It was an easy hike. The valley, rocks, trees, stream, everything was beautiful. It has lot of photo spots for a tiny hike. Very pleasant, beautiful and nature-y. And, the climax totally paysoff. Great hike!

Parking is little tricky. There is a parking before the entrance. If you pass it and think that you can park inside, then you will have to make a u turn. So make sure to park it before the entrance. The ambience is just amazing. There is no body early mornings. There is a sign for the heart shaped rock. Make a right and go down till you hear the water, then look at your right. It is just fantastic.

Wonderful hike. Love all the rock formations! The brook had very little water in it. Not enough to be flowing next to heart rock. Too dry, this time of year. Road was under construction, so beginning of trail was difficult to find. Lots of mosquitoes in the late afternoon, but werent biting us.

A short hike about 1 mile to the heart rock. Well worth it. Beautiful views along the way. Its not too hard heading there but some scrambling towards the end, to get a good view of the Hart Rock. You can rest and soak along the way in the stream that runs along the trail. Can get crowded on the weekends.Enjoy!

It is so peaceful and relaxing. There is a little bit if water on the waterfall but still really cute. The heart rock shape is gorgeous.Only if individuals would clean after themselves and take their trash with them. There was dog poop baggies around, beer cans, bottles, even face masks. Other than that beautiful.

My wife suggested that we go here because she saw photos of the Rock with the heart shape in it from her cousins pictures on IG.We love nature and beautiful scenic sites. So we made our first trip there today. We took the road trail most of the way and didnt realize we could have stayed on the dirt trail along side the creek that leads you to it until we looked it up again online. Our hike there was a very pleasant one, the forest very lush with Pine and Cedar trees, some you can tell were very old. Wild life of all sorts made the hike an enjoyable one. Our little girl loves nature as well and went along with us.When we found it, was an amazing site and well worth the hiking to around and back. Would come back again just probably earlier during the morning to avoid the heavy traffic of hikers.

Its an easy trail with a little bit of scrambling needed if you want to get to the very bottom. The heart-shaped rock is great and all but I found the scenery and surroundings much more rewarding. The entire hike is basically under a canopy of trees and if you go in the spring and summer your short hikes soundtrack will be the small stream nearby. The only issue here is the hooligans that might show up during your day hike, the limited parking, and the lack of bathrooms after you enter the trailhead.

Great hike. Tons of children and dogs. There are a lot of respectful and responsible people who pack out their trash and dog poop which is always great to see. There are little springs and watering holes if you want to cool off. Very shaded hike. We hiked at noon in July and it was very pleasant.

Absolutely beautiful hike! The scenery is gorgeous and the cascade and formation are really neat to see. I wouldnt recommend bringing young kids - the trail gets a little sketchy in some places - but it is not a hard trail to hike. The water was cool and refreshing. There were a ton of cars parked at the road but the trail wasnt really all that busy.

This was a pleasant 1 mile hike at the end you will come out over the top of it and its amazing. The hike back up was a little difficult for me because I have a foot that requires an air cast and I walk with a cane and my beagle boy Sammy pulling me along but it wasnt bad at all. There is a water fall to the right of the heart with 2 s.mall wading pools above the falls

This place is a gem. Short scenic hike. Safe if youd like to go solo. Im a scaredy cat of wildlife that may eat me so I couldnt do it. Ive never seen anything but squirrels and birdies. Great hike for dogs to come along as well. Just absolutely love this place. Also a great place to sit and think, to be inspired and write something. Which I did and will share in a photo...remembering a time I went there with him. When theres snow, make sure you wear some spikes, at the end of the hike, I slipped and sprained my ankle. After hike, lake Arrowhead village shop is a few minutes away for some food.

Wow!!!! This place was beautiful, everything about it was amazing, from the trail to the sounds of water (except for the bugs). I found the heart rock at the end of my hike and it looked beautiful. I stayed there for 30 minutes just listening to the water and then took thr trail back to my car. Its a very easy and very short trail for beginners like me.

