My first time to the Castro was a few months back to see Harold & Maude. It was a true experience! Beautiful theater, live organist and an interview with Bud Cort! The night couldnt have been better. Afterward I met a dear friend at the Twin Peaks bar at the corner for a drink - one of the best nights of my life! Parking can be a challenge however.

Came here 2/4 for the $5 special to watch weathering with you. The doors were not closed and you could hear noise from outside, the movie screen has some wear and tear. For $1 more you can go to amc in Tustin for nicer seats and better screens.

Best in Costa Mesa CA,alot of different choices as far as movie selection goes.

Nice megaplex. Free parking is convenient to the theater. $5 admission Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sunday matinees. If you see a line at the box office, you can enter on the left and buy tickets with a credit card from a machine just inside the door.

Perhaps my favorite movie theater in Southern California. They currently have many good deals for seniors and I believe Tuesdays are very inexpensive for everyone. As of this writing, at least. 10 February 2020.

The best prices for miles around!!! they are always friendly and they also keep the theaters and bathrooms really clean.

Never would have assumed there was a movie theater here. It was a gem to find. Near restaurants and bars. Have a drink after a movie. Elevators work so so. Will be back. Old school style movie theater.

This might not seem like a big deal, but their seats are the most comfortable in any cinema in OC. You can recline back, and their cushions provide ample cushion for your thighs and lower back. Very, very comfortable movie viewing experience.

This place is really nice I would basically say epic.. why because you can do a few things there. You can walk around the area come back to it. Between the area and the things in this place, you really have plenty of choices. You can totally hang out really nice, open /closed patio Etc. Hop over to the beach and come back over here and do some more stuff its excellent !!

Creamistry, this place is located on the Newport boulevard side of the triangle square and they have very delicious ice creams. Try it. Free parking inside the building. Enjoy

You cant beat the price! It may not have the amenities of other movie theaters, but its perfect for seeing the movie on the big screen! As noted by another reviewer, seats G10 and G11 are the best in the house, and we agree. Because you enter from the back of the theater, the light from the hallway does spill into the theater any time someone opens the door, but it was hardly noticeable.

Every time I go to see movie. It really really makes me angry people using there phones while the movie starts. This has to stop. I dont care what they say. They should not use there cell phone during the movie begins.. Because I see them doing streaming videos and taking photos too. They should be banned for good.

Since my Post ppeople are avoiding rush hour traffic and filling up on appetizer and drinks! Join the gym and spend the day at Newport triangle square and as dinero would say You can be in the circle too!!!!

Took in a $5.00 matinee on a Sunday with free parking woot woot! Nice.

The tickets are pretty cheap and there are a few cool restaurants around. However, the seats are a bit uncomfortable and not positioned like a traditional movie theater. The seats towards the back arent much higher than those in front, making it harder to see.

The ticket prices are reasonable, and the theater is clean and well maintained. The staff was helpful with my wifes wheelchair, and getting us to our seats. They also politely moved some people out of the seats we were supposed to have. We didnt have to try and deal with them ourselves and possibly invoke hard feelings. (I grew up before theaters had designated seats. Im not sure designated seats are an entirely unmixed blessing.) The movie was clear and without distortion or artifacts. The sound was well synchronized with the picture, and seemed to come from the correct location. (Imagine seeing a bus moving from left to right, but the sound moving in the opposite direction. Im happy to report this didnt happen in this theater.) The audio was clear, distinct, and not too loud. (I always carry a pair of ear plugs with me. The sound can be painfully loud in some theaters.) The popcorn and snacks are way overpriced, but that is normal for a movie theater. Overall, we had a pleasant visit and will be back.

I like that you can select your seating. Seats are comfortable and the theater is always clean. My only complain is that the doors to get into the theater are right next to the seating area so if you are in the back and someone opens the door, the light and outside noise can be very distracting while watching the movie.

Been coming here often for years. Ive only ever had one bad experience and even then management was so helpful. They have discounts certain days of the week so I recommend getting your tickets in advance on those specific days

Great place to see a movie! Comfortable seating and good selection of items at the concession stand. A variety of restaurants in the Triangle, should you decide on dinner after the movie. There is a dedicated multi level parking structure, sometimes a bit hard to find a space, but it is always free to park.

On Tues & Wed movies are $6.00 all day! Great deal! Clean theaters and bathrooms. I have encountered several very helpful staff members. The gentlemen at the concession stand have helped bring purchases to the theater twice when help was needed. If you ask for help you will get what you need, as in my case. :)

Very good movie theaters! Tuesdays and Wednesdays ticket prices are $6 for all showings. This is extremely nice but with summer hours watch out for all the teenagers that appear. The food is reasonably priced I guess but it would be good to have some sort of special like $2 hot dogs or something but aside from that the staff is friendly, the bathrooms are clean and the auditoriums give you a reminiscent feeling of being little at your local movie place!

This place might be old but has the latest movies and a very good place for hangouts been coming to this place for years as a teen myself I would definitely recommend for teens and adults.

I love the groupon deals and theater is always clean. Staff friendly and the two of us see movie.. large popcorn and drink $21- the assignment seats allow me to wonder and not me tied to my seat! It just takes once to realize what seats you like. Besides someone takes your seat you simply advise them and if not advise staff. Love assignment no longer waiting 30 minutes staring at screen

Had a great time and saw a surprising movie I would recommend, A Simple Favor. A little dark but with humor. Unfortunately this theater does not have the new reclining seats, however, the tickets cost less than other theaters.

We live REALLY close to this theatre and loved going here. We used to think of it as our local neighborhood theatre but now the prices have gone up and WORST of all you have to pick assigned seats when purchasing tickets. Its hard to determine where you want to sit unless you can test it out in person. I feel like this theatre is trying to be something it is not. Sad to see that.

Groupon is the way to go when coming here. As all movie theaters are...snacks are pricey! Great views from any seat selected. Some staff members are super friendly while others seem not so friendly. Overall its ok:)

Old style theater is awesome. Plush red curtains provide an awesome atmosphere. Only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is the awkwardness of the ticket buying process. I ended up having to buy three tickets and refunding one of them to get the spot I wanted.

I enjoy the movies they show there. Their prices are excellent when you watch matinee movies before 12 noon. The Cinema is clean and their chairs are comfortable. I really like this Cinema.

Saw Deadpool 2 there a few months ago. Good pricing, and it had nice staff. The movie was awesome and the theater was nice.

Nice theater. We can use MoviePass etickets there. Parking is easy and lots of food choices near by. Seating is really comfy with oversized seats.

Its a nice enough theater with fair pricing but I wish it didnt have reserved seating. It makes it very hard to coordinate with groups of friends especially when its a popular movie with a log line

Came here to see alita battle angel. It was raining and wasnt too crowded. Concessions as usual are way too expensive. Especially considering the carpet here is from the 1990s or something

The best deal for first-run films. Ticket prices are amazingly low - even for 3D films - and their concessions will actually NOT break the bank! My first choice for movie going! And, the Triangle finally has some great restaurants that have brought much-needed life back to this shopping center.

Been going here since I was born. Food is pricey, id say just eat at in n out just around the corner.
