Todd guided my daughters (11 and 13) and I on a really fun day of climbing. After sheltering in place for 3 months our focus was on a fun day out. Todd really understood what we wanted and was great at getting us on to some fun routes and then when the girls crushed them, encouraging them on to more challenging routes. After spending the morning rope climbing we wanted to ease in to the afternoon on some boulder problems. Todd was really accommodating in getting us out to some great boulders and his vibe and encouragement really set the tone for a super day out.All the gear provided was top notch and well definitely climb with him again (and ski when we are back in the winter).Thanks Todd!

Did a full day, two person guided climb with Todd today in Big Cottonwood Canyon. We had an amazing time. Todd was a great teacher, we both learned a ton, and we got to check a bunch of firsts off our list. First time climbing outdoors in Utah. First time on a multi-pitch climb. First time lead climbing. And we got to get a lot more experience belaying, making us both way more comfortable top-roping. If you are looking for a rock climbing guide in the SLC area, you will not be disappointed with In The Company of Guides. I would definitely hire Todd again.

Todd took us up Milford Needle in Utah in June 2020. It was a tough climb, but we all made it up thanks to Todds expert rock climbing and rope work. He had all the technical climbing gear we needed, and set up a rope system that allowed all of us to get up to the top and back down safely. Thanks Todd.

Spent 2 great days backcountry skiing in the Wasatch with Todd and had an awesome time!! Got to see and ski some areas we otherwise wouldnt have been able to get into. He was able to find good snow and show us some spectacular terrain. Todd was great; easy going, super easy to get along with and makes you feel at ease right off the bat, all while being dialed in and in total control. Got to pick up some great tips as well! Looking forward to skiing with him again!

Todd is awesome! There is very little else to say, but I will try!I have been on many trips with him, and every trip has been wonderful.Pre-trip, he sets up everything, and responds quickly to any questions I have — about how to prepare, gear to take, what to expect, etc.He arranges not just a Plan A, but also for contingencies in case weather or other conditions require us to shift our goals. Considering that nearly all our trips always have some sort of nature dependencies, the fact that we have never had to curtail an adventure because of bad planning really says a lot.And on the trip, he is a lot of fun — which means a lot, when you are stuck in a tent together with no other company!But honestly, I would say, even with all that, the number one reason to take a trip with Todd is for safety. There are a lot of guides out there. There is no one like Todd in terms of making sure you will have a fun, and totally safe, experience. I trust my life in his hands (and I have, many times)!

Todd is an awesome mountain guide!He was able to adjust our plans to the current snow and weather conditions to give us the best experience possible, and was super fun to ski with.He is also the most experienced adventurer I have ever been around, and I learned a ton about backcountry skiing from him in just one day.Cant wait to come back to Utah for more epic backcountry skiing with Todd.

I went on a full day tour with my boyfriend and Todd Passey and we had an AMAZING day. Todd was great at showing us the area, giving us different tour and run options, and guiding us safely through the terrain. It was a bluebird warm day and he still was able to find us light fresh powder. Super helpful and fun guide, excellent day, would highly recommend for anyone looking for the best experience in the Wasach Backcountry. We are definitely going to use this group again if we want another guided trip in the Alta area!

Had a great day with Todd Passey in the Wasatch backcountry. Todds an incredibly knowledgeable guide who tailored a really fun day for me and provided some great technique tips and instruction along the way. Every descent was unique and untracked (photo attached). Highly recommend Todd and his outfit...looking forward to another day for myself.
