The dishes they serve are yummy and the team is efficient and cooperative. always when we eat in this place we enjoy a gorgeous evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.

So much fun listening to Steve Carson and Jameson sing. The atmosphere was great and everyone was so supportive. Loved it. Service was quick even though it was packed.

Went there for a drink & some good. Heard off the next door app that their tacos were legit. I had their blackened fish tacos & they were amazing!. Will definitely be back to try other menu items.

We love The Wayfarer! We have played there more times then we can count over the years! The sound, the food, the drinks, the vibe is the best! Good spot for a round of pool a drink and some live music. Lots of history (former Detroit bar) and they get a lot of great local artists as well as some main stream artists on occasion. You gotta check the website for updates on bands/artists because sometimes they don’t advertise the big names.

Excellent place to see a show or just have a drink. Located in an area that now has multiple options to choose from! It is small but if you get there on time youll enjoy up close views. They even have bench lounges against the wall for the lazy drink prices are pretty standard. Parking can be a challenge on busy nights. Ample smoking area.

Food is amazing with a nice selection of beer and cocktails, highly recommend ordering sliders when they have them.

Fun venue with good food. The concerts are great because there is a separate room from the bar where the sound is amazing and shows feel very intimate. You could also sit at the bar and enjoy the music while still being able to talk to your friends.

We went to see the band Tunnels on a Thursday night and found parking to be easy, the music was great, and the staff was friendly. Also an excellent sound system!

Unassuming spot with a pretty spacious floor space, a stage for music/live entertainment & standing room, tables, pool tables on the far end, darker woods & a clean color scheme. Wide selection of craft beer on tap. A dive bar for people who pay their bills on time.

I miss when this place was Detroit Bar, largely because the bands that came through were pretty high caliber, but also because some of the refinements that were made after the fact arent capitalized on the way they should be. I went here for a meal once and basically had to arm-wrestle the staff for a special order for one of our guests. The bands that come through arent anything amazing, but it seems like it takes an act of congress to get a booking there regardless. Also, they have a horrible tendency to not update the marquee and if they do, they put the neighborhood-specific advertisements (like football games) towards the commercial side of the street while putting the band advertisements toward the residential side of the street (I would do the opposite to better appeal to both.) I guess this is a solid spot for people who want to hang out at a strip-mall bar, but I fell out of love with this place some time ago.

The bartenders hear are are great, and the people have been pretty cool too. Idk about all the shows but the ones Ive seen have been good. I will be coming back.

Great bartenders and great bands!

Came here on a Saturday night. Literally nobody there. It was empty. Bartender (Zack, literally spoke 3 words to him) kicked me and my friends out for no reason despite the fact that we were totally respectful and calm. I was totally respectful of their requests to talk to me and they wouldn’t talk to me. Desperate bar for desperate people. I’ve been to a million bars in LA and throughout Europe and Asia. Been denied before but nothing like this. The bouncer had no idea why we got kicked out yet called me a “f*ggot” when i asked to discuss the problem. Absolutely disgraceful service. DO NOT COME HERE.Edit: hilarious that I can write this while “drunk” but the bartender can’t explain why he kicked me out. Ridiculous.

Closing at ten after ten? Change the hours in that case, but dont be rude about it. Clearly the folks working tonight - 9/3/19 - dont have a stake in the business as a whole. With friends sitting at the bar, and yet turning down a paying patron, I just dont see how they could.

The beer selection is always the latest and greatest, awesome live music, incredible food (best taco Tuesday on Orange County), stellar staff and extensive liquor selection. Yes it’s in a strip mall, but this is a great bar regardless. The Wayfarer is a huge upgrade from the old, Detroit bar.

I really like how this a 21+ venue. Ive been to other venues that have been filled with high school girls...The womens restrooms are also very nice. I would definitely come here again.

I love the setup here... stage & decent area for watching bands, that transitions to an open area with a nice bar. Keep going & theres another open area with a pool table. Kindof outta the way in an old shopping center, but definitely a good place to see bands, have drinks, and/or eat dinner.

Love seeing beer and hymns when they are there. The food is really good for a pub.

Love coming here with a friend from out of town. Good selection of pin ball machines and 80-90s video games. Bar has a good selection and when its not packed it can be really fun. Major downside is there is only one bar and it can be hard to move around inside because of that. They do have a back area with a food truck.

Great bar! I go here for taco Tuesdays with my wife! Delicious and great bar tending staff. Free pool? Yes..free pool. Sean dalton and the dude with long hair and tattoos were working at the time. Great guys. Highly recommended

Its a pretty chill bar on the weekdays, the staff are also pretty chill and attentive to people needing a drink, I never waited more than a minute or so.

This bar is great! Open floor plan with lots of space. Two free pool tables. Good selection of drinks. Live music. Contemporary interior/decorations. It makes me feel like Im at rustic barn wedding; its beautiful and awesome! Polite and helpful staff. Clean bathrooms with multiple stalls (despite there being a crowd, I didnt have to wait a single time to use the bathroom!) Fun group of people. I highly recommend this venue!

Food is great. Good selection of beers. But the service is where its at. The gentlemen behind the bar make a huge effort to get your drinks right away. Love this place.

This venue is really great, formerly The Detroit Bad. Great place for local music of all types and personally a great sound system. Drinks are good and lots of open room for large crowds.

Pretty nice bar with a stage, I go there to see my friends band play. They have good drinks and tables to eat at. People always seem to be having a good time and the place gives off a nice vibe!

Sean was an awesome bartender who knows how to pour a drink and keep a conversation. Atmosphere was lively, bands play which really gets the crowd amped and the pool tables help to break up the flow of the bar. Overall a radical establishment. Definitely recommend.

Liked it better when it was club mesa, then Detroit lounge, more of a hard core atmosphere. No more slam pits here... still has good music once in awhile, and I say once in awhile. Totally redone inside, classier, too many hipsters. Still has 2 pool tables. Food is better, but..... not the Costa Mesa land mark it used to be..

Awesome venue. Cant speak to the restaurant, as I was only here for a show and the drinks. Bar staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and the production on the show was excellent. Drinks were a tad pricey, but not bad.

Great happy hour specials, football games always on and pretty friendly staff. You can pay with an app that they were promoting last time we were there. Its kind of cool to pay from it and redeem coupons without having to wait for the check. They were still working out the kinks though when we tried to pay via the app.

A fun bar to go hang out with hipsters, rappers, cowboys, and all others. They have live music daily. The food is tasty and the drinks are stiff. You surly get your worth when you get a drink at the bar. Loud but fun environment to hang out in.

Saw Z-trip here one night. Definitely an upgrade from when it was Detroit bar. More open layout and nice atmosphere. I wasnt prepared for their sound system to wreck my ears.

The redesign a couple years ago did a world of good. this place is a must for food, drinks, and music, or chill out at the pool tables. Wish I lived closer!

I love Tuedsay Reggae nights. Some of the the bartenders are rude but I go for the music anyways!
