Honestly one of my favorite places to hike. You get a lot of diversity in ecology. Theres some fun birds that live in the kinda near the river.

A little confusing to get to and there are no groomed trails, only some foot paths made by fellow hikers. That said, it is a beautiful place! Definitely amazing for photography and access to the railroad tracks, which is cool!

Tons of crazy oaks! Also sumac and beautiful hill of prairie grasses. Abrupt private properties flanking the park but still great.

This is great place for a moderate hike when the fall colors are peaking. The view out over the river on the east leg of the trail is really beautiful.

Nice place to walk. Its about a 2 mile walk from one side to the other.

What a lovely walk! Random purple flower patches. Flower trees. Extremely active wildlife. Saw an Eagle circling overhead. There were fish jumping in the clear lakes. Flows between Sandy dunes and forest. Perfect spring walk.

Nice open area to go for a walk. Only seen one person when walking.

No dogs allowed! Had my pup in the car, so Ill have to come back another time. Looks beautiful!

A Hidden Gem.So close to the city

Incredible views of the Mississippi River bluff area. Little gem of the area considering its only minutes off the highway and tucked between a few larger industrial areas. Parking is always available. Short hiking trail but not too short. Only downside is that dogs are not allowed.

Different plants specific to this terrain. From prairie to marshy to lake. Beware of ticks in May. Wear multiple layers and a sun hat if you want to enjoy the walk.

Very disappointed couldnt find the Lime Kiln. Asked different people for directions and each time got a different answer. Werent even able to find the Dunes. It was like people were watching our every move.

Nice quiet place to roam amongst the thimble weed and little bluestem... there are some parts of the land the make good examples of sand prairie... fairly undeveloped and undisturbed... I hope it stays that way

One of the very best places to see a wide variety of sparrows in the United States. On an early May visit, we had Henslows, Vesper, Field, LeContes, White-throated, Song, Swsmp, Grasshopper, Clay-colored, and more. Its amazing.

Theres a good path for a hike, restored prairie land, and good view from top of hill.

Beautiful views from high bluffs, lots of wildflowers, then descend and hike along the Mississippi.