Such a beautiful hike!! Ive been wanting to hike this trail for about 3 years and we finally made it up for Mothers Day. We loved it!! Definitely bring water and use the bathroom first, as there are no facilities nearby, and remember a couple nature courtesy rules:TAKE ONLY PICTURES, LEAVE ONLY FOOTPRINTS.1. Pack it in, Pack it out. If you bring trash, food wrappers, water bottles, pet waste bags, etc, take it back out of the forest with you and dispose of it properly when you leave.2. Enjoy it, dont destroy it. Graffiti here is heartbreaking (pun totally intended). Save your tagging for the fence in your own back yard where no one else has to see it. Dont spoil the beautiful scenery here with spray paint or carving into a tree! Preserve it for those following in your footsteps! The rock is a little hard to find, but that is part of the fun of exploration and discovery. Absolutely gorgeous, and almost everyone we met on the trail was friendly and cheerful, calling Happy Mothers Day! Back and forth, showing trail courtesy and moving aside for others to pass, and contributing to the spirit of the hike. Water was running in the creek, which our boys loved. Cant wait to come back with a picnic!

This trail needs some rehabilitation. Its an easy walk, and is dog friendly, but they need a few trash receptacles for waste. They also are in desperate need of a graffiti and trash clean up. Im sure this was a nice spot at one time, but a few people have spoiled it for everyone. I would never come back here, unless it was with a group of volunteers to clean it up. If you are into collecting aluminum & plastic, this place is a recyclers dream! New name for this trail should be Heart Broken Nature Walk.If you do come, I recommend super early, and not on the weekend. Then you might be able to sit for awhile in peace and imagine what this area was like before it was destroyed by humans.

Unique place near Crestline off the Camp Seeley. Trail was part paved and a sewer plant was off to the left past the Heartrock Trail marker. But far down the road. An employee in a truck passed us as we were hiking in. There was trash here and there. A trash can overloaded with water bottles on the ground. Trail goes up and parts can be slippery. Trial down to Heartrock is next to creek is steep. I would not recommend climbing down with kids under 11. We parked on the side of the road before you get to the Camp entrance, it was pretty busy. I would not recommend weekends.

Just a short hike from the road and well worth the drive. Easy access through Seely camp, with a few trail signs. Parking areas are along the main road just outside Seely camp entrance. There is a couple of steep spots but a fairly easy hike. I saw 2 tiny babies being hiked in and lots of kids. Heart Rock is visible from a view point at the end of the trail before the descent down to where the water flows. A nice family outing for sure.

Good hike, plenty of green and shade and very secluded. A big part of it is paved and saw people with kids and dogs. The waterfall was very cute with the heart rock but the path wasnt well defined. Theres a little sign saying heart rock stapled to a tree but it just takes you into the forest and there are trails up and down the creek. I really enjoyed it.

This was a good hike, not too bad as far as difficulty. You have to park out on the road in front of Camp Seely and walk the road down. Stay near the creek for the whole walk and you’ll get there. The trail is very pronounced and if there is an incline change it’s normally pretty simple w lots of foot holds so you won’t slip. Once you get to the heart shaped rock, you can go down and if you make your way to the water on the north side there’s about a 10 foot waterfall. Lots of pools of water for the little ones if you want to take your kids and let them get wet.

A short trail to the Heart Rock from the road. Easy trail, but a lot of rocks of different sizes to slip on if youre not careful especially climbing down to the heart rock or walking through the riverbed. The heart rock was definitely cool to see, but you probably wont get too many pictures up close to it since its below a huge rock and theres a drop off.

The view through out the entire trail will not disappoint. I saw so many beautiful trees. Also you CAN park at the trail head. Most people park at the entrance to Camp Seely is off Sierra Hg.If you drive in , make a slight left and follow the paved road for about 5 min you will reach the trail head on the right. In front will be a no access fence. To the left will be a turn out to park. On the dirt. Less of a trek and you avoid the hill.Howevers this is NOT an easy hike. Bring hiking shoes. The heart rock is under a steep cliff. The trail going down to the Fall seems simple enough but there are also very narrow curves on the edge of the mountain. So watch your step. It took me about an hour to get to the falls even though somebody on another review said itd take an 15 min. It wont. If you run,maybe,...If you want to break a leg or slide down or die. It took me 2 hours. Its harder walking back up so take your time. The waterfall and views and smells make it worthwhile.

This was an easy hike with mostly paved trails. The heart rock and stream were easy to find with signs. We took our 3 daughters and 2 dogs. The little pond was great for the girls to get their feet wet and the dogs had a blast. Would have given it 5 stars but the other reviewers were right. The bugs are annoying. We brought bug spray but the bugs dont land or bite. They just fly around your face. Even the dogs were bothered. Otherwise, it would have been 5 stars. We went in early September. It was a perfect temp...about 72 degrees. Lots of shade and nice breezes too. Definitely worth it if you appreciate nature.
