Well run gun club & very accommodating staff. When I joined I was greeted with the utmost kindness and respect.

If you are looking for an outdoor gun range that has all you could need this is the place to go. Not very busy, rifle range 50 to 300 yards. Lots of bays that is first come first serve and feels like your own private backyard. They have bays that you can bring your steel targets and set up as you wish! Great friendly personnel! Very welcoming and knowledgeable! Got my membership past Saturday and can’t wait to go again! It is 1 hour driving from Buckhead, Atlanta.

MEMBERS ONLY TURNED AWAY !!!!Went out to investigate the place yesterday.A Complete outrage. Prices are 600 a year plus additional fees are not included. Monthly 25 dollar fee.Rifle range out to 50 to 200 hundred yards. Steel Targets not Allowed. Have to make a 24 hour Appt prior to day shooting. Range overall was disappointing.Rules are Ridiculous at site....

Good private gun club. Check out their calendar for events open to the public. Lots of shotgun shooting stuff but I don’t shoot shoot shotguns.

Awesome gunclub more then enough room and activities

I have been here as a competitor for national level events and the facilities are great. The built in bathrooms make the biggest difference compared other similar ranges. I will always always appreciate them. The location itself is beautiful. Overall I love shooting big matches here. The service is spotty but that’s to be expected as it’s a rural area (which most big ranges need to be in).

Nicest staff and customers you will ever meet, just wish they were open more

I commented on yelp about the amazingly poor management of this range by Mr. Clay the manager who took my money on Saturday and kicked me out of his club on Monday. My offense is that I made a SUGGESTION about his website, nothing to do with his range. He wrote a long rambling response claiming how tough it is to run a Gun Club as a business and said that I chose to leave the club. Nothing could be further from the truth.His words from his email to me are listed below. I have then entire email thread preserved.Steven...Given the tone of your messages, I think that you and SRGC need to part company effective today....maybe you can find another gun club that will allow you to tell them how to govern their club, but I doubt it....but more power to you if you do....Just return your membership and gate access cards to the club via mail and I will refund your total membership fees today, terminate your membership and mail you a check...I believe, given your attitude and tone of this and the previous email, that SRGC will not be a good fit for you...I wish you well in your shooting endeavors elsewhereBill Clay, ManagerSRGCNow tell me whose choice it was to leave the club. If in fact I am welcome at the club, I would rejoin. The range officer and the lady running the club house are wonderful and the positions are well done. The only rule I didnt follow, which isnt on the web page is his requirement that I print out the rules from the website. My simple comment to him was that if he wanted people to print out the rules from the website, he should make them printer friendly on his website. It was a simple suggestion on my part and let to the explosion that resulted in the message above. Mr. Clay put his ego ahead of gaining a paying member who is more focused on safety than he could ever hope to be.To be clear, Mr Clay objection to me in his words were that I was trying to tell him how to run his gun club, when actually I only made a suggestion with regard to the web page. The truth is that the only people welcome in his gun club are those who meet his personal requirements with no consideration of whether that person will safely use the range and pay their dues annually. This is no way to run a business. I have shot at a great number of ranges across the country and the great ones all have a few things in common. They are run like a business that has specific safety requirements. The good ones dont have rules that say they will terminate a membership for cause with no refund of unused dues. The good ones will deny a shooter who is unsafe and will always seek to educate the novice about the rules of safety. South River Gun Club has great potential and the club house staff and the range safety officer I met were wonderful people. This could be a wonderful family oriented place, but under this management, it will only be a place for competitive shooters and the good ol boy friends of Mr. Clay.Further I have yet to see the promised refund and had to take it up with my credit card company.

I dont know where you went, but veterans receive a free membership, period. Great range, great people and great experience! Very knowledgeable RSOs and shop personnel. Overall, a very good range! Plus, 300 yards is a very hard range to track down in most places. Great place to go shoot & train!

Ive been a member of SRGC for 4 years now and I just renewed my membership for 2018. Ive heard people say that you meet the nicest people at a gun range and this facility is without a doubt true to that statement. If youre on the fence about joining go ahead and join, youll be glad you did.

I was shooting a large USPSA match. The bays were very spacious and was able to attend a large match here. I had an amazing time. With some amazing people hosting it.

Had a great time with my son skeet shooting. Nice facilities & friendly, helpful staff! We will be back.

What a beautiful and well maintained Gun Club.Everyone is so friendly and helpful.Access is extremely good and facilities provide everything you need in one place.

They dont allow class 3 weapons (Like the ones I like to shoot) and you have to be a NRA member, plus the fee to be a member here is over 600 dollars. While the place does have nice facilities, its only nice if youre a Fudd gun owner.

As a member this is a great facility. Open to all from amateur to professional, staff and other members are always open to help guest or new members. Havent seen any klansmen...

I guess you have to be a member to be a guest at this range. Went there and they say you have to be a member, & join the NRA, to use the range, i wonder ummm... Then again a range that don,t recognize your military service ummmm... They don,t accept non-members but on their web site they are telling you where you can stay if you are out of town, very kind ummm. I might just misundersatand...
