One of my favorite places to go for a walk. Its beautiful whatever the season. The main path branches off and crosses Pawtuxet River. The walk along the river is simply lovely. Yes, off leash dogs can be a problem, but Im not reviewing people here!

This is a perfect unimproved place to walk you dog off leash. Unmarked paths and the occasional wooden bridge. Bugs water mud. Like minded humans and cool canines. Perfect getaway for you and pooch.

My good friend lives very close and I was invited on a ‘dog walk’ a term commonly used as a euphemism for elicit behaviors. During the walk I was regaled with a particular story that caught my fancy about a group of n’er do wells who frequented the woods and trails amongst the park.As the story went on I learned of a man who was sitting in a camp chair in his unmentionables as if it were his living quarters. Come to find out he was partnered with a woman who, as it turned out, had been recently let go by the man on ‘permanent vacation’. This was to my surprise, quite a turn of the tables indeed. I couldn’t help to feel for this poor woman who was let go by a homeless man who lived with a dirt living room floor. True Shakespearean drama in Cranston, RI. I can’t wait to go back and get the latest installment of ‘As the Vine Grows’.

I am always charged by off-leashed dogs in this park. Dogs are not allowed off-leash, but every time I visit there are always dogs running around off-leash with their owner either nowhere to be seen, or yelling at them from a distance. There have been instances where my group is forced to freeze in place with fear when a dog runs at us full speed and our only option is to wait to see if this dog is going to attack us. This is a wonderful place to hike, but I am unable to bring my dog with me since uncontrollable dogs are likely to come running at us and terrify my shy dog.

Too many off leash dogs! This is not a dog park or dog run its a community nature reserve with paths connecting to stores and a main high way. Please leash your dogs they are harassing the public while running off their leashes. Again this is a community space NOT a dog park please have some respect for your community. Thank you.
