I have had Cafe Mocha frappes at Starbucks and at McDonalds. And mind you they dont do a bad job or mocha frappe is there are very good. But the mocha frappe over at Coffee waves is beyond good. You can actually taste the bean. You could taste the roast, practically taste the smoke. It is high quality. It was just excellent. If I could have it every day, I would.

Always super friendly staff and their Gelato is so good! They always have unique flavors.

Great little joint! We’re from Albuquerque, NM, where we have an abundance of great coffee shops, and coffee waves would fit right in! Great for studying or chilling with friends.

Calm, relaxing atmosphere with delicious coffee... What a combination! Definitely worth a visit. Students its got a lot of outlets so if you want to crunch out that assignment just pop in and put on your finishing touches with a side of their seasonal coffee.

The coffee and other products are delicious, but the barista that works there doesnt come off as very friendly. I got sort of a psychopath vibe from him. Tall big guy with medium long straightened hair. Other than that coffee is good.

I hadn’t been to Coffee Waves in a long time. The atmosphere was calming, the shop was clean and above all, the coffee was superb! I highly recommend a trip to get a cuppa Joe!

The service was very friendly and attentive. The place has an awesome atmosphere. Reminds me of a restaurant in Philadelphia that I enjoyed.

I really wanted to like this place but I didn’t. It had good reviews so we gave it a try but both my dad and I got very bitter coffee. Not smooth and has a slightly burnt taste. I also ordered a blueberry muffin and there was literally no blueberries in it. (They did give us another one though which was nice) all around just very average. I’ll be going to Starbucks.

This place does it for me. Looking forward to a return visit. Food and atmosphere reminds me of Kansas City.

Could not enjoy a good sweet coffee without going here. Was recommended to me by a lot of my associates and was curious but I could understand why it was pretty good. Grabbed a macchiato and some black coffee which is highly recommended, and it has a nice view and little souvenirs if you are traveling.

This adorable local coffee shop has delicious coffee & tea. On this visit, my mother was surprised to find gelato on their menu and simply had to try it. She enjoyed her choice and we both left with a delicious treat in hand. The staff is friendly and the facility is welcoming + clean.

Best coffee. I hate going to Starbucks because their “fancy” drinks have little to no caffeine. I can come here and splurge on a mocha frappe for a dessert that still has that coffee taste and caffeine kick. Little disappointed that the other shop in Flour Bluff has cheaper prices though? Wish they were more consistent on prices.

When ever we come to visit Corpus we have to come here everyday that we are in town. We love this place! They have the best coffee drinks and staff in Corpus! Thanks guys!

Not only are these guys super accommodating to their customers, they treat my kids like family. Its a family friendly oriented, pet loving cozy environment and their drinks are unique and amazing.

Its an amazing stop. Not the tourist place and feels more like a local cozy spot. Affogato was delicious and they had a vegan gelato choices.

Drive thru attendant was helpful when we asked questions about their local menu. Coffee was decent but a little pricey.

Always a delight. The atmosphere is calm, relaxing, and the baristas blend this by making the flavors meld together. Oh and the Gelato is always refreshing so many delicious flavours to choose from. My favorite place.

Our daughter is visiting and wanted to try a new place for coffee , so we went here for the first time today. She was very impressed and wants to return next time she is in town. We like the ambiance of the place, the many areas to sit and all the plug ins for your devices. The Gelato was good and the coffee tasted like real coffee she said. The prices are about the same as the other well known coffee shop. It is a bit of a drive for us as we live about 35-40 minutes away, but we enjoyed our first time there. The staff was very nice to us also! Go and decide if this place fits your needs. Our daughter would say that it did hers. Have a good day!

We went way out of our way to visit this local coffee spot while waiting for the restaurant to open. It was definitely worth the extra drive. My pumpkin spice latte was so freaking good I sucked it down and then proceeded to try and suck all the spices and whipped cream at the bottom through my straw wth gusto!

Best damn coffee in Texas. I look forward to visiting Coffee Waves every time I go to the coast.

A cozy place to grab a cup of coffee. Limited tables so make sure to go at non-rush hours to take a seat. Also great for studying or working on papers/thesis or dissertation. I take on star off due to limited tables.

Best coffee shop in Corpus. This place was great. I would often come here to meet my friend to play chess. All of the people that worked here were really nice, and I can tell the business cares about the community. Its very close to TAMU-CC which is a plus.

Coffee is delicious and they have plenty of dairy alternatives! We didnt get to go inside due to COVID but Im sure its a relaxing place in there!

I love the coffee but bad vibes yo, uncomfortable with the customer service, hipsters that think they are so cool! Literally the guy was flirting with a girl for a legit 5 minutes or so after taking her order, while the other two workers stood behind the counter talking to each other. After placing my order he had to ask me again what my drink was, the whole time I felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable! Whatever back to stingers and roasted!

Coffee waves is the Chick-fil-a of coffee. It is delicious, has the best service and what helps is its actually open on Sundays! I love the Hug in a Mug, the Christmas in a Cup, the Grasshopper and the Chai Train. Best coffee shop in town!

Really wanna love this place, but currently hasnt won me over just yet from Starbucks. What could be a beautiful place is getting slightly run down. Drinks are great, just small and crazy expensive comparatively to other places. As a photographer though, this is a decent enough place to make a few cool shots. Thanks for allowing that. Staff has always been nice if a tad goofy. But thats just me being nitpicky.

Coffee is good but be prepared to wait in the drive through for 20 minutes for 2 coffees no matter the time.

No understands what their Tuesdays deals are unless they are a manager. Hit or miss service. The management is great when they are working. Overall great environment and decent coffee.

