think they’re fair for customers from different backgrounds.Thanks Michael for taking me to the salon to fix it, and now it’s better.

I started to write a very long review. My hair was awful. I was only forced by my sons destination wedding in Florida to do something. Being older, 60ish, and letting it go, calling Jon Tomas was my last resort.I will keep this short, because I could write an entire article.Simply the best!No making me feel bad about how horrible it was. Patience, skill, professionalism, and tips on how to style it a week later in Florida humidity!My hair looked tremendous at the wedding.Not to sound catty, but all the youngish bridesmaids had professional makeup done, but not their hair.I think it is true that if your hair doesnt look good, you dont look good. Jon Thomas salon is amazing. I have never walked out feeling anything less than thrilled over my new style. The interior is nicely decorated and clean. I began going to Jon Tomas because it was so close to my house. However, I have continued going there because I found a great stylist. Roslyn is not only sweet but she does a wonderful job with my hair. She listens to what I want in a haircut and I trust her input, as well. She has created a mix of highlights that blends well with my hair color, but also, adds just the right amount of oomph. The friendly staff contributes to the welcoming atmosphere of the Salon.

Jon Tomas Salon is the best salon Ive ever been to. Yes, it is a bit pricy compared to places like Great Cuts but its also true that you get what you pay for. My girl, Claire, does my hair with 100% perfection every time and I ALWAYS leave satisfied. Recently, I just tried a new color with her for my hair and Im in love with it. The color and the cut is perfect. I recommend Jon Tomas Salon to anyone who has ever had a hard time finding a beautician to do your hair RIGHT. Before arriving to the salon, my hair was a disaster. I made a last-minute booking with Emily because I had an event the next day. Right when I sat in her chair i knew she knew what to do to help me. She made me love my hair again! I havent found a hairstylist that I would go back to yet in the past few years that I moved back to STL, but after going to Emily, I will definitely go back to her. I definitely recommend this salon and definitely recommend Emily!

I love the days I get to go to Jon Thomas! The staff is always super friendly and great at their jobs. They are consistently taking classes to help improve their talents and bring new style options to their clients. Stephanie is my hair stylist. All I do is walk in with a small idea of what I would like done and she not only makes it happen, but brings in her new techniques to better than I ever would have imagined! All the girls there are just great! And you can drink a glass of wine while getting your hair done, which never hurts anything :)

I was very excited to try this salon for my bridesmaids & I. This process was the least of my worries when it came to scheduling this appointment until I called to book an appointment and the receptionist Robin was VERY rude on the phone. She seemed very rushed and bothered when she picked up and then she cut me off mid sentence multiple times. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I love Stephanie. I have been getting my hair cut with her for a few years now, even though I moved to Florida over a year ago. I went to high end salons in Florida who charge $150 for a cut and dry.... I came back in town and had her cut my hair and she showed me how they destroyed the back of my hair... She is a miracle worker and fixed it. Im scared to go to anyone else... She is almost worth the $300 plane ticket for me just to come see her!!! So sweet and so talented. Always cuts my hair exactly how I want and explains her process if I ask. Not a single complaint whatsoever (except I wish she was in Florida!). I have medium long wavy hair and tricky side bangs.

She listened, asked clarifying questions, and then explained exactly what she thought needed doing. My hair colour is simply amazing, my cut too! Best blow dry Ive had since I left London. Theres also 2 other Brits working there, so this homesick Brit got a Brit fix! Love Jon Tomas! Stephanie is amazing!!!!!!

Before coming here I use to hate getting my hair cut or doing anything to it now every few months its a leisure I love and I wouldnt use another stylist ever . Very happy with my results every time

I’ve been to this salon 3 times. The last time I went my hair color came out horrible and the stylist spent over 5 hours trying to correct it. When I called the following day and said I was still unhappy with the way my hair turned out the stylist said she couldn’t fit me in her schedule for another 3 weeks. The night before she had said she would do anything to make this right. I ended up having to go to work embarrassed about how my hair looked and went on my honeymoon with ugly hair. When I was finally able to go back 3 weeks later she fixed it, but I know my hair is still damaged and has been compromised. I am very unhappy with this salon, the experience of their stylists, and the customer service they provided. The manager never contacted me about my experience. This salon hires recent hair student grads that don’t know what they are doing and can ruin your hair. Please don’t go to this salon.

I have liked the cuts and styles I have had done. I feel like the stylists listen to what you want and work with you so youre satisfied. I like the products they carry.
