A new favorite stop. Step back in time to an authentic, friendly, rock shop and unique yard art store. We were visiting Cottonwood for the first time and were innocently strolling by, when a yard statue captivated us. And it was so modestly priced that we had to bring it home in the car (and what an adventure to move it in and out of the car every day as we camped our way back to Colorado). I am local but have to say that Jim & Ellens is the best place to shop for rocks and way more. Lots of metal sculptures for outside, pottery, geology books and rugs. Beautiful rugs. Stop in. You wont be disappointed. Go in before noon to see the greeters.

Nice older couple who have been around for years. Outstanding knowledge of the local geology and history of the Verde Valley. Tons literally tons of crystals and rocks of all shapes and sizes from various locations locally and abroad. Also if youre into tumbling and cutting stones they have the equipment for sale to do that as well.

I came here for the first time 4 years ago and vowed to return as I was impressed by the large selection of rocks, minerals fossils and other crafts. I will not wait so long as I have recently moved to Arizona 3 hours away. Great shop keepers very knowledgeable and helpful.

Interesting place if your into geology!

This casual shop is unassuming and laid back- and id give 5*s if there was a bit of organization to the lay out, So much cool things to check out tho and Ellen is really friendly and knowledgeable about the area and its history. There are all sorts of unique goodies and youll have a hard time leaving empty-handed especially if youre a rock hound.

A great place to buy unique and rare mostly raw crystals and stones, much cheaper than Sedona.

Lovely, low-key shop with a great selection!You can find all sorts of geodes, crystals, jewelry cabochons, and rock specimens here.We were pleased to find a nice variety including some rare items and large crystal and amethyst points. Well-priced considering most gemstone shops these days have high, posh prices for similar items. . .Also good place to find diamond bit drill heads for working with rock and bone.We had fun shopping here today

Good selection of merchandise . Have been in more than a couple of times and had to request help from owners when I was the only person in the store. Got a condescending tone from both Jim and Ellen when asking about certain things I had brought in seeking information , or things I was purchasing from them. The fact they are the only shop in the area with the selection they have I guess you can price gouge or certainly not care about customer service .

The place is wonderful and a must stop... But the true treasure are the owners.... Take the time and listen to a great story about Arizona