Admittedly biased. I dont care for coffee and the tea I got was just ok. I got an Italian soda which is apparently made in house but it had some strange flavor options as well as toppings (whipped cream on a soda?). They offer some nice reading material but my inner nerd was offended at the treatment of the comics. Again, this review comes with HEAVY bias.

I love this shop. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a diverse menu of coffees and smoothies, plus gelatos. I had a strawberry smoothie on an unseasonably warm day and it was perfect. A great place to group or solo study. I will definitely be back.

Hands down the best coffee in town. The only downside to this place is that it seems understaffed for how popular they are. It took me over 20 minutes to get my cup of coffee, but damn it was good.

Awesome friendly local chain

I feel like the prices have gone up and that three hour cut in the open times has really hurt my college experience Rewrite: hours got worse with COVID. While I can understand that, I feel like they won’t go back. Corpus already is a stressor when it comes to being a student. There is nowhere to go. Today I had a study day planned. Much to my surprise, a store was setup and they wouldn’t let me have my regular. Spot. A woman selling stuff was incredibly manipulative, trying to convince me to go sit outside. This is the most expensive coffee shop I know and it seems they’ve gone a step farther in their money obsession. My favorite spot to study has gone downhill in the past five years and I’m so angry. My being a regular here is obviously not appreciated. It makes me want to never spend a dime here again.

The coffee drink I had was just okay. The staff took my order but were just doing a job. Tried to be friendly when ordering my drink but the staff often seemed to ignore my comments. The place was filled with noisy college/high school kids.I wont be back.I know of coffee shops with way friendlier staff, a better atmosphere, and better coffee that I can go to instead.

I love the vanilla cold brew. Jerika recommended it and it’s my new favorite go to coffee here! She also “forced” me into some homemade gelato and I was not disappointed. She’s awesome and the coffee is just as good! Great vibes and a nice clean place for break during the day.

My husband and I were wanting to try a coffee...we love trying coffee shops while out of town. We stopped here and I had no idea what I wanted! I asked Anthony for help and suggestions and he was very sweet and helpful! I chose one of the options he suggested and it was declious! I got an iced white chocolate mocha with cinnamon and my husband got the Grasshopper Frappe, which was also very good!I knew I wanted to try the gelato...but there were many yummy options! I picked the 3 scoop and gave poor Anthony 5 options of ones that sounded good to me. He chose 2 out of 3 for me...and they were all so good, I was sad when I finished it!Needless to say, everything was great and the people that work there are very nice and helpful! We would definitely be back!

Good gelato and atmosphere, my family really liked it. My wife and I did feel old in a sea of college kids. It smelled like sulfur outside - not sure if thats due to proximity to an industrial site, dump, or construction. Hopefully theres no gas explosion in the near future, it was good gelato...

Gelato unfortunately was horrible. It was old, I believe they had problems with the refrigerator because the ice cream had melted previously and has been put in a freezer right afterwards. It was so hard that the guy couldn’t even scoop it into the cup. I got ricotta and coffee, I wasn’t able to finish it. I then told the cashier that the ice cream wasn’t really edible and that it tasted funny and the consistency was way off. He apologized, grabbed my cup and did not offer any refund. The place is very nice and has a lot of potential, but you guys need to work on quality and customer service.

As I approached the counter the employee said to the person in front of me, youre an employee you know how it works. They continued to chat. A man walked up and smiled at the employee. She smiled back, picked up a cup and nodded at them. I turned to leave and she said, maam are you ready?

I frequent Coffee Waves in the summer. Great coffee and specialty drinks and gelato. Free wifi. If you dine-in make sure you have your sweater. They keep the place chilly, which is a nice problem to have in tye summer.

Drip Coffee was terrible. I had a 12oz cup of the Mexican medium roast. It had almost no flavor. It looked and tasted like watered down Coffee. I was visiting C.C. and needed coffee for my drive home. The staff was more interested in talking with each other than hosting a customer. My Coffee cup was placed on the next counter but, the cashier did not tell me to look there for my coffee. I later saw 2 customers pick up their order from the counter. My Coffee had cooled by then.

We are digital nomads who were traveling through Corpus Christi. We visited here a couple days in a row to get work done. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff friendly, and the WiFi connection strong. The first day we got gelato, which was delicious, and the second day coffee, which was also great -- and the prices were reasonable, to boot! Highly recommended.

One of my favorite local coffee shops. The interior of the shop is really unique so I would recommend walking inside rather than going through the drive-thru if its youre first time there. They sell both coffee and tea options as well as gelato and baked goods.

Im a Coloradan whos in town for a visit; I visited this Coffee Waves location on suggestion from The Bartel Familys YouTube VLOG (definitely check it out if youre interested in learning more about everything that the lovely city of Corpus Christi has to offer). I couldnt be more impressed and happy with Coffee Waves--I stopped to work for several hours and its the ideal place to knock out some work ... super chill environment with a great ambiance. There are cozy nooks for working and outlets a-plenty ... the internet is fast and easy to hook up to. Oh, and the drinks! haha. An important point. I got a vanilla frappuccino (this is apparently called a big train at the Flour Bluff location) and it was delightful. The staff were friendly and professional and knew what they were doing. You know what else? They have freakin gelato. GELATO, YALL. Its September and its still hot and muggy down here in Corpus Christi, so I cant tell you how excited this Colorado girl is that they had gelato ... in loads of different flavors. I needed a place to work and a sweet treat to cool me down and Coffee Waves delivered in a great location ... definitely kicking off my Corpus Christi trip on the right foot. WILL return! This place ROCKS, for work, relaxation and everything in between.
